We initially thought we were getting a nice house but instead we got a house that was full of dead bugs, dirty and had grass as tall as my kids. Unfortunately we couldn't inspect the house due to being out of state so it was a huge disappointment and super frustrating to get the keys and walk in to see dead bugs everywhere. You would think considering our circumstances they would make sure our place would be ready to move in. That's not the case, we had to cancel our pack out delivery because they are calling pest guy to not take care of the bugs but just inspect what they are. They're calling cleaners to "bring by magic erasers" to clean the dirt and scuffs. It looks like no one cleaned at all honestly, the previous tenants place mat, Broom, plunger, white board with a to do list still written was all left behind. Their response to all the dirt and scum was it's normal wear and tear. Gee I didn't know dirt marks, scuff marks and dust was normal wear and tear. Whats more disappointing is the fact they said this will all be taken care of in the next week when we had put the deposit on this house down weeks ago to hold it and yet they can't even have it ready for us. Lastly, With my husband being military and dates are never set in stone, we had to change the move in date by 3 days instead of prorating our rent to the day we got the keys they kept it as the initial date we gave. I get it, if you can't change it due to "professional" reasons as they called it but at least give us the courtesy and warn us and let us know everything that's going on because a lot of vital information was left out and now we have to pay for 3 days we weren't even in the house and wait longer to move in because of the house needing cleaning.
The cleaning company that's under contact said the last time they cleaned was June 25th and even that was a shitty job and the carpets were not professionally cleaned it looks like someone just vacuumed.
Try to call and get ahold of someone to talk to, don't expect calls back. All we keep getting is the property manager is in meeting or busy doing showings of houses. Seems all they care about it getting their commission on houses, once you sign papers they stop returning calls or caring, if they even cared at that read more
