As a former resident in PA and NJ and a current frequent traveler on the PA turnpike, I was delighted when a Wawa opened in my area. At first, this store was great, like all the others I have visited in the past. The last few times, not so much. Today three or four of the coffee dispensers were out with signs on them saying so. I asked one of the employees and she said they only make new coffee at certain times of the day. She offered to make some as an exception but waiting around was not an option for me. The coffee that was out were not the exotic ones but rather included "Columbian". I settled on another only to find no 2% milk in the middle of the coffee station but did find someone's old water bottle and 2 almost empty bottles of whole milk. I asked to talk to the manager who apologized but said it was a "training store". Im not sure why that would make things worse not better! Staffing is obviously not an issue there because there was a gaggle of employees behind the food ordering counter just laughing and talking with apparently nothing to do. After all is said and done, the experience was not great and probably would not have improved even if the manager had "comped" my small coffee but she did not! read more
