Well... two outta three ain't bad. The service? Shockingly upbeat. Friendly. Encouraging. Practically rooting for me to order more like a personal trainer who works at a fryer. Credit where due -- the crew is doing a great job. But the system they're trapped in? Oof. Ordering a single chicken sandwich took over 15 minutes... at 11 PM... with nobody else ordering. That's not a staffing issue -- that's a process designed by someone who thinks "efficiency" is a government committee that meets quarterly to discuss the definition of "soon." I watched. The three workers never stopped being productive on their directed tasks. Great people. Bad design. Great people! As Dr. Edwards Demning founder of quality used to say, "99.9 of the time is the process not the line workers/people" The chicken sandwich itself? Flavor layering isn't bad -- but the bun arrives at that magical temperature known as "left on a windowsill in February." Here's the real tragedy: this place should be printing money. Fantastic location. Tons of traffic. But management runs it like a subsidized public works project instead of a business. You can practically hear the TIF funding paperwork rustling in the background that the local Union Township trustees prolly got on their knees to fluster about in front of the investors all while customers age in line. With smarter food systems workflow, profits here could easily double. Instead, it's a gimmick operation trying to keep up with the giant 100-pump behemoths that rhyme with Suckees -- except those guys run like a Swiss watch on espresso. My advice: Order early... or bring a novel. Or just drive to a next door fast-food place and experience the radical concept of "fast." But hey -- what do I know? I've only written about 700 yelp reviews and a few books on growth systems that could fix this food profits loser. Good luck, franchisees. You're doing your part. At the counter was a bowl full of peoples tickets, so I thought I had to give my ticket to her and pay. When the food was ready and I handed the server the ticket she said no, you gotta go to another kiosk to pay for it. So off I go back to the first kiosk I was at. Paid for it but had to have the manager help me figure out how to use my mobile app to get the points as there was no prompt on the screen to scan anything. So you just scan your phone at any time and it goes on your app. So off I go back to the food counter and waited again for the okay to grab my food and ask for a bag. The girl said ok you can take it now but bags are over there by the kiosk. Ok...I turn around sandwiches in hand and a nice customer was already heading towards me with a bag smiling like "I been there". He said if you ever get bowl with a lid, the lids don't stay on so make sure you tie the bag in a not over the bowl like this. (He showed me his bag). So I appreciated the kind man helping me lol. The toasting option and range of toppings was among the best I've seen especially the rare but quite tasty breaded crispy onions which I haven't seen at many places at all. The service was better than many places and the building looked well kept. The bread was a little thin. Aside from slightly thin bread which made holding the sandwich together a bit more challenging, the self serve drinks counter is a bit confusing and the touch pad order seems to be missing some customizable options. I didn't look over the whole store but comparatively the milk looked a bit pricey. Turkey is pretty good quality meat about the same level as some of the top sub places. Overall it was better than anticipated and among the better deli sub places I've been too. The downsides weren't too bad and mostly can be easily corrected with advanced knowledge or a trial trip or two until you get accustomed to it. As for the bread, since they have several bread options serve as great counter options though the thin bread isn't a major issue either as it still held together better than some places who have such bread that are much harder to deal with.
