I really enjoyed spending an evening here. We were a group of 7 and it was so fun. Our room was plenty large for us and for all the food we brought to make the evening wonderful. We ordered drinks, and while there were a lot that were unavailable, there ones that were were really good. The rooms are clean and have their own AC, but it can get hot if there are a lot of people in there singing and dancing (like we were). The hosts were very kind with excellent customer care as well. This was my 3rd time going to this location, but it is definitely my last. Granted the concept of paying for the room and the songs being free is really great- it's extremely overpriced in my opinion. I booked a Large Room for my 12 group party. Upon arriving the man (unfortunately I didn't get his name) told me that my reservation is for 3 hours and if I wanted to extend, I could just let them know. Perfect, sounds good. Emphasis on the **I** could let them know if I wanted to extend. Any karaoke place that you go to, you're losing track of time having fun with your friends. Before you know it, we had gone to the 4 hour mark without anyone coming to inform us or give us a heads up. My friends went to the front desk to close my room tab and were told that because we stayed longer than the reservation time, we would need to pay extra. My friends then questioned "but no one came by to tell us that we were at the time yet". And another guy (also didn't get his name) said- "we only come to warn you if we're busy, but if it's a slow night, it's on your own to remember". Idk that's just pretty shady and bad business in my opinion. I then we out, not knowing the conversation that occurred when I was absent, and questioned again why I was paying for 4 hours if my reservation was for 3 hours and no one came to warn us that we were already past our time. Both men just looked down at their computers and refused to speak to me- I stood there for a good minute waiting for one of them to give me some type of answer, and didn't get anything. Yes I understand we're all adults, but just the fact that the type of environment makes you lose track of time- I just feel taken advantage of and I'm sure I'm not the only one who this has happened to. I just wish they had informed us of this "rule they have based on their level of busy-ness" ahead of time. Because any other karaoke place will warn you when it's almost time to leave. Ended up paying $551 for the 4 hours of singing. Their only saving grace and why they aren't getting 1 star is that they are BYOF (bring your own food). read more

Located in the 808 Center on Rycroft and Sheridan, on the 2nd floor on the very Ewa end of the building. Parking is available if you'd like to park on the premises but not sure what the rates are, but mostly everyone else finds street parking or at Walmart. I believe this is a BYOB, but they do sell alcohol if that's easier, but weigh out your own needs of cost vs convenience. The room was well equipped and besides the benches they had stools to sit on but was a little small for our party, so people mainly sang a song and hele'd on. For 5 hrs we had about a dozen people and choke pot luck food to go around. Also, the cost was around 2 bills per hour, but to each their own on what you want. They have a large selection of songs and you are able to use Youtube searches too. They also have a Korean machine for those into Kpop or Korean songs. Light controls were straight forward and added to the moment, but the beverage service was super quick. They had QR codes youn can scan and order food and drinks to your room. The convenience is superb. They also had a camera in the room to take selfies but we didn't try and of course used our phones instead. Did you know that karaoke in Japanese means empty Orchestra? This is the literal translation and I am here for it! Wave808 is a great place and one of my favorite establishments to sing karaoke. I really enjoy being able to come to a place that is clean, fairly nicely decorated, centrally located, has ample parking, and also has a decent variety of food and drinks ( they also let you bring in your own food if you want, but not drinks since they sell those there). I like how you're able to make reservations online, with reminders sent via email and or text. This place is a little bit on the pricey side as far as private rooms go, but they have a really good song selection in addition to the other reasons why I enjoy this place and I'm willing to pay for these extras. If you want these extras, but don't really wanna pay a lot, come during their off times or happy hour times: it's a little cheaper then. The people upfront are nice and sometimes engage in friendly banter. There's a little bell in your room that enables You to call on them for beverage service, or if you need a new microphone because you killed it with your scream--I mean ethereal voice. I've only gone with a couple of friends so I only know of the smaller rooms, but they do have rooms that accommodate larger parties. This was the best karaoke experience I had in Hawaii on this last trip. The karaoke place is on the 2nd floor of a building full of restaurants on Sheridan street - not far from Walmart. Right as I came in one afternoon I was able to book a room for a few hours. They set me up pretty quickly and I was good to go. They use Healsonic so if you have the app on your phone and all your songs already chosen as favorites you can go straight to singing without searching through thick songbooks. They gave me the Healsonic wifi password to connect so I could use my phone instead of the pad they provided. You have language choices of English, Spanish, Chinese, Japanese, Filipino, French, German, Hawaiian, Hindi, Italian, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Thai, and Vietnamese. For Korean you probably need a different device - like the TJ Media one. You can also access karaoke versions of songs on youtube through the Healsonic app so that's definitely a plus. There was a button in the room that I could press if I needed anything and the folks working there were very accommodating. Will be back for sure. read more

First time checking out the karaoke place. We got a large room that could fit 15+ people. The room was pretty spacious and I liked how easy it was to order food/drinks and que the songs. We had to download the healsonic app on our phone to search through songs and it was pretty easy to navigate. (They also had an ipad to search for songs and could also stream youtube for songs they didn't have). The room rate is pretty expensive compared to other karaoke places, but w/ a big group, it's not bad if you split up. The food order initially took a while to be delivered, but after a while it was pretty quick. It's also BYOF, so you can bring your own food. There is Margaritas downstairs so you could order their Mexican food and bring it upstairs. They don't allow any outside drinks tho. (Also have to purchase water) I'd come to this place again if we have another pau hana. read more

Looks like they can accommodate small numbers (like our group of 4) or much larger groups as well. Rates will also vary from early to later in the evening. Outside drinks not allowed; bring your own food = ok. There is a QR code singers can scan to order drinks. One can choose from water, to soda, to some liquid courage/adult beverages. Service is quite prompt. The rooms have COLD A/C, fyi. READY FOR IT? Singers can choose/search for their songs/artists via a tablet. Searches can be conducted by either artist or song title. If searching by artist, all songs available for that artist/group will populate the search field. Controls for skipping songs, stopping songs, and viewing the queue can all be done via the tablet. CRUEL SUMMER So far, we've been to Wave808 Karaoke twice. Our first visit was last month and we discovered that parking is a bit of a challenge. Options are either in the lot or street. This business is located on the second floor of the complex; its literally on the opposite end of the Chengdu restaurant. We visited for the second time in AUGUST During our second visit earlier this month, it was quite crowded. We appreciated the patient of the staff at the front desk checking us in and accommodating our last minute res (we modified our arrival time). SHAKE IT OFF I'd totally recommend this place. We had a fun time for our daughter's birthday party. I would come here again, it was my second time. The check in experience was less than we good. We were able to set up the room prior to starting our session which was great. About 5-10 minutes before we were scheduled to start, we went and asked to pay. The "not fun ever man" as we referred to him told us that we put our credit card down when were we starting our time. We were starting in 5 minutes. We left and said ok. My husband started towards the bathroom about 2 minutes later and the "not fun ever man" kind of made a scene that we needed to come and pay, that our time was about to start. Well ok. So we did, but how did 2 minutes make the difference? When he came in the room to explain how it worked, he spoke so fast and mumbled I didn't understand everything. I had been before so I didn't worry about it, but even the teenagers had to come out and ask how to increase the volume. We cleaned up and left on time. I felt so odd about the check in experience I made sure to take a video of the room before leaving. I felt like I could be charged a cleaning fee out of nowhere even though we completely cleaned it up. read more

The servers are nice, and at the end, they let you split the bill however you want. They allow food in, which is really nice. Overall, I like it here. This place is the nicest and cleanest Karaoke "bar" that I've ever been to and the price reflects that. Friday night at 10pm it was $50 per hour for the room. Songs are included with the reservation, so you can sing as many as your heart desires BUT if you come with a larger group it is worth it. You can also connect to YouTube and find more songs which is very nice! I wasn't super impressed with the sound system but if you're drunk enough i guess it doesn't matter. The drinks are definitely over priced and they discourage bringing your own drinks. You are allowed to bring your own food because all they have is popcorn and chips. I've been here twice now with small groups of friends and really felt strongly about writing a positive review for Wave808. The two groups I went with were mostly first-timers who had never been to the private room style of karaoke, and they were absolutely smitten by the whole experience, with both groups electing to stay for extra time. The room we most recently booked also had a camera situated high up that could take a pic of the whole group and send the pics to an email address, which was a nice touch I haven't seen anywhere else. We've only been here on what one would consider "off times" (like a Sunday afternoon) so no problems whatsoever making reservations on their excellent website or extending times, and the service has been fantastic. The rooms are clean and well-appointed with decent equipment, and food and drink orders arrive super fast. Honestly, the food menu isn't great and is almost definitely comprised of reheated frozen foods, but they allow you to bring your own food which is fantastic since there are a few good restaurants in the same mall. Just remember that you cannot bring your own drinks. Really great fun- look forward to visiting again! read more
