So here's the situation: I recently rented into a new apartment, and only after actually moving in, did I realize that the water pressure was absolutely pathetic. Not just a little bit weak, but so impotent, that I think that our water pressure must have been the inspiration for the creation of Viagra. After exploring my options, and measuring the flow from the shower (a measly 1.7 gallons per minute), I decided to try finding a shower head that would make the best use of what little pressure I had. After a long and exhaustive search, I came upon Water Managment (website is www.takeashower.com). I ended up talking with Bill Taylor (sp?), and he confirmed that their shower heads would not perform miracles (i.e. actually increase the water pressure), but would certainly maximize their efficiency. I decided to give it a try (full money-back guarantee? why not?) and was absolutely dumbfounded by the difference. I actually immediately hopped out of the shower, dried off, and logged onto Yelp so I could write this review, because I was so pleased. Let me start off by saying that this company produces excellent shower heads.. Last year, we lived in a third floor walk-up with terrible water pressure.. it was basically just a trickle coming out. We ordered the "Fire Hydrant Spa" shower head and it WAS as good as they advertise! I ordered another one this year: the "Symphony". Hopefully it will be as great. I would definitely recommend them for their quality shower heads. However..the reason I give 2 stars is due to poor customer service. I had ordered a shower head and I paid for "rush" delivery of 3-4 days. I waited 9 days, and no shower head. I had also heard nothing from the company, so I started to get concerned. I called them, and it was an answering machine, so I left a message. I also tried emailing, but no reply. I called them again on Saturday, and I think it was the owner who answered. He was very abrupt and rude to me, and said "check your spam folder!! Other people keep calling and complaining,and we emailed them back, but it's in spam!" He didn't even apologize for the fact that I had waited over a week for the shower head.. Luckily, they're refunding the extra money I paid for rush delivery. Although they sell an excellent product, this company needs to work on customer service, and basic politeness. read more

My wife and I moved in to a new apartment in July of 2013 and we had very poor water pressure in our guest bathroom shower. I did a little bit of research and came across Water Management's website. I decided to give the Fire Hydrant Spa Shower Head a shot and I was pleasantly surprised with the results. The pressure in our master bathroom was good but the water pressure with the new shower head blew it away. I just ordered another of the Fire Hydrant shower heads for our master bathroom as well because my wife and I loved it so much. My mom came out to visit in October and loved it too. We ordered another of the shower heads for the guest bath in her house (that hadn't been used in several years due to poor water pressure) just before Christmas. I have to take a moment and tell you how fantastic Water Management (www.takeashower.com) is. I purchased a Spa Handheld shower head over 5 years ago. I wanted a handheld shower head and hose that were made of metal so that I wouldn't have to wrestle a plastic hose every day. I found takeashower.com online and they seemed to offer exactly what I was hunting. I was a little hesitant at the price, but thought it was worth a chance... BOY WAS I RIGHT! I love love love my shower head! It creates the most soothing, consistent flow of water for us. It makes our weak water pressure a thing of the past! Excellent showerhead! I ordered one about three years ago and loved it so much that we replaced our $600+ 'grohe' with this handheld showerhead. I ordered one for the guest bathroom as well. Now, we have moved cross country and the place we live is in the city and a very old house where the pressure is not bad but could be a lot better. Guess what? I'm getting ready to order one for each of the bathrooms here. You will be amazed by the difference. The only minus to this product is that is not metal and comes only in a Chrome finish. read more

This was a disappointing purchase. I replaced a $20 shower head from Home Depot, hoping for an increase in pressure. The $20 head worked far better. Don't believe the marketing. The product is cheap plastic and does not improve pressure in any way. read more

Absolutely Amazing Product We need some more reviews about this company. I searched the web for info on shower heads for low water pressure I stumbled upon Water Management. Like the other poster my shower flow was more like a spritz bottle- actually 1.6gal/min was printed on the shower head!! It took twice as long to shower because you could never rinse the soap and shampoo off- not too effective for water conservation IMHO I made a quick call to Water Management after checking out their website. This is a place that still believes in answering the phone and providing excellent customer service. I ordered over the phone on a Saturday afternoon and the shower head arrived Monday in the Mail with FREE SHIPPING (did you hear that amazon). I am a girl with no "tools" so had to go out and buy a wrench/pliers to get the old one off but tonight I have my new shower head and the difference is night and day. I keep turning it on/off because I can't believe it. btw- its a brushed nickel finish with adjustable spray that looks great in my shower. Great company/ Great Product/Great Service read more

I live on the 5th Floor of an 100 year old building. The water pressure is almost non existent. No matter how long I spent in the shower, I could never get the conditioner out of my hair. I purchased a shower head from this company only to read horrible reviews right after making the purchase. My research was a little late, but I called and canceled the order within minutes of the purchase. A man answered the phone and had no issue canceling the order for me. I though great, that was pleasant. A week later still no refund. So I called again and spoke with the same man, he said he figured out what happened and fixed it. Said I should receive refund in a couple days. Couple days pass and BOOM, shower head shows up at my front door with no refund. I hope this "man" reads this review and realizes that I understand what he did. He let me hear what I wanted seeing how he already got my money, now hopes I just give up trying. Which I am, I don't have the time or want to follow up on crap like this. Ill take the loss and hope that somebody reads this review preferably before purchasing so they don't make the same mistake I did. I live on a hill around a lake. I have had terrible water pressure. My neighbor below me down the hill had a plumber and the city come in and put new pipes and a pump in. That gave me literally no pressure in my shower ... None! I found this company online and I bought the fire hydrant shower head. I am not kidding, I cannot believe the pressure in this shower head. I ordered a showerhead on the 18th of September, and never heard anything. I have called and emailed, and cant seem to get a response. Its a shame because by all accounts the product is excellent. However, if you look at the BBB website, it appears these folks just cant get it together to run a business. My only recourse was to dispute the charge with the credit card company. read more

I was one of those people who moved into a place that had low water pressure in the shower. I did some extensive research online to see how I could improve my shower experience. Some places suggested removing the water restrictor inside the shower head, others claimed their shower head increased water pressure, but really they just squeezed the water out of smaller openings making it seem like there was more pressure. Then I finally came upon this company and their website www.takeashower.com. There is actually a YouTube video probably still out there where a guy demonstrates the performance of various shower heads including the one from this company called the Fire Hydrant Spa, and it's pretty accurate. I know because I bought one of their shower heads and it worked as advertised, and did an amazing job of increasing the water pressure substantially. It was like a night and day difference with the new shower head. I don't know how anyone can claim that this company makes a bad shower head that does not increase the pressure because that certainly was not the case for me. The regular shower head will run you around $50 and it goes up from there depending on the model. This is not that expensive when you consider a fancy shower head will cost the same amount but not improve your water pressure. I bought the Fire Hydrant Spa Deluxe Hand Held Shower, and I have been loving it ever since I installed it. About the only not so good thing is that it has different settings you can adjust to for the spay pattern, but it's not like a regular massaging shower head. Most of the adjustments are not much different from one another like on a regular massaging shower, until you get to the hard stream. They call it "invigorating" spray but in my experience it can be a little hard to handle and even a bit ouchy because the water pressure is so strong. But hay, that's what I wanted so good job. read more

I tried to cancel an order (within less than an hour after placing it) but received it anyway. So I returned it....that was over 3 weeks ago and I still have not received my money back despite multiple e-mails and phone messages to this company (they don't bother to answer their phone). I own 3 of these and have give some away as gifts. After going through multiple shower heads over the years, I decided to try this one. It worked as advertised. I have had the clips bread which hold up the hand-helds and they replaced them after the warranty time. I've owned these for over 5 years. read more
