Horrible, Horrible, Horrible. I can only describe my experience getting an ultrasound here as horrifying. I wish I would have read these yelp reviews prior to my U/S, as I am not the only person who left this " examination" feeling as if a victim of torture. First, let me start that for the cost and reputation can you PURCHASE A PROPER PELVIC BED. I'd rather not prop my rear end on a plastic box, thanks. I do believe my 388.00 copay should buy me a slightly more appropriate set up. Los Coyotes should be ashamed of themselves. I have practiced medicine for 15 years and never am hard-pressed to imagine that a facility who performs likely 50-100/pelvic ultrasound exams ( conservatively) a week, cannot provide the appropriate equipment to permit dignified, comfortable and accurate examination. For a TVUS that is really what you pass off as satisfactory. THEN, the technician is so rude, does not listen or appear to understand the nuanced English language. So phases such as "Please, " that hurts" , " I can't and finally" stop" appear to have no meaning. I cannot hold them 100% accountable as the poor tech, as horrid as her demeanor was, I felt she was under a tremendous amount of pressure to just churn out the patients. She was not shy about telling me, how upset she was that my medical condition was hampering her exam. That my body was not cooperating with her schedule. I had been in a car accident 2 days prior to the exam, tearing ligaments, so being now expected to flex my knees and lift hold my body in the air, on a box, ( as opposed to the proper "pelvic bed" which is industry standard) left me in tears ( literally). I was in so much pain from being forced to bend my knee which was black and blue, swollen with fluid and clearly injured, after 40 minute ( 40 minutes!!!!) I finally had to order her to remove her hands and probe from me. If I wasn't limping I would have ran from the building. There is more. Between the Pelvic US and the TVUS, you ( very thankfully get to empty your bladder. You are dying to urinate, as it is normal to be holding this full bladder for over an hour, This is normal and NOT MY COMPLAINT, the exam calls for a " bladder window" so this portion of the exam is just one of those unpleasant but unavoidable evil. If you have never had this exam, believe me , you are so grateful to urinate. it is absurd to imagine that a patient would not pee " on purpose" which is what this idiot tech was accusing me of. For what purpose, I cannot imagine. BUT, she complained bitterly " Why you not empty your bladder", " I cannot see". I tried to explain to her that this was the purpose of having the exam, I have been having symptoms. Dear God. I tried to explain to her that the unintentional finding was NOT MY FAULT. But for 40 minutes this scolded me about " how difficult it was for her" I limped out of that house of horrors, skipping my mammogram appointment, NO THANKS, I WILL GIVE MY 400 DEDUCTIBLE TO SOMEPLACE THAT IS AQUAINTED WITH MODERN EQUIPTMENT AND COMPASSION. AN MEDICAL OFFICE THAT DOES NOT TREAT PEOPLE LIKE CATTLE. My poor knee has swollen up 3 times worse than prior to the exam and NOW must see an orthopod, as I was literally injured at this horrible, horrible place. read more
