Incredibly fast and pleasant when coming to pick up/drop off laundry. Always deliver back the same day. Highly recommend!

Most reviews here are for the drop off, which I've only done once, and it was fine. I tend to join the crew of locals and do my laundry. It is what it is, a laundromat. You come here to get your wash done, just don't expect any semblance of customer service. Any time I've interacted with staff their stoicism and short responses indicate that they probably wish all customers just dropped off their laundry. read more

I read all the reviews before trying these guys and they didn't disappoint! After an #epicfail from Crystal Touch Laundry (see my review), Waverly Wu saved the day! Not only did the driver come to my door but when invited, he came a few feet in to grab the heavy bag that I wasn't able to scootch to the door on crutches. All items were clean and unfaded and folded neatly back into the laundry bag. The only thing I could wish for would be a mildly fragranced detergent or fabric softener- I'll send some Bounce sheets with the next load :-). read more

I was so happy to find Waverly Wu Pick-up/Drop-off laundry service. !st time I used them they were friendly, quick, gave them a credit card the they keep on file for the charge. Great. However, the second time was a disaster. Again, called for pick-up, very friendly, quick turnaround. But this time, the delivery guy made a scene in my lobby, yelling at my door person, insisting someone come down and then then starting shouting at my wife to give him a tip. I thought I had found a gem but I cannot risk having a delivery guy make a scene in my lobby and yelling at my apartment workers and my family. read more

This place is great. Incredibly fast, reliable and haven't lost or ruined my laundry. Detergent seems fine and clothes come clean for a quick laundry place. Also open on Sundays which is unusual for other laundry services. read more

Doing the laundry used to be the bane of my existence but now having it done by Waverly Wu is on my top 5 of things I hate. The attitude here is extremely terrible. Some might even mumble under their breath disrespectful. Enough to motivate me go to the laundromat to do it myself, while I figure out a way to get a washer/dryer in my humble apartment. I understand that it's just the laundry but why all the un-pleasantantries when you pick up the phone? When someone's credit card gets declined or when it finally goes through? Clearly if you're making enough money to make it a drop off/pickup service only, then you can be nice to the people who've made you millions. read more

Excellent customer service!!!! The entire staff is always friendly and helpful. The Gentleman who has been working here for years has the best memory, it's astounding. He greets me by name when I come in and already knows my bag and where he put it. Many of the staff members always help me tie up my bag comfortably to my laundry cart when it's too heavy and always have amusing friendly chit chat while I'm waiting. I wish there were more places like this in the neighborhood, it seems like this kind of customer service is a thing of the past with newer buisinesses in Ft. Greene/ Clinton Hill. I'm fed up with these guys. I want to give them the benefit of the doubt bc I want to support Asian based businesses but these guys take unprofessional to another level. After the first time of giving clear instructions (due to the fact that they send non English speaking delivery people who essentially defeats the purpose of pick up service) to 1) not wash my bag given that it ruins it and 2) wash my clothes more thoroughly, they did neither after I wrote down simple instructions what to do. I'm a low maintenance guy so I don't even have that many nice clothes but after receiving shirts for the fifth time that came back still dirty, I'm fed up. I hope these guys fail. read more

I love this place so much :') Really awesome pick-up & drop-off service; you call, they're friendly, they come within an hour (they're not far from me and always arrive in 20 minutes, and actually pick up the phone if you need an ETA) if you request next-day drop-off they get it done. Everything is fresh, neatly folded, and separated. So easy, so friendly, so reliable, very easy to coordinate with. I forget his name, but one gentleman actually carried my laundry up to my 3rd floor apartment (I did not ask him to do that!) I've never trusted another laundry service so much. Not sure what happened since my previous few experiences but the quality of their service has gone down significantly (or it is just very inconsistent). I was told that my laundry would not be dropped off on the same day as the pick up unless I leave it for pick up prior to 11AM. So I called them in the morning around 9am to let them know to pick up my laundry. Three hours gone by and I then got a notification that my laundry got picked up, meaning my laundry won't return until the day after. The frustrating part is they did not bother to acknowledge or inform me that they had a late pick up and won't be able to deliver the day of. Second, I don't get notified on whether they will drop off the laundry the day after either. I called an hour before closing the following day to ask if they can drop off the laundry and they answer the call as if they didn't plan on dropping it off until I called... Lastly, as a few others have pointed out, on some occasions the clothes are neatly folded and on other occasions the clothes are just sort of thrown together and folded in a sloppy fashion. read more

Clothes were clean, but customer service sucks. Second time using them, first time was great. Second time they came almost 45 minutes later than the scheduled time even though I live 15 minutes away. Then the rude delivery guy immediately demands a tip. Then I decide to give his rude behind a tip and he says "That's all?" Keep in mind that I had 2 large bags of clothes and they made a killing off me. Wth NEVER using them again. read more

Not very good. Inconsistent service but constantly lose my clothes. They are quick but at the price of losing and damaging your clothes.

This place is amazing. I've lived in the neighborhood for almost 2 years at this point, and their my go to wash-and-fold spot. Reasonably priced, and they have a really quick turnover which is the most important thing for me. They'll accommodate same-day pick up if you need it, and my they always fold everything so I can slide it right in my dresser, match all my socks, all that good stuff. I try and do my laundry on my own but I always use Waverly-Wu if I'm busy or just want some help getting it done. read more

Sheer delight! I've used their wash and fold delivery service for over three years now and I can tell you it's the easiest and best way to get your laundry done. Everything is perfectly folded and smells like a dream (but no weird chemical laundry scents). They are fast, polite, and so on top of their game! I accidentally gave them a few things this morning that can't go in the dryer (oops) and I literally just got my laundry with a smaller bag on top, those EXACT items sorted out, and a hand-written note telling me to please hang them up because they were still damp - did I mention that they do same day delivery?! I am writing this 5-star review because Waverly Wu just ruined a shirt. They accidentally spilled bleach on the collar of a brand new Banana Republic button down. Why the 5 stars? Because clothes always get ruined by dry cleaners and laundromats in NYC and the businesses never take responsibility. Waverly offered me cash or credit for 3 wash and fold services, which is the responsible thing to do. They also are incredibly friendly, their rates are good, and they offer pick up and drop off whenever I need it. read more

This place is awesome! I hate doing laundry, so the pick up & delivery services are super convenient. Here's how it works: You call them & ask them to pick up your laundry. After the first service, they'll have your name and address on file, so you won't even have to tell them again. I personally attach specific directions on the bags with a post card and stapler to let them know how I want the items washed (cold, delicate, etc.), but that's not mandatory. Within 30-60 minutes (depending on the time that you call), they'll come and pick up your laundry. If you call them early enough, you can get it back the SAME DAY! I usually opt for the next day drop off though. You call them to request a drop off and they'll tell you how much it came out to. They call you when they arrive, you pay, get your laundry and you are done! read more

What a superb job on my pick-up and drop-off service. It was picked up and dropped off within 4 hours. The charge is 10lb minimum for $9.00, and anything over that is $.90/lb. Staff and delivery were very nice and even delivered in the rain. Worth every star for the rating and deserve more stars. You won't regret giving them your laundry--they handle everything with care and smells great when its returned. (It's the laundry ideal!) read more

I broke my foot RIGHT before I was about to drag a load of laundry to my local laundromat, and was looking at six weeks in a 4th-floor walkup with a boot cast -- and only one clean pair of underwear. What now? A friend suggested seeing about pickup services; Waverly Wu not only did all my wash cheaply, they were able to bring it back to me that SAME DAY, and the guy who brought my laundry back even bonded with me a little bit over my broken foot. I have nothing but wonderful things to say about them - we have been sending our towels, sheets and blankets to them and they are very nice and very quick. For existing customers they also know who you are and what you need when you call! For example, today they answered the phone by saying "Hi Taylor would you like your towels dropped off?" I would give zero stars if I could. They refused to wash a large portion of my clothes, and randomly told me they no longer served my neighborhood when they got mad that I pointed this out. They were trying to force me to pay higher prices for dry cleaning. Avoid at all costs. read more

They're on time, have never lost or ruined anything, and I just learned that they'll accept credit cards over the phone. Their delivery guy is real nice, so I try to tip him well. Avoid, avoid, avoid. I went here for the sake of convenience (since it's only a block away) to have my futon cover and some pillows/pillow covers cleaned following some construction in my apartment. They insisted that a pillow was feather down when it was obviously synthetic cotton batting--and made me pay for it. When I picked up my order several days later (as they were very emphatic about next day pickup being impossible), you could hardly tell that anything had been cleaned at all. I love this guys. You can always count on them. They do same day pick up and drop off services (if you have them pick up in the morning). They follows your instructions great, everything is nicely fold, and they are always so friendly. I have been using them for few years now, and very happy with them. And for the few times I had tiny problem with a load, they are great in communicating it and will always fix it. This is the best place in the neighborhood for pick up/drop off!
