With so many brand new Shoppers Drug Mart locations in metro, it's funny that ones like this can…read morestill survive. They have the bare minimum compared to other locations, missing out on the potential to expand their beauty and cosmetics departments to meet the standards of their other locations for busy mall shoppers. Staff were friendly and helpful although their isn't much they can do when the product isn't carried by their location. It's strange though being told 'no' for a certain cologne only to be directed to almost any other Shoppers location where I would definitely be able to find it. Great for emergency pick-ups while you're already at the mall, not so great for special items.

But, it does matter a little bit when I'm not fully satisfied. Don't get me wrong, many of my needs are being met. Of all the things I want, a lot of that is here. Plus, hey, the location is great. Super-convenient. And I can usually get in and out really quickly. (Which, just so we're clear, is a positive) There's rarely any hassles or hold-ups. But I've come to expect more. And this just doesn't measure up. Often when I leave, I feel like I'm not fully satisfied. Like there's more that could have happened. But maybe it's me.

I make no secret of considering its maze of aisles my own personal hell on earth and I generally enter fight-or-flight mode as soon as I pull up in the parking lot. Still, yesterday I had the good fortune of having not one, not two, but THREE positive interactions with friendly, polite, and helpful staff! I could hardly believe it. Not an eye-roll, not a heavy sigh, not a dismissive point in a vague direction - I actually received real, live customer service. So, while Walmart may still not be my jam, I have to give credit where credit's due. The folks I talked to knew exactly where the obscure items I was looking for were hidden and actually walked me there instead of sending me on my way. Plus, I was rung through by someone who was genuinely nice and knew better than to hit me with a 'hon' or 'dear.' No complaints for once!

If you've ever thought to yourself "this drugstore could use a second floor" then you're in luck,…read morebecause this one has it! On the first floor you'll find the huge cosmetics section (my personal fave), cleaning supplies, cashiers and the grocery section. If you're looking for cosmetics this is the best place to come for huge selection - they have a huge beauty boutique (Chanel! Urban Decay! Clinique!) and a good amount of affordable cosmetics too. Their NYX section is pretty great, though I still find myself popping between here and Lawton's as their stock varies quite a bit between the two. Upstairs you will find the pharmacy, seasonal goodies (mmm chocolates), hair care, cold and flu medications - the rest of the things you'd expect to find in a drugstore. This pharmacy is the best one I've ever been to - the staff are very helpful and caring, they explain anything you may need to know and I never feel rushed if I have questions.

Not good if you're working during the week & need something unexpectedly in your off time, especially when there is nothing nearby like it except a couple convenience stores (which overcharge) I live a block away & would prefer to support this store over convenience stores but it's tricky to get in there. I don't get my prescriptions here because it's too risky if I need a refill unexpectedly and they're closed. It's a full dispensing pharmacy with free local delivery and some of the nicest, most caring professionals I've ever met behind the counter. They are really an active part of the health care team for each of their customers, and couldn't be nicer or more helpful. They have a great relationship with all the local doctors. Kinley also has an extensive selection of home care products staffed by a full time LPN. With an aging population, this is very important. You can rent or purchase lots of equipment or supplies here, as well as participate in food care clinics and testing and monitoring for diabetics. They also have all the regular drug store products you'd expect.
