I usually gas at Costco but for nearby gas stations close to my home, this is my go to. It's easy access to get in and out of, free air for your tires, gas is cheaper, they sell lottery, and the inside is really clean. My friends from work rave about the food. I have not yet to try but will definitely partake in that next time. It's not nowhere near Buc-ee's but I like them better than most gas stations. read more

Five for the people...one star for the system. Pull into one of these mega gas-station/fast-food/coffee/convenience-store hybrids and you usually expect three things: slow service, mediocre food, and a staff that looks like they just lost a fantasy football bet. Well... two outta three ain't bad. The service? Shockingly upbeat. Friendly. Encouraging. Practically rooting for me to order more like a personal trainer who works at a fryer. Credit where due -- the crew is doing a great job. But the system they're trapped in? Oof. Ordering a single chicken sandwich took over 15 minutes... at 11 PM... with nobody else ordering. That's not a staffing issue -- that's a process designed by someone who thinks "efficiency" is a government committee that meets quarterly to discuss the definition of "soon." I watched. The three workers never stopped being productive on their directed tasks. Great people. Bad design. Great people! As Dr. Edwards Demning founder of quality used to say, "99.9 of the time is the process not the line workers/people" The chicken sandwich itself? Flavor layering isn't bad -- but the bun arrives at that magical temperature known as "left on a windowsill in February." Here's the real tragedy: this place should be printing money. Fantastic location. Tons of traffic. But management runs it like a subsidized public works project instead of a business. You can practically hear the TIF funding paperwork rustling in the background that the local Union Township trustees prolly got on their knees to fluster about in front of the investors all while customers age in line. With smarter food systems workflow, profits here could easily double. Instead, it's a gimmick operation trying to keep up with the giant 100-pump behemoths that rhyme with Suckees -- except those guys run like a Swiss watch on espresso. My advice: Order early... or bring a novel. Or just drive to a next door fast-food place and experience the radical concept of "fast." But hey -- what do I know? I've only written about 700 yelp reviews and a few books on growth systems that could fix this food profits loser. Good luck, franchisees. You're doing your part. Happy to see this location open so convenient to home. Being from the Northeast I love that Wawa has now come here. IYKYK! Make sure to sign up for their rewards as I received a free birthday drink! I came to retrieve it and it was easy. I got a nice giant frozen coke which did not disappoint. Their gas is usually reasonably priced compared to competitors although it is not Top Tier certified. Now lets talk about the Food. I know I know, people hear gas station food and get the ICK, but Wawa is an exception. They have great drinks for starters, but really my favorite thing is the Italian sub. Its inexpensive and done right. They make it fresh to order! Try it out! read more

so I made my second stop at Wawa's Eastgate, with my expectations much lower due to the meh italian sub from my first trip there I skipped drinks this time since they are, as noted on my first visit, excessively expensive here I used the touch screen to order a meatball parmesan sub. It looks like they have a second meatball sandwich, just called meatball sandwich, which I think is the same but doesnt have cheese. The order screen did not let me order extra parm or extra sauce, so I clicked on "special order" at the end. The screen says someone will come talk to you about your special order, so I waited a bit, and the order was auto-cancelled after about a minute I talked to a manager before trying again, trying to avoid the same result. He said a sandwich maker will call your order number after you place the order to go over special requests. I do not like this because then I am forced to order a sandwich without knowing if they can (or are willing) to do what I want done The sandwich maker was very, very friendly, and answered all my questions, and did accommodate my special requests, which were for heavy sauce and heavy parm. The parm is just the green shaker can grocery store stuff, which isnt optimal but ok. He said he could put extra sauce on the sandwich and give me a cup of marinara for dipping. There was no additional charge for this cup of marinara, which I appreciated I did also ask him about the "sweet pepper" topping. This is indeed sliced bell peppers. The picture in the order system shows red and yellow peppers, which I prefer greatly over green, but what you get is mostly green peppers. The big problem here is that these are NOT freshly sliced peppers - they come from a jar soaking in some sort of liquid. Maybe just salted water, but I dont know. They did not taste pickled. I ended up picking these out before I ate the sandwich. The sandwich itself was meh. Bread was ok, meatballs were good texture but lacked seasoning. The onions were sliced fresh but were the bitter/sour type. The asked-for heavy parm was not detectable, and there was no extra sauce on the sandwich. I would say this made me extra glad I got the extra cup of sauce, but it was not flavorful at all Overall, not good, but not terrible either. A little below Subway in food quality (and I should mention they do not have much variety in bread, unlike subway) but at a higher price. I'd eat it again if someone else paid for it. I still think a place with this much space dedicated to ready to eat foods like this sandwich needs a space to eat indoors, especially when it is well below freezing like it was tonight, but there isnt even a stand-at bar for this. Went in for a $6 deal. Cashier explained buy any cold sub, chips & small drink. Ordered turkey sand etc. Went back to cashier would not ring for $6. Called Manager. Manager stated it only applied to the small sandwich. I explained that that is not how I was told. He refused to honor the six dollars and threw the sandwich away. read more

The staff at the food counter weren't very patient even though I told them it was my first time. You have to order at one counter but have to go to the cashier to pay for it which was a little confusing. Got the turkey and provolone cheese sub and honestly I was not impressed. Probably won't go back. read more

This is the 2nd time I have ordered a Fried Chicken Salad Bowl and dis not receive the extra items I paid for. Extra Chicken, extra bacon and a hardboiled egg. read more

Wawa coffee is superior to any other convenience store. The terminals to punch in the orders are also more efficient than Sheetz. Wawa is fantastic. read more
