Got to my apartment, and it had never been cleaned. My windows do not lock properly, had to run my water for 2 days non stop, no screens or blinds on any window. My door has a huge gap in it, so the cockroaches that are in every apartment come through my door. Any maintenance request you put in, they put a bandaid on it and don't fix it properly. But then they will bill you because the problem isn't there. My newest neighbor just moved in with her kids... and her unit is already flooding from an existing problem they knew about from the previous tenants leaving the place. Now there is mold in the walls, and all of us are dealing with the headache... even though JWB gutted the apartment 2 months ago for flooding damage.

As I read these reviews I chuckle a little bit because it's very clear that a lot of people don't understand the rental process. The reviews are nothing short of hilarious. We are moving to Jacksonville from Chicago. Everything has been set up and is working properly i.e. the smart home app, etc. Debbie was very clear with me about how the process worked and I've had no problems getting in touch with people directly. We'll see what happens when we actually get inside the house in a few weeks, but so far everything has been done the way leasing companies do things.

The outside water supply needed to be repaired. After, when I brought this up to the manager, she told me that access to the washer and dryer was not guaranteed under the lease. Previous maintenance requests were delayed by stupid requirements for pictures and sometimes even videos of items to be repaired. Teh tub faucet fell off the shower wall. Why does this require a picture? And anyway, they do none of their own maintenance. It's all outsourced to local contractors anyway. And after giving them the evidence they request, they ghost you regarding updates. They lied and told me the property I was renting was sold to Elevate, but they own elevate. This is likely an attempt to hide from their extremely toxic JWB brand. Now, it's been 5 weeks since I moved out and they still aren't responding to messages about returning my deposit. I've received no notices, so it appears I'll have to sue them.
