Suffered with a nagging cough with congestion for last 10 days. Scheduled an appointment with my PCP but it is a week away. Could sleep last night because of my cough. Visited this urgent care facility. Was seen by Dr. John. His bedside manner is awesome. He was attentive, kind and showed that he actually cared! He examine me and presented some recommendations. I I was treated at the facility. Breathing treatment, and medication. Marisa and Susy, the medical staff, very professional and helpful. By the way, it was not too busy, today is Thursday and it is 10AM. Did not have to wait long. The lobby is large and the facility is clean.

After soft splint was placed on my brave little one.

Love this place. They have very polite staff that genuinely want to help and take care of your reason for coming in. I came here twice in a span of two weeks. The first time was because my son (3yo) fell and broke his arm and they were able to provide X-rays and a soft splint until we could get in to see a pediatric orthopedic. The second time was because my son and husband came down with a nasty flu and were not doing well. They were able to treat them with antivirals and gave my son a some type of pedisure for hydration since he hadn't had anything to eat or drink in almost 35 hours. But overall the best part about this is that they are open pretty late during the week (open 8a- 11pm I believe and then Sat/Sun open 10a-6pm). Front office staff and back office staff are overall great. I've been here 3 times now and each time has been a great experience considering needing to be at urgent care. My favorite part is next door they have an imaging center so you can avoid going to the ER if you need X-rays or CT or MRI scans. 10/10 will tell everyone about this place.

I will be reaching out to the Better Business Bureau (BBB) to file a complaint because I believe this place is very misleading. CE Urgent Care asked for my insurance card but never informed me that my Anthem PPO insurance was out of network. Their website makes it seem like Anthem is accepted, which is deceiving. In addition, the owner himself stated that they accept PPO insurance. Please look at the pictures I attached, which support this claim. If I had been informed that my insurance was out of network, I would have left and sought care elsewhere. Why would I choose to pay out of pocket when I have insurance coverage? I am now being charged thousands of dollars for treatment of a respiratory infection. This is costing me more than the birth of my daughter, which is unbelievable and unacceptable. Before visiting, contact your insurance company directly to verify coverage. Otherwise, you may end up being told you're not covered and be forced to pay out of pocket. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this place. Patients deserve transparency regarding insurance coverage before receiving treatment. Be careful and do your research beforehand.

Simple clean room. Enough space for a single patient with guest and doctor.

This is a stressful time for the patient and family. Anticipate friction points from the patient's viewpoint and solve them before arrival! We lack time to work with you to solve your logistical problems. Light rail may work for some outpatients. Most patients drive to your location or someone drives them. So, they need good directions. The pre-admitting interview person gave generic directions to the place and Google Maps were no help at all. Develop good directions and work with Apple, Garmin, and Google to add them. After a failed map search, by chance we called 562-933-1550 (radiology scheduling) and a very pleasant lady finally gave us correct directions: navigate to 403 E Columbia St., from Atlantic Blvd turn right onto Columbia St., drive past the lime-green Diagnostic Imaging building, turn right into side parking, and park in places labeled "for diagnostic imaging patients". Walk across the street and check in at the outpatient surgery center. Helpful! Please program the MyChart automated Epic system to send those directions. MyChart sent the address for the Long Beach Medical Center, a large complex covering several acres and with many entrances. After checking in, the experience was good. Nurses Priscilla and Delilah were very professional and helpful. The interventional radiology team was also great. I felt sorry for the tech who pushed my gurney from the pre-op area through several doors before reaching the interventional radiology room. None of the doors were set to open automatically. He used the gurney to brace the double doors open. Implement automatic doors before an accident happens. The strong, sticky tape that provides antibacterial barrier and holds patient's neck in one orientation for three days was more annoying than the procedure. Warn the patient about this. On removal, the tape ripped off about two square inches of skin. The abrasions and wounds create an entry for infection, so patient's medical team may delay the follow-on treatment until they heal. Talk to a surgeon, preferably a plastic surgeon, to identify a better tape.

In my case, it took me over 2 hours because I had two concurrent exams inside the machine, so I was charged 6 dollars, but it's a small price to pay to save a life through the MRI. The facility itself wasn't bad, only there was one receptionist who seems to be annoyed working there, questioning me if I have an appointment. I arrived on the dot. After finding me, she doesn't even apologize but hands me the clipboard to fill out the information. My appointment was at 11:15. However I was able to go into the machine at around 12:20 PM. However, you are probably wondering why then, is this review still four yelp stars. Well, I'll tell you. The machine is as comfortable as they can make it, being lit with good airflow. However, I had to be inside the machine for 2 hours. Longer than normal as I need an examination of my cervical and lumbar region. However, the MRI machine is more claustrophobic than I thought. When doing my cervical exam, the ceiling was almost right up to my face. If it weren't for good air flow, I would've probably panicked. I closed my eyes throughout. Once they sent me deeper inside the machine to get my lumbar examined, the ceiling was only a tiny bit higher which made all the difference. I got used to being in the machine. However, I would like to thank LOURDES for being my technician. She made me feel very welcomed and at ease throughout the process. She was very reassuring, and the fact that she is the first person named Lourdes that I have met. Coincidentally, I prayed to our Lady of Lourdes in France a week before asking for some Lourdes water, which cures ailments. What are the coincidences that this technician was named Lourdes? She was also a pro at putting in the bolus of contrast, as I felt 0/10 pain. I didn't even feel the needle going in. She talked to me on the microphone every step of the way before it moved, which was reassuring. She is probably the BEST technician I've ever experienced. She should definitely be recognized for her efforts. Her bedside manner alone raises this facility from one star to four stars. It is incredible. Thanks to the MRI, I was able to get a quick diagnosis within 12 hours, even though she told me 2-3 days. I am able to quickly make an appointment with a surgeon in order to get to the bottom of my ailment.
