I had to come here after an unsatisfactory experience from Excer Urgent care on Lakewood blvd. They told me they needed a "credit card" when I have full medical coverage! With all the healthcare fraud and breeches...there was so way I was going to do that. The receptionists at ContinuEM were super nice and got me checked in within 5 mins. Never did they ask me for anything financial other than my copay which was expected. Once I saw the doctor, boy was he thorough. He explained what was going on, what to expect and what I was doing that could make things worse. They gave me a steroid pill right there in the office - no need to go to the pharmacy! I brought my daughter in last night for a possible toe fracture. I came here because they were open late. They did X-rays and was told the radiologist wasn't in and they'd confirm with me today if there is a fracture. I've called twice today and still they tell me the report is not back yet. I am baffled. This is supposed to be URGENT care. The receptionist just told me that they could have it ready tomorrow. I have sons who have had fractures and the urgent care place I went to were able to tell me right then and there. I will likely take her to my usual place today and what a waste of time, money and energy spent here. read more

I received the worst service from JENNIFER PEART, NP, today, 6/2/2026. I told her my concerns, and she told me they don't handle this in their establishment. I just said, "Ok, I guess that's it". I felt helpless at this point. She then replied with, "okay"! And walked off nonchalantly. I stood there for a few seconds before realizing a nurse or aide was not coming to offer me an after visit summary, and escort me out. I then found my own way out. It made me wonder would she treat a non-minority the same way she treated me. I understand they have their own limitations, but to be treated so nonchalantly with lack of compassion is the upsetting part. Are bedside manners nonexistent now? I understand people have their off days, but this was completely unacceptable. Maybe consider another field if helping people doesn't bring you any sense of fulfillment. Suffered with a nagging cough with congestion for last 10 days. Scheduled an appointment with my PCP but it is a week away. Could sleep last night because of my cough. Visited this urgent care facility. Was seen by Dr. John. His bedside manner is awesome. He was attentive, kind and showed that he actually cared! He examine me and presented some recommendations. I I was treated at the facility. Breathing treatment, and medication. Marisa and Susy, the medical staff, very professional and helpful. Love this place. They have very polite staff that genuinely want to help and take care of your reason for coming in. I came here twice in a span of two weeks. The first time was because my son (3yo) fell and broke his arm and they were able to provide X-rays and a soft splint until we could get in to see a pediatric orthopedic. The second time was because my son and husband came down with a nasty flu and were not doing well. They were able to treat them with antivirals and gave my son a some type of pedisure for hydration since he hadn't had anything to eat or drink in almost 35 hours. But overall the best part about this is that they are open pretty late during the week (open 8a- 11pm I believe and then Sat/Sun open 10a-6pm). Front office staff and back office staff are overall great. I've been here 3 times now and each time has been a great experience considering needing to be at urgent care. My favorite part is next door they have an imaging center so you can avoid going to the ER if you need X-rays or CT or MRI scans. 10/10 will tell everyone about this place. read more

I made an appointment at ContinueEM today because I urgently needed care for an infected abscess on my leg that likely needs to be drained. Before coming in, I tried calling multiple times to confirm pricing and services, but no one answered or returned my calls. I still booked an appointment through the app and drove over 30 minutes to the clinic while in severe pain, only to be turned away at the front desk unless I paid $100 just for the consultation and $500+ for treatment because they do not take my insurance. This was never communicated to me beforehand. They could have easily called me back or contacted me after I scheduled the appointment to let me know they didn't accept my insurance and would not be able to treat me without large out-of-pocket costs. Instead, I wasted over an hour driving while literally limping and struggling to walk due to the pain, only to be denied care when I arrived. This entire experience was frustrating, stressful, and incredibly disappointing for a place advertising urgent care services. read more

I will be reaching out to the Better Business Bureau (BBB) to file a complaint because I believe this place is very misleading. CE Urgent Care asked for my insurance card but never informed me that my Anthem PPO insurance was out of network. Their website makes it seem like Anthem is accepted, which is deceiving. In addition, the owner himself stated that they accept PPO insurance. Please look at the pictures I attached, which support this claim. If I had been informed that my insurance was out of network, I would have left and sought care elsewhere. Why would I choose to pay out of pocket when I have insurance coverage? I am now being charged thousands of dollars for treatment of a respiratory infection. This is costing me more than the birth of my daughter, which is unbelievable and unacceptable. Before visiting, contact your insurance company directly to verify coverage. Otherwise, you may end up being told you're not covered and be forced to pay out of pocket. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this place. Patients deserve transparency regarding insurance coverage before receiving treatment. Be careful and do your research beforehand. read more

I wish to share a great experience I had with this Urgent Care faculty. I went in with a severe sinus infection Saturday afternoon. The wait was not long. The waiting room looked like a typical waiting room area. Once called in and taken thru the doors...this place was amazing. It looked like an emergency room at any major hospital. All the rooms had beds. They have X-rays, CT scans and MRI machines. I saw NP Courtney Rompel. She was as thorough, skilled and experienced as any Internist I have seen. She was very proactive and was able to address all my medical needs. You are a rock star NP Rompel! I was so appreciative for her concern, care and bedside manner. She even noticed I had some wax build-up in my ear. I can't remember the last time my ENT looked in my ear. My ear was subsequently flushed by the great technician on duty assisting NP Rompel. Side Bar: A few days later I was having an issue with some antibiotics I got at CVS (on the same property). The medication was cracked and disintegrating. CVS refused to exchange the medication without a new prescription. I wish I was kidding but I am not. So back I go to the urgent care and they immediately contacted CVS for replacement medication, without hesitation. I was so grateful for for the treatment I received by NP Rompel, the responsiveness for the medication re-do request, and just in totality an overall fabulous experience. Had to go to urgent care because my cat bit me on my thumb & it got infected. This urgent care was out of my network & I could have gone somewhere else, but I really liked this facility when my sister & mom had come before. It cost me $99.00, which I thought was totally reasonable, so I choose to stay. The waiting room seemed a bit crowded but I got seen within 20 min. They had me in a room gave me an IV of antibiotics & a X-ray of my hand. The Dr, nurse, X-ray tech and phlebotomist were all very friendly and very professional. I also received a prescription for more antibiotics. The room was very clean and so was the restroom & waiting room. My total time there was about +/-2.5 hours, including the time it took for the IV. Excellent experience! I needed a fairly intense level of care and tried ContinuEM instead of going to an emergency room. The wait in the lobby was 10 minutes, not hours. I needed to have a bad infection cleaned with a scalpel (with local anesthesia) and I was administered IV antibiotics. The care was efficient and compassionate. The weekend will be the busiest, so I went. Lol But that is hey I give this place 5s. The wait was still reasonable. I waited about an hour and a half before being called back, and once I was inside, I waited no more than 20 minutes. The service was fantastic. This is the first urgent care I've been to that truly went above and beyond. they didn't just write a prescription and send me on my way. They actually took the time to hear me out and offered several treatments right there in the clinic. The staff was very open to answering all of my questions and the ‍doctor didn't mind side conversations, even when they weren't directly related to my visit. The clinic itself was very clean and honestly one of the best urgent cares I've been to. I also appreciated that they didn't push any unnecessary testing. Had to come here twice due to a family members emergency. One time I came on a Wednesday night around 10 PM and stayed until closing the other time I came on a Friday night around 5 PM and stayed until 8 PM. Both times I've come there was a handful of people, but the wait moved really fast. There is plentiful parking in the parking lot and it feels like a safe plaza even at night. Late at night there is a security guard that stands outside the urgent care and sometimes inside the lobby is very clean with no clutter and plentiful seating. Thank you Dr. Brandyn MD and the nursing and office staff for such hospitable service and fantastic bedside manners. The nurse and doctor were very caring, gentle and listened to my needs. I was able to get a prescription for medication and the whole process took about one hour. My son had hurt his elbow, and fortunately, this urgent care has an x-ray machine. Overall, we were really impressed with this urgent care. The wait was so minimal for a Sunday late afternoon. We were probably in the lobby for only around 20 minutes and the staff was very attentive. It pretty much felt like an emergency room, but without any of the chaos. Urgent care facilities are a dime a dozen and the medical care industry is systemically broken, but before I take that approach let me share what a great experience I had here. 1. Wait time wasn't long since I made an appointment online & I got there early, 2. Options given by doctor to get CT scan (paid onsite, in full) or not (Appx $220) Now the rant... though my experience with medical offices, clinics, doctors, NPs, etc. might not be as extensive as some (I only go to doctor for routine exams and if I think I'm dying), I did spend about 3+ hours here. I would've been out in a quick 30 or so minutes after spending about 90 seconds with the doctor, but I opted for a scan, which is why it took longer (that's what I was told anyway). I like the idea that there are additional services and options for care. I also received scan results literally less than 30 minutes after walking out. I liked and appreciate the efficiency and the notification of upfront costs. read more

They charge me just to tell me they couldn't help me. I'm currently expecting, and after I made my payment, I went to the back only to find out from the doctor that there was absolutely nothing they could do for me since everyone had already left for the day. It would have been helpful to know this at the front desk before I paid. The receptionist informed me that while they couldn't perform an ultrasound, they could do a blood test to examine my situation. However, once I was in the back, the doctor said they couldn't do a blood test either. I ended up wasting my time; nothing was accomplished, no pressure test, nothing at all! To top it off, I received another bill for $243 yesterday. I strongly advise going to the ER instead. Even the apology I received on google felt generic and lacked genuine concern for my experience. If I could give this place a 0 stars then I would. As a nurse it is actually unbelievable and al that an urgent care doesnt carry narco or morphine. My fiance and I came in for his sciatica pain and they were pretty much useless. Please if you can avoid this place and go to another urgent care nearby before they close then do yourself a favor. Patient care/ customer service was awful! Also the doctor was quick to dismiss any kind of iv pain drip because she didn't have a nurse on staff. Honestly pathetic!!!! Come here if you want crappy mediocre service and get charged $100 before being seen. Been here 3 times now mainly because they are open later than most urgent cares, but service has been bad time and time again. This last time was the final nail in the coffin, my kid had an outbreak of hives/rash that came after she had lower leg cramps in the morning and couldn't walk well, so this added to our concern for her health. She had a fever prior to this so we were trying to figure out what is going on. They charged $100 in order to see the doctor, and the only thing the doctor did was to a visual exam and temp check, but no tests for flu, covid, or any other viral test you can do on the spot. They chalked it up to nothing serious and sent her on her way. Urgent Care Pros does all this on-site and you get results same day with much better patient care. I have ppo insurance through my work with good coverage. But apparently, doesn't matter here and they'll still charge $100 to be seen. Previously my wife came when she was sick and they wanted $350 up front to treat her. Don't waste your time or money here to get a basic evaluation, all they care about is the bottom line and not your health. read more

Unsatisfied with the care I received. I have been calling the billing department for almost 4 months now to see about reimbursement. The story changes depending on who I speak with. If my insurance determined the amount I owe for the visit and it turns out I was overcharged, I should be reimbursed. "Service fee" is ridiculous to charge patients on top of whatever their copay may be. One person tells me that my insurance dictates them to charge me $99 while another person says its a "service fee". A prior visit had the provider outside my room chatting with the other staff members about learning a tik tok dance instead of coming to see me so I could leave sooner. There was one visit where the provider and the medical assistant working with her were excellent. Otherwise I can't say that I like this place. read more

Dr Sotelo is great. The PAs during repeat visits were both pretty dismissive and weren't listening to my concerns in my opinion. Had they paid attention they might've dug a little deeper. I've been in repeatedly they brushed off my coughing up blood as bronchitis after five months. It turned out that it was something much more nefarious that should've been caught earlier. We found this location through MyChart looking for an appt through Memorial Care. They were the only ones that had an appointment within a comforting timeframe. The only way we had out front was to fill out paperwork, and once we were in the back, the nurse was super helpful and very nice. The Doc followed not too long after and the overall visit was only about an hour, mostly due to us waiting on test results. I'm glad we didn't wait all day as we would have had to do with a MC location because my kiddo has already been able to start on her antibiotics. I highly recommend this location. read more

We visited ContinuEM Urgent Care this morning with my 16-year-old son and had a really great experience. We had an 8:30 appointment and were seen promptly, and we were out in about an hour. They were very thorough and ran flu and COVID tests along with everything else needed to figure out what was going on after he'd been sick for a week. The doctor was excellent and took the time to explain things, and the staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming. I also appreciated that even though my insurance usually comes with high copays, the pricing here was very reasonable. Someone rushed me on the freeway to get there right at 1030 to be told condescendingly sorry ma'am we can't see you. I told her several times I was told 10:30 was the latest and she didn't care.
