Overall, this is a good Publix if you are in the area. The staff is friendly and professional, as I have found at every Publix location. Publix definitely puts an emphasis on customer service and it definitely makes a difference. Publix is probably the most successful supermarket chain in Florida and with good reason. They offer that great customer service that I mentioned in the paragraph above, they have some great BOGO (buy one, get one free) deals every week, and no review of Publix would be complete without mentioning their subs from their deli (affectionately known as "Pub subs"). Publix makes a great sub and my go-to subs are either their Italian or their roast beef and cheese. Both are great choices and I would recommend either of them. A Publix sub is always vastly superior to any sandwich engineered in Florida. What's great is that you can order the deli items and subs online so they are ready once you arrive at the store. As always, shopping here is a pleasure so we stopped for some essentials before our trip and loaded up the cooler and bags with plenty of necessities. The aisles are wide enough where you don't feel like you're going to run someone over with your cart which is a plus. The beer cooler is at the perfect temperature and had a nice variety as well. Parking was easy and all the aisles were organized and stocked well. The meat selection was also packaged very well and I found everything I needed. Vegetables too. Haven't seen bruised or gross produce which is a plus. Nice wide area for choose fruit even with a large number of carts. All the other snacks. Frozen. Sodas. Pretty basic but a wide variety of these items. Name brand, pricier, Publix brand, and everything in between. Aisles are normal size but clean. Staff has always been friendly. Enough checkout aisles so no long lines. Friendly baggers. As far as going to a grocery store, even during a holiday rush this place is a pleasant experience. Two other locks Publix locations are not as awesome as this spot. Keep coming back here. Even trying other Publix spots thinking one will be as great as this spot. I was very upset to find out today that Publix Pharmacy has been sitting on my Rx for pain medicine for 10 days. I called the pharmacy and found out it has been on back-order. No date when it will be available. Meanwhile, I continue to experience real pain. It would be nice if a patient could be notified through the text system when a medication is not available and won't be available. 10 days! Yes, I was as patient as an angel. This Publix is located in Melbourne off of Wickham Avenue and Post Road. There is a small strip mall attached to the publix there is also a really great soup shop that I highly recommend going to for lunch. Across the street from the publics there is a Walmart. I have been to this Publix multiple times and I will continue to go back to them. My aunt and uncle go here 2 times a week and it's there go to grocery store in the area. Out of all of the supermarkets that I have been too throughout my travels the staff at this Publix is the nicest and most accommodating out of all of them. I wasn't even five steps in the door and one of their employees said hi how are you doing today. I also noticed that their staff members were assisting elderly people to their car with their bags. Pricewise this Publix is a bit more expensive than some of the other grocery stores in the area but like I always say you do get what you pay for. Compared to the supermarkets in New York this Publix is extremely clean and offers a lot of healthy eating choices. This Publix had its own health section within a range of nuts fruits salads organic section I was very impressed. They also had a really big deli section which has boars head cold cuts!!! They also had a hot tray station where they had everything for macaroni and cheese to wings and fresh homemade soups. To the right of the section they had all of their freshly baked bread and dessert stations. I went up to the deli counter and I ordered $75 worth of different cold cuts and the staff did not mind at all that I did not call my order in before coming in. they actually had two different employees getting my order ready I was very impressed by that. This publix is extremely clean and well taken care of. They do have a full wine and beer selection in the corner of the store in the front. Another interesting thing about the store is you can actually get live bait here for fishing. Really other than that it's a typical grocery store. Overall this store is a great grocery store. The staff here is extremely friendly and accommodating. The store is extremely clean and well taken care of. Every time that I am in Melbourne I will continue to go back to this publix. Whatever you do, do not get assisted by "JZ" in the deli section. You can tell she hates being there, and it shows in everything she does. She is passive-aggressive, rude, and speeds through everything. She will wrap your sub and squish it. I've gone through her three times, and each time was not pleasant. If you hate your job, find a better one, don't take it out on the customers just because you have to work a Saturday. I give 5 starts because everything else is great but her. read more

The produce in this store is consistently rotted, moldy or slimy. Had a bagger get me a package of strawberries. Upon getting them home, over half were inedible. I had already told the produce guy the quality was unacceptable, so he but new ones out and I had two of those. However he left the rotted ones on the shelf and that's what she brought me. They do mostly have the products so that is a bonus. Yes, the place is always clean but their people need attitude checks. They don't really follow the shopping is a pleasure moto. I go shopping here a few times a week... I always seem to forget something! The store is always spotless, the pharmacy is continently located right by the entrance. I've tried almost everything at the deli & its always delicious. Shelves are always well stocked with a variety of brand names & Publix brands which are typically just as good. I love stocking up on the BOGO deals each week too. They are quick to call up extra cashiers when things get busy. I wish they would do this in the deli as well. Sometimes it can be a long wait especially when someone order multiple subs and there's only 1-person making them. Most of the staff have been working here for years and they are always friendly. Why publix has just poor quality of produce; limited fresh fruits, vegetables, garlic, etc?

I like that my local Publix carries some organic produce, but it is very hit or miss. I've decided to talk to management every single time I'm in there so they really *get* that there is a problem. For instance, we buy about 6 almond milks every time we're in the store. Half the time it's not stocked on the shelf and we have to ask for it, and the other half the time it's not stocked on the shelf and they're out of it. When I talk to the stockers, they say "it's just a good seller". When I talk with management, they say it's an automatic vendor re-stock and they have no control over that product. Well, if it's such a good seller, please restock more frequently... it will be an even better seller if it's there for people to purchase. My husband is so frustrated over this, that he won't even go to Publix for almond milk any longer. He heads across the street to the Neighborhood Walmart who always has it stocked. Another big issue is placement of the organic produce. As soon as the loose organic produce is sold out, the stockers will fill those spaces with non-organic produce. PLEASE do not put chemically-treated items in non-chemically treated places. It's defeating the purpose. Also, after shopping at the local health food store and the local farms where I buy most of my produce, I then head to Publix to pick up the things they stock that the other places don't always have...like organic green apples, organic spinach (large boxes), organic cauliflower, etc. I went this week and there was no spinach. Again. Empty shelf space for it, but no produce. I asked if they had it in the back and was told that the truck came that day but only delivered one box of mixed greens (which I had already put in my cart). So I go to the store manager to discuss again. She's always very nice, but she does not get it. I'm sure in her mind she's thinking, "it's just a couple boxes of spinach we don't have", but what she doesn't get is that I have $200 of produce in my car or refrigerator for juicing, and I need the spinach for the juice, too. AND, I could have bought the small boxes from the health food store. Frustrating. Another This would be a 1-star review, but I'm adding a 2nd star because they hire the disabled. My sister is disabled and has worked for a different Publix store for around 30 years. Bravo, Publix, for your big heart in this regard!
