Either they don't have the medication, or they have to special order it, or they only give me a few pills and tell me they owe me the rest... Many times they actually forget to special order the items I need without having to be reminded by me calling them... so everything usually takes much longer to get than was promised initially. The store itself is kind of cute, albeit sparsely so. There are your typical odds and ends you'd expect at an independent pharmacy.. nothing out of the ordinary here. I do like that they're connected to the medical clinic though.

The main store is pretty large, you can get almost everything you need there. A bit sad that they stopped selling eggs. The lady's working the counter are always friendly, but its odd that I have never seen a guy working here(been living on the street for over 5 years). The pharmacy is quick, and their always friendly and easy to chat with. **Wait time for prescription drugs is usually 10min. The Canada post is nice enough to offer free envelopes; depending on who's working.

Knowing I needed munchies for the evening, I decided to head in. Pharmasave are a different calibre. They are all independently owned. This one, is very nice. New and clean, great staff and all the amenities you need, including, a nice souvenir /gift ware section. But I was proven yet again that assumptions are always wrong. Their pricing is just as good and they also take Air Miles. The staff are friendly and helpful but most of the time you have to ask them for help before they will offer it. That's alright though, since when they do start to help I never feel like I am putting them out of their way. They are happy to give me a hand. They have a good enough selection of products to choose from but I wish they had more of a healthy food section. They basically don't have one but do have a few products kicking around. And with so much space, I think they could afford to implement a food section. But at the end of the day, most things I want to get at a pharmacy are here. And given the fact that this Pharmacy is closer to me than the other ones, I'll be stopping by here before I go into the mega Pharmacies.

And sure, it's just like pretty much every other Shoppers out there- but what I like about this store is that everything is in it's place, whereas other Shoppers can be a bit chaotic when trying to find that certain something. As usual, I always like to hit up the cosmetics counter when I go to Shoppers, 'cause you can score some really sa-weet deals (I always look out for their sales on Physician's formula products- doesn't happen as often as I'd like, but when it does it's like Christmas came early!!). I was a little surprised that this location doesn't truly separate it's cosmetics department from the rest of the store (if you've ever been to the Shoppers on Spring Garden, you'll catch my drift). That said, the staff who work there are excellent, and certainly compensate for that. The pharmacy staff are great here- they really know their stuff, and they take the time to explain exactly what to do/expect with your medications. Exactly what you'd expect from a pharmacy with bonus friendly service! In terms of other stuff...this store has all the essentials. I've bought everything here, from milk, to dishwasher tabs, to pantyhouse, to my weekly People and US Weekly magazines . Keep on top of sales, as you might find a better deal at Walmart etc. Oh and when they do the wole "do you have your Optimum card?" spiel, use it---those points can really come in handy (when I was still a student, I bought all my makeup using Optimum points!!) A few weeks ago they had Breyers ice cream for only $3.99 For our weekly Shoppers run, we have started to make it a point to shop at this location more than other ones that are closer to my home. The biggest reason is that they have their advertised sale items in stock where a lot of the other locations have run out. This store is clean, easy ample parking, close to other amenities and quick efficient staff. One of my favorite Shoppers Drug Mart locations.

Believe it or not, this small drugstore has a great gift-ware selection so if you are in a jam for a gift you may want to pop in to this Lawtons. I also like that they have a Home Health section where you can buy or rent just about anything you may need to make life at home easier.
