I do not like this place. The owners treat everyone like thieves. They often follow you around and look at everything you are doing. It feels intrusive. This is a vacation type store. But while in there they act as though everyone that comes in is a 2 year old that plans to break things. I've been in there twice. Once last year and this was how they treated us then. And then again this year...same treatment. I, in no way, believe we were targeted. I just believe they treat everyone like this. I'd rather go else where. read more

If you enjoy your every move being watched and monitored this is definitely the place for you. The aura is distrustful and paranoid with multiple signs to remind you of such. Even though the clerk at the counter will say hi and ask you how you are doing, she is silently judging your physical appearance and your actions. The workers here are PRONE to racially profile customers!!! Although the merchandise is very cute, it is cheap and lousily glued back together with hot glue. read more

One of the best souvenir shops in Navarre as far as Huge selection of many things you do not even see at any other stores! Beyond reasonable prices! We barely made it in the front door and the lady at the register quickly told me that my excited children had to stay together and not touch anything or be near other customers "because of the pandemic." I told her she shouldn't single out children, that adults can be carriers too. Also if you are so concerned, you could make hand sanitizer available at the door (although we use our own often) or have some soap and water available at the door like many of the local restaurants. I'm a RN and this could've went way differently, as I appreciate all Covid precautions. Needless to say, we turned to leave as quick as we walked in and won't support rude business owners that discriminate against children. Us adults don't care about buying sea shell souvenirs. We were given this place as a suggestion from a local burger joint for a souvenir shop and we didn't regret it. We were automatically greeted with smiles. The store has SO MUCH! They had some good prices and we even bought some shells that were outside by the sign. It is an older shop so there is a little bit of a smell but it didn't bother us. The hermit crabs SMELL but I've never seen hermit crabs that didn't smell a little funky. read more

Dont do many reviews longer than one sentence but this place was awesome. I was looking for florida-ish gifts for the ohio family for Christmas. They really wanted shells last time they were here but we didnt get around to it. On my way to marry Esther we stopped by shell city just to try and find some shell tree ornaments. The shop was clean organized and looked awesome i took my little girl in and she loved it. the wind chimes have to be the first thing you see they all look amazing! The prices hands down were amazing. i expected the wind chimes to be 30 for the medium one and they were only 10 dollars each! And so many choices i had to get 3 of them, some were very natural and some very novelty over all amazing gifts. Best prices i have seen on the beach, no tourist trap here and the worker was great. she was showing my girl some of the things while i shopped. Great experience in Navarre if your buying for someone out of town or are here to vist skip the large sun station shops and come here they are amazing! read more

There are a lot of things in this store related to seashells, wind chimes, and various dust collectors. I am not sure how they stay in business considering how they are so paranoid that somebody might look at something wrong, touch something, break something, etc. There are signs everywhere displaying their paranoia, such as "You break it, you bought it!" and the like. There is also a sign mentioning they will call the police at the first hint of stealing something. I totally get that, since I would not want people to steal from me, but to make it extremely clear that anybody walking into the store is immediately suspect for theft is completely wrong. With that much stuff in the store, something is bound to be accidentally broken or misplaced. So I would exercise extreme caution if you decide to go into this store. I would also leave any children in the car since kids love to pick up and handle things. That is their nature. They learn by seeing, feeling, and doing. You can't blame the kids for being curious. To sum it all up, if they are so paranoid that something might get broken or whatever, why not force potential customers to make reservations, allow only one customer at a time in the store, and follow them around watching every move they make? I have been to a few other stores here and there like this and have decided never to return due to being treated like a criminal. When customers are treated respectfully and valued, they will return. When customers are treated with suspicion, they cease to become customers! read more

We stopped here on our way home from a week long vacation in Pensacola beach. This place has fantastic shells for sell and for cheap! They also have other novelty souvenir items such as photo frames and wind chimes. I ended up buying a huge conch shell, a few sand dollars and a bag of mixed shells. I thought it was a good find at first but after buys a few items and getting to the car realizing that what I bought shouldn't have added up to what the charged me. I went back in and ask for a reciept the lady who was working which I believe she said she was the owner fumbled around for about 5 minutes tryin to find my reciept. Which I kinda thought was odd cause I was the first customer of the day so was literally unlocking the door when I approached it. When she realized that I wasn't gonna leave she eventually finds my reciept. And she had over charged me 65 dollars. She had charged me for 8 addional shells that I didn't buy. I had mentioned that I was on my way the the airport when I walked in the door and I feel like she took advantage of that and purposely over charged me. I could tell she was up to no good when she imminently started fumbling around acting like she couldn't find receipt. Cool store and cool stuff. Walking into this place we were overwhelmed with the scent of cat urine and feces. Probably would have stayed longer to check out what the store had to offer, but honestly we turned around almost as soon as we walked in because the scent was so pungent. read more

On our first day we did some shopping we stop by Sea Shell City. They didn't even knowledge us when we walked in yet we still looked around and shopped. The last day we came back to buy a few more things. One when we pulled up they had a truck blocking cars from pulling out so we didn't want to get stuck so we parked behind the truck enough for all parties to pull back or drive in front. The women helping unload the truck went into yelling saying we couldn't park there due to houses being behind the store keep in mind we left more then enough room for all parties. When we went on to telling the women that we couldn't park in the parking spots because of the truck being in the way she said "not my problem". I just tried to go shopping here with my dad, and immediately I was targeted by a worker to put on shorts because I was only wearing bikini bottoms (along with a long t-shirt) I should've known better, because the amount of signs outside of this store is crazy. "No food No drink Shirts required Shoes required No pictures inside Under 24 hour surveillance" All of these requirements and warnings make the building not very welcoming overall. Anyway, after I was rudely confronted (I'm only 16, by the way) my dad stood up for me and we left. The woman who confronted me was rude and I do not recommend anyone giving them your money. My mom first took me here when I was like 5 years old. We lived down the highway and it was my favorite place as a kid. We would take all our family and friends there when they would visit from up north. Now I have several nieces and a nephew and we are taking them today. I used to stop by this shop when I lived near, now I live in Texas and redecorating living room for coastal look. When I was planning my FL vacation this shop was on my list to stop and buy shells. Best selection of sea shells I can find. The lady in the shop was helpful when I could not find what I was looking for, and wrapped my shells very carefully so that I did not have to worry about traveling with them. As to other posts about their signs, if you go in a place and respect their products then you don't have to worry about signs. read more
