The outside is deceiving as we passed by many times. We thought it was a surf shop but when we went in. We were totally surprised. It was a restaurant/cafe and a large area portion of the store was apparels. A great selection of surf shirts, shorts, hats, etc. We liked a couple of Crop Tshirts and was pleased to see they were on sale. They also offer a Military Discount with an ID. We didn't get to see the entire store but heard there's an indoor skate area too. We have plans to go back and have lunch on another day. See you there! read more

Went into this place thinking it was just a skate-shop but found out it was a really good restaurant! I had a omelette and it was great. The food came out quick and while I waited I explored the skate shop that had some cool shirts and a skatepark in the building. If you're a skater or know someone who likes skateboarding it could be a cool place to go (if you don't have a skateboard you can rent one there). I liked the atmosphere and the food. Wait staff was good too, but I disagree with allowing dogs inside a restaurant. I have dogs, but I leave them at home unless there is an outside area. Waterboyz is an awesome place with a little something for everyone. The indoor skate park rocks, and you can't rent everything if you don't have a board and/or gear. They also set up individual lessons, and for his birthday, we got our son an hour-long lesson with Nick--Nick was so patient with the birthday boy, and helped him learn to drop in the ramp in like 30 minutes! Great experience with buying a longboard! We drove to several 'skate' shops across Gulf Shores all the way to Pensacola. The staff at the other shops were not helpful and really rude. When we walked into Waterboys, we knew quickly that we were in the right spot. JR was knowledgeable, enthusiastic and patient to help us understand what we needed. Would go back 100%. Can't say enough what a great experience we had here! Can't speak to the food as we didn't eat there- but the shop and skate park were amazing!!! I've always enjoyed the food. This place has my favorite wrap and I can only get it from here. Love the environment and that it is pet friendly! However--the wait has always been absolutely awful. Honestly don't know if it's worth it anymore. Please hire more staff. It should not take almost an hour for one wrap to be made. UPDATE: Asked the young man at the counter about my order number and my menu item (it had been 45 minutes since I ordered). He said "they were working on it." 5-10 minutes goes by, the cashier tells us she's going to check on our food because she noticed "we've been there a while." I went in for a new surfboard and wetsuit yesterday, and I am extremely satisfied. I haven't bought a surfboard or wetsuit in 20 years, and I felt like that day was the day. The guy with the beard and glasses helped me out and was a surf expert. I was a little nervous about getting a 6'1 shortboard because I'm a bigger dude and wasn't sure it would float me. The employee told me it would, and he was right. Best day of surf I've had in a long time and the wetsuit was super warm and comfortable. Totally happy with my purchases. Dude even stuck the track pad on for me. Awesome service, great products. This place is the best. read more

Not a single employee wearing a mask, despite working with and handling food. No signage to encourage customers to spread out. No changes made to dine in seating or capacity. Their food is delicious but I will not be going back until they start taking safety seriously. Staff here was super nice and offering. There is a large selection if you are looking for a new board or even a whole new setup. I haven't personally skated the park, but it has a nice range of obstacles from mini ramps to a big bowl. It does cost money to skate, but I'm sure it is worth it. read more

My new favorite place to hang out in the downtown(ish) area of Pensacola. Waterboyz always offered up great shopping (skater / surf / derby clothes, shoes, socks, decks boards, stickers, etc.), NOW you can hang out in the cafe (indoor or out) and have some great food / coffee. If you like, you can eat (or just hang-out) upstairs at a table or on comfy couches and watch the skateboarders on the indoor track. A meal and a show. Good stuff. read more

I am very disappointed in the customer service that I have received from the staff at this particular business. My 13 year old son and I made 2 separate trips (which was quite a distance for us to travel) to this store for him to make a decision about which longboard he wanted to help purchase for a birthday present . What he decided on needed to be ordered because Waterboyz did not have it at that time in the store. This was fine, so we spent time that day giving all of the merchandise order information, as well as my personal contact name and numbers for when it arrived in the store. The employee typed everything into the computer while we watched. We were told that it might be a couple of weeks before it arrived, so we were patient in waiting for a phone call from Waterboyz. However, after 2 weeks, when I had not heard anything about our order, I called and spoke to someone who apparently was looking at a computer whenever they were on the phone with me because he was able to tell me about what I had ordered. The conversation was friendly on both sides. I was disppointed, but certainly not upset to hear that the board was not in yet. I was told that since this order had to come from Canada that sometimes it takes longer. I understood and only asked the employee to confirm again for me the specific order that was placed and I also made sure he had all contact numbers to call me. He assured me that Waterboyz would definitely call as soon as it arrived. I thanked him and hung up. After 2 MORE WEEKS HAD PASSED (and my son asking in disppointment at how long this was taking) I telephoned this establishment AGAIN. The person that I spoke to this time (which may or may not have been the person that I had spoken with 2 weeks prior, or the person who had originally taken all of the information and placed our order into the computer at the end of June) at first seemed a little distracted whenever I gave him my name and told him "my story". I had to wonder if he was looking at the computer, realizing that he would have to tell me that this board that I had ordered from them one month ago STILL had not arrived. He used a pleasant tone, but put me on hold twice that I know of. At the end of our conversation, basically I was told that apparently the order NEVER went through and from what I gathered him telling me, it didn't sound like it was EVER ordered or possibly they just didn't pay attention to it NEVER ARRIVING. There was also some mention about whenever I called 2 weeks ago, the person I spoke with didn't push the order through again since it never arrived after the first time but he wasn't able to say why this would have happened. I just was floored that this was actually what I was being told! I kept telling him that I had been patient and understanding with our order taking time (He said that he understood.) but that I truly could not believe this! He stated that he couldn't offer an explanation but would place the order (AGAIN???) directly and it would take a week to week and a half. It was suggested that I have my son take a look at the Landyachtz website to make sure they knew exactly which board to order. He gave me his email address and I said that we would do this right away and would he please reply to my email as confirmation. He said that he would. Well....... we did look, made sure of the board, sent email, asked for reply, ... and now it's been 24 hours and I have checked my email inbox several times with absolutely no reply whatsoever from this person/business! What to tell my 13 year old now? It's already been over a month since his birthday. I TRULY JUST CANNOT BELIEVE THIS CUSTOMER SERVICE! I never expected any of this! read more
