My advise to anyone who crosses paths with Sunrise Investments (the Mikie and Dan rip you off show) run, don't walk the other way, at least you'll control your own destiny. Our inspector found some serious issues with the home that we brought to their attention. When Tandy finally responds to my agent (which was like pulling teeth most times), She informed us that those issues are under warranty and the builder is scheduled to come back and fix it prior to closing. OK sounds great so we put it in contract and ignored any other fixes because that was the most important. Then At the walk-through when we were already on our way driving here from across the Country these issues still were not fixed. My agent tried to contact Tandy about this multiple times with no luck which was not uncommon throughout this entire process. It wasn't until a month after closing we finally found out through the sellers that it was not under warranty and being fixed it is in the middle of a lawsuit! Failure to disclose and breach of contract! The attorneys were not even told that the sellers were selling the house! It took us a few months to change the lawsuit into our name and now we're still in the litigation process. It's looking like after all this fight we may be left with either just enough to fix it and not a penny more or we will be paying out of pocket to finally get this fixed and by that time it'll probably be a year or more after closing. I contacted her boss at exit real estate gallery I explained this whole situation and gave proof to back everything up. He said he would do his research it would take a couple weeks and he would get back to me. Haven't heard from the guy so assuming nothing was done.
