We hired Peer Plumbing for a complicated plumbing issue in our home we purchased last year. When we…read moremet with the owner, he was super professional and knowledgeable, and I still stand by that. He suggested some easier and inexpensive fixes for some venting issues in our home. The work was done quickly and without issue. They also replaced a corroded Y joint in our main plumbing stack. It was done quickly, efficiently, and inexpensively. No issues there. Where things went sideways was when we had an issue with our main drain line. We had sewage backing up in our basement and lots of sewer gas, which was concerning. Other plumbers who weren't the owner were sent to our house and snaked the line. They had to come back 4 times because they didnt scope the line first as they should have to identify the true issue. Each time they came back, they also made a huge mess, tracking the sewage through my house. If I only had to deal with this one time because they fixed it the first time, it probably wouldn't have been as annoying, but this combined that they repeatedly had to come back because they didn't take the time to properly identify the issue FIRST and then do what they needed to was upsetting. Furthermore, Amy, the person who handles the phones is extremely unprofessional and really doesnt understand the concept of being in a customer service position. She was audibly annoyed with me when we were waiting to pay our invoice until the issue was fully resolved. She is blunt, rude, and just not what I would expect from a company that is so highly rated. You may be able to have a very good experience with this company, but the inconsistency in service is an issue that the owner should look into to improve his company. I would also make sure you push for more communication about what is being tested and the scope of work completed as they were lacking in this regard as well.

My hot water tank wasn't working and I was really hoping it was just that the pilot light was out. Justin was able to light the pilot right away and stayed around for a bit to make sure it stayed lit. I was so grateful that I didn't have to add the expense of a new hot water tank to the very expensive clean up after the flooded basement.

I had called several companies before Sullivan's and they were busy due to recent flooding in the area. Ken was nice, understanding and was able to squeeze us into his already overflowing schedule. Within days his crew came to clean all the wet items out of her basement, sanitize and then set up the dehumidifiers and fans. I cannot say enough about how this put my mind at ease. That never happened. They insisted my ductwork was too small and came and put bigger ductwork in. It did not solve the problem as the temperature went up outside. The temperature went up in the house. The air-conditioning was running all day long never shut off. After seven years, the air-conditioning blew the oil i'll cover which I was told by a reputable company because it was too small. That's why that happened. I fought with them. They refused to put a bigger one in. I would never hire them ever again. They do what they wanna do and want you to pay for it. Air conditioner lasted 7 years and I had a 5-year warranty and I paid good money for it and I received junk. They need to listen to the customer and give the customer what they're paying for and what they want and stop arguing with the customer

Of course, we considered some different options, but thankfully, we didn't look any further and decided to stick with Horbett's. After the first experience our feedback was very positive, so why not? The day we called, the person handling our case put us on a waiting list. It sounded serious, but she called us back the next day, and within 30 minutes, a repairman was at our door to take care of the problem. They do a great job with scheduling, so the technicians don't waste their time. The repairman explained everything thoroughly that he was doing, including showing test results etc. during the whole process. Definitely, it was an honest and professional approach to customers. He really checked everything to be sure what the exact issue is with the air conditioning unit. After about an hour, he left. Our house started to feel like a happy place again.
