I ate at the Waterloo Club about a month and a half ago and I must say it was a fantastic meal. I was dining with friends and had never heard of this place until they suggested it. Of course being overly-analytical, I had to Google it to see what they had to offer and then came to Yelp to figure out what was popular. I ended up going with the Waterloo Special (chicken & ribs) with the pesto and WOW it was delicious! The ribs were some of the best I have ever eaten and the chicken was equally scrumptious. The meat was incredibly tender for both the ribs & chicken and the flavor was extremely good. The pesto pasta was also good, but I have to be honest and say that I barely ate it because I was in a partial meat-induced food coma at that point. I do remember it being tasty, though! Stopped by for dinner last night and it was great!! A little bit of a wait but the staff was nice and were seating as quickly as they could. We were able to sit inside which was nice. They have the QR code menu available at the table. Ordered rib tips as an appetizer, bowl of clam chowder, salad, and a steak and shared everything with my hubby. Everything was delicious!! I ordered the Waterloo Special, which comes with ribs, chicken and choice of soup/salad (I got salad with homemade ranch dressing), along with a side dish (I got the famous pesto pasta). The BBQ sauce glaze was sweet and tangy, so tasty we bought a bottle to go home with. My gf ordered the calamari dinner (available only on Friday's), and it was spectacular! Melt in your mouth fresh! We ordered the shrimp to start with, which was served shell on, which helps preserve the freshness, so it taste better when you eat it. It was so fresh and tasty that we forgot to complain about peeling it. I ordered the ribs. I thought it was a half rack, but I think it was a full. They were pork short ribs, but they were meaty and there were a ton of them. I could hardly walk after finishing my meal. i can't remember the side I ordered with the meal, but does it matter. It was a year ago and the ribs still stick in my mind. We lucked out that we arrived when we did, because when we left there was a line out the door with a two hour wait. This was my first time visiting this establishment and it did not disappoint! We arrived around 2pm on a Sunday and the place was full but waited only 5 minutes. The staff was super welcoming and friendly. We started with the Salad and it was great with your choice of ranch or Italian dressing. After hearing great things about this restaurant my family and I decided to give it a try. To give the long and short of it; we were very impressed. I order the salmon with the fresh pasta and homemade pesto and it was excellent! The salmon was fresh and cooked to perfection. The fish was seasoned just right and was paired with a delicious white wine sauce. The sauce complimented the salmon without overwhelming the fresh flavor. Most meals are served with a homemade soup or house salad. I chose the salad with the Italian dressing and I was extremely happy with my choice. It is the perfect simple salad mix with iceberg, cabbage and carrot base accompanied by croutons, garbanzo and kidney beans on top. The meals are also served with delicious sliced bread and butter. The salmon and pesto dinner cost $30. (I do have to say for the price this is the biggest piece of salmon I have ever received at a restaurant.) The service was great! Everyone was friendly and super attentive! They constantly checked in with us and were on top of the refills. I couldn't have been happier with the service! Overall I highly recommend this restaurant! The atmosphere is nothing fancy but it is fun and inviting! The food and service were excellent! I believe one of the main reasons why I walked away from this dining experience with such high remarks is due to the fact that you can tell they actually try and take pride in their work. The iced tea was fresh and the garlic bread came warm and perfectly seasoned. I and many friends have enjoyed meals here over the years and have never had a negative experience in any way. Do not take your little kids here. There is only two options for "kid's meals." One option is ribs, the other is a grilled chicken wing...not toddler friendly at all. We got there around 6:40 for dinner with a party of 6 and had to wait about an hour before we got seated. Make sure to make reservations, especially for big parties! They have a nice little patio area out in the back where guests can sit while they wait which was pretty nice. When we finally got seated we ordered right away and surprisingly got our soups, salads, and bread fairly quickly. Each dinner portion comes with a soup or a salad, as well as a pesto pasta or baked potato. Make sure to go on Friday to get the option of Clam Chowder it is pretty good! The salad was not bad, a very good sized portion. I ordered the Waterloo Special which came with ribs and chicken. I also chose pesto pasta as my side. Honestly the pesto pasta was the best part of the meal so delicious! The ribs were good, they fell off the bone, but I feel that I have had better ribs somewhere else for much cheaper. Also, the chicken was okay, just any normal barbecued chicken. I got lucky since I got the wing so I got dark meat so my chicken was pretty juicy. My friend got the breast so it was pretty tough and chewy to eat so it was not that good. Once or twice my steak was pretty charred on the outside, but the inside is always cooked just right (medium rare for me). The pesto is absolutely he best I've had.
