Ok that may sound strange but I also go to mai Thai in Smithfield and it's decent but everything is always coated in a thick sauce and you don't really feel like you're eating individual ingredients. Here you definitely do. Everything looks and tastes like it was made in a home kitchen. Mostly because it is. The owners are husband and wife and absolutely adorable. The food is so fresh and cooked with love. I hate that expression but it's so appropriate for here. I will say there are a couple misses on the menu, particularly the Pad Thai. It's not particular good at all. Most everything else is delicious. My favorites are drunken noodle, mama noodle, coconut shrimp and veggie pineapple fried rice. The rice is a little bland but actually is really nice with the other strong flavors. Their chicken fingers are not at all what you would expect. They are basically chicken tenders you'd get off a kids menu but you know what? They're really good! This is the best home style thai food I've had in Rhode Island and the owners are so appreciative of your business you can't help but come back time and time again. Definitely recommend!

Our first time ordering I inquired about the dumplings as I have a picky eater in my house. I wasn't sure if he would approve so I didn't order, but the owner threw an order in anyway for us to try. My son was over the moon and they've been a staple in our order ever since. Now onto the food... The chicken satay is always juicy, fresh, and well cut. The peanut sauce is equally as delicious and flavorful. My husband and I love the panang curry! It's consistently full of fresh cooked vegetables and chicken is well portioned. The curry is seasoned well and honestly one of the best I've had the pleasure to try. The restaurant itself is clean with ample parking outside. Inside is also quite clean, organized and an easy pick up process. There's a young lady working there now who is new but she fits in well with the wonderful owners. This place came up on our search and we decided to give it a go. Now, the place is called Mai Thai Cuisine, so you know we had to get Mai Thais. Super good! And they definitely didn't skimp on the alcohol; they use the appropriate amount IMO. I ended up getting their pad Thai and it was probably the best I've ever had. Hubby got the Bangkok chicken and absolutely loved it. Another thing I loved about this place is you really get to customize how much spice you want. The menu says you can order it on a scale of 1 to 3, but the waiter said that they use a scale of 1 to 10. I really like spice, so for me a 10 is perfect. But be warned, everyone says my spice is broken, so if you don't have a super strong tolerance to spice, 10 might be too much for you. Hubby has a pretty decent tolerance and believed his number to be a 6. Place was clean and atmosphere was pleasant with ornate elephant decorations all around. Staff was super friendly and service was very quick. Prices are reasonable. Hubby and I will 100% be back, no doubt. Can't wait to try more on the menu as everything looks delicious.
