I've tried several dry cleaners in the area, but this is the one that stood out for their level of customer care/dependability. Michael truly goes above and beyond with customer service. Recently, I had been traveling back-to-back for a few weeks. Admittedly, I lost all sense of time and waited until the last minute to pick up my dress for an event later in the afternoon. Unfortunately, I arrived at the storefront outside of business hours. I called Michael, and he patiently explained that the pandemic affected his business's ability to operate both his storefront and delivery service at full capacity, so there were no local employees available to assist. After hearing how urgently I needed my dress, he pulled all the strings he could and managed to get a personal connection to drive to the storefront within 10 minutes so that I could get my dress. Michael saved the day and did it with such courtesy and professionalism. I rarely write reviews but was so impressed by the level of care Michael puts into nurturing each customer relationship that I felt I had to share my experience. Quick but a couple of my pieces suffered Pros: I did have a rather large order that I brought in, and everything was finished extremely quickly. Even though it was done around the holidays. Cons: Multiple articles of clothing were returned with large gauge safety pins pinning the garments to the coat hanger which is fine for some clothinf buut left noticeable holes in other pieces. One piece has blue stains (not sure what from) that I noticed only when i left the house wearing it a few weeks later. My bad for not inspecting right away and addressing but still. read more

I was looking for a reliable place to have an expensive suit cleaned so I went with the highest Yelp ratings and ended up at Axess Cleaners. They were friendly and the customer service was great, until I went to go pick it up. The suit had changed considerably in appearance with the sleeves puckered up and wrinkled. When I checked the inside lining, I noticed stretch marks that looked like scratches. Considering it was a high end suit that I had only worn twice, I was extremely surprised at the damage. I immediately called the manager who is only on site from after 3pm. He instructed me to bring the suit back and that he would run it through another dry cleaning cycle, and that hopefully the appearance of the suit would improve. I reluctantly agreed since he insisted on doing that before taking responsibility for the damages. It took them a week to dry clean it again and when it was done, the manager called me to say he would be on vacation for the next four days so I waited until he came back to go meet with him and inspect the suit. He told me it looked a lot better and there was only the "minor" issue with the inside lining. Of course I could only go between 3pm and 7pm since those were his hours everyday. When I went to go pick up the suit, I found that this time they had bleached the inside lining and there was a spot the size of a baseball in the dark brown lining that was light yellow, and some splotches around it. When I asked about it, the manager indicated that their solution may have "reacted" with a lipstick stain that was not even in the same area. I found that hard to believe since it didn't happen the first time they cleaned it, and there was no discoloration near the stain itself. The manager insisted that since they absolutely did not mishandle the item, it must be a manufacturer defect. I brought it to the manufacturer's boutique to have them take a look at it and even drove it over to their repair facility. Both places indicated it had been damaged by something other than any dry cleaning chemicals and that in their experience only bleach could have created that kind of a discoloration. When I called Axcess back to tell them my findings, the manager indicated that there was some kind of "California law" that prevented him from paying for the suit. He said the most they could do was refund the cost of the cleaning ($14), and maybe offer some store credit. Why would I go back to a place that ruined an expensive suit and refused to pay for at least part of the price I paid at the end of last year? When I indicated that this was unacceptable, he warned me that I would most likely lose in small claims court, even though I never brought that up as an option. It seems like its just something standard he tells all customers that are unhappy with damage that he is unwilling to pay for. Axess may have a lot of good reviews on yelp from items which they don't damage, but if your item does get damaged, they will not take any responsibility. If you have any items of any significant value, I would avoid Axess at all costs. You may have a few great experiences, but if something nice gets damaged, just be aware that you will be on your own as Axess absolutely will not pay for anything they damage. read more

I've been patronizing this business for 14 years. They have never lost,damaged or shrunk any garments I've left. The employees know the difference of stains and how to treat them. They have an awesome off-site seamstress who has has mended small rips to completely resizing tops and replacing zippers . Prices are comparable to other area cleaners and turn-around is two days. Recently I took a vintage miu miu handbag in to be cleaned and it came out great. It was an item that would of been completed ruined or unable to clean because it was white leather . Lesson learned... always look through the items after picking them up from the dry cleaners. Not too long ago, I dropped off a dress shirt, and it came back destroyed. Simple dry cleaning and a stain to try to remove, nothing more. They told me to come back in a week to pick up my item, and when I came back a week later, it wasn't ready. Unfortunately, when I finally picked up my dress shirt, I didn't check it for quality. Today, I'm packing for a trip, and I took out my dress shirt for the first time since the dry cleaners. I found the right sleeve ripped. Further, the stain on the left sleeve is still there. Ignoring the stain, my shirt is completely ruined. See pictures of purple striped dress shirt. I live in the nearby apartment for almost three years and use AXESS Cleaners for three years. I love their service that they will pick up at your apartment and deliver back. The sweet part is that they give you a hanger and a bag with your name tag so that it's very easy to hang my clothes on the door for pick up. Having been a customer for over 6 months now, I have tried their service enough to say that they're reliable, professional and on time when it comes to providing all that they offer. I brought my wedding gown here for cleaning as I had plans to sell it. When I dropped it off at the store, the lady at the front desk took my order and left it for Michael to look at and get back to me with pricing. I think he's the one that handles unique items as such. Meanwhile, I also had a chance to do some price shopping elsewhere and waited for Michael, who got back to me the next day with full detail. He's very polite, professional and explains everything in great detail. There was a stain on the gown that I was mostly concerned with and he also went through in detail and explaining what could be the outcome. After all, the dress was a expensive one so I had to make sure it gets the best care. Eventually, with the information presented, he moved onto their preservation process. They have a cool flyer there that explains the preservation in detail as well and so he showcased and even showed me a sample. The difference between preservation and cleaning to me wasn't significant enough plus I preferred optimal care for the gown so I chose to Preserve the gown instead. I had done my research and called up few spots before Axess and all except one was priced higher. But, I choose Axess mainly due to the information I was presented and overall customer service. I've gotten the gown back, the stain that I was most concerned about it now gone and it's nicely packaged in a beautiful box. I'm almost hesitant to sell the gown now, but Im sure the new owners will love it. This Yelp review is long overdue and specifically about wedding dress preservation. My wife and I recently got married and decided to have her wedding dress cleaned and preserved. Of course, due to the sentimental value of the dress and the expense of preservation, we took great care in selecting a dry cleaner. Frankly, one of the previous Yelp reviews made us very wary about using Axess for wedding dress preservation. However, Axess is convenient to us for other dry cleaning and so we decided to ask about their process after picking up other clothes (which came back in excellent condition). When we first asked about the process at Axess, Michael, the manager, was not there, but one of his staff was completely knowledgeable and gave us all the information we needed to think it over. Michael then called us personally that same day to follow up and to explain what makes Axess wedding dress preservation unique. Not only does Axess professionally clean the dress but they also have an outside party, Memories Gown Preservation, check and certify the cleaning (with a 30 year warranty) before the dress is sealed in the display box. We would not have gone with Axess if not for the manager, Michael, and his extreme care and sincerity. After talking with him in person, we knew we could trust him with the process. When we decided to go with Axess, Michael gave us a clear timeline (four weeks) and called to let us know the dress was finished (just under four weeks). He went out of his way to ensure that the process went smoothly. When I wasn't able to pick up the dress the first week, he called again to make sure I received his first message. Michael personally handles every step of the wedding dress preservation process and his staff was always was well-informed if we had any questions. We have attached a few pictures to give you an idea of Michael's work. The dress is placed in acid free tissue paper and beautifully displayed. Maybe they're great for regular dry cleaning but I would NOT bring anything important here. Bought my wedding dress to be cleaned so I can sell it. The bottom of the dress had some slight dirt but mostly its inside had sweat stain from the one night of dancing and celebration . XD 1) I dropped off the dress and they couldn't give me quote, I had to leave the dress there first and get a quote two days later. That was annoying, kinds of forces your hand to going ahead with them vs hassle of coming back to pick it up. 2) when it as done (which I actually don't know when) cause no one called me or informed me. I called in a week and half later, and they're like . oh yeah it's done. 3) It was NOT clean. The stains were still there, the dirt and twigs on the dress still there. When I asked, the lady said no it's too delicate to clean. I paid the 180 bucks and took it home. When I got home, I was so angry cause I took a damp cloth and wiped the dress hem and it was good as new...it just needed a damp cloth. The stains, I looked up online, used baking soda and water, and now it's 80% gone. I can't believe I spent money at this place and they didn't do anything. Also, how do I know for a fact they didn't try? My dress has a bustle, when I dropped it off, the bustle was unhooked except for one panel still hooked on. When it came back, it was still the same, meaning they didn't bother to unhook the bustle or didn't even care to notice to steam/clean it. The kicker.... the dress smells now. Not like it went through a dry cleaner or chemical smell. It smells like it sat in some Indian person's house for a week. A strong curry spice smell. I'm asian and eat a lot of curry, so I know this smell very well. Great for dinner, not so great on wedding dress. Please please don't bring your wedding dress here. If you're thinking the Yelp deals are great, that's how I got in but now I feel like this place is total toxic dump in my life. Free pick-ups and drop-offs mean nothing when your items don't come back clean! I dropped off TWO comforters for seasonal cleaning when a man who worked there in October told me that I had $62 in my VIP plan after getting a shirt cleaned. I told him it was way too far for me to travel to Mountain View for drycleaning and wanted to use up my credit. He recommended seasonal comforter drycleaning, and I agreed. Michael, the owner or manager (another worker told me he was a manager but here, it says he's the owner), picked it up from my house. The WHITE comforters that I got back were FLAT for some odd reason AND BEIGE (brownish tint). My comforters looked like they've been dipped in coffee and stained uniformly. Now I've gotten my comforters drycleaned MANY times at different drycleaners. They've ALWAYS come back WHITE and smelling great. Other clothes that I've drycleaned with Axess have come back meh in comparison to other places, but since the prices were good I kept using their service over the years. However, this is the first time, something came back really noticeably not clean and unsatisfactory where Michael denies to this day that he's personally inspected and they're perfectly clean. When I saw my delivered comforters, I contacted Michael immediately and asked for refund or re-do. With some argument from his end, he's agreed to re-do it because I've asked him make this right. He picked up my worse comforter, re-did the drycleaning, and it came back STILL BEIGE/BROWN and FLAT. I'm not exaggerating. In fact, I took the comforters back to the store and complained to the worker there. She, herself, was amazed that it was so beige. Yes, I had second opinion. She couldn't give me the refund herself. So she had me deal with Michael again. At this point, I was wondering what happened to my comforters. So now I'm left with two dirty looking comforters, and Michael somehow wants me to be happy with them being clean because he says so. I weren't satisfied with the service even with the re-do, so I asked for a refund of the amount that I've had on my VIP plan so that I can get them legitimately cleaned. He refused saying that I went negative from the first clean AND he had the audacity to charge me for the re-do. So because I'm SO negative in my account, I should be happy that he's not trying to collect from me. 1. If I knew he'd be charging me for re-do, I would've sent my comforters to a better cleaner. 2. I simply wanted what I've already paid into the plan, because I don't want to come back. 3. Because of reason #2, your coupon offer of $30 doesn't entice me. Sorry. I came in as a customer, but I'm leaving as a dissatisfied customer who's out $62 and feeling quite bitter with my experience with Michael. I gave him PLENTY of chances to make amends and just give me back the money. But somehow, once the money goes into the VIP plan, it's no longer mine and he doesn't care to refund anything back. I find this to be fraudulent, because he has your money as hostage. Like what another reviewer said, seriously don't do business here unless you want MAJOR HARASSMENT. I've used their fluff-and-fold service for several years, which is just your standard laundry service with no dry cleaning or anything. Initially I did it during a renovation because our washer and dryer were so inaccessible that it was a great alternative. I have nothing but tremendous praise for the service. They use eco-friendly detergent with low fragrance and the pickup bags are reusable and sturdy. The turnaround is 2-3 days (free pickup and delivery) and they do an amazing job. Everything is clean and folded and organized so well that it only takes me 10 minutes to unpack and hang or put things into dressers. Our renovation is over but I'm hooked on the service. For one person with just clothing (no sheets, towels, or bedding) I'd estimate $20-$25 a week, more in the winter. They have a minimum charge so be sure you wait long enough to meet the minimum so you don't overpay. We had only very tiny issues over the years. A couple of damaged items but nothing that couldn't happen in a regular washer over time. Once they didn't wash something covered in cat hair but that was a good move on their part but keep that it mind. Every once in awhile I've gotten a stray item but I've just dropped it off downtown. Overall I've been very, very happy and it has far exceeded my expectations. read more

I asked her if she can just give me a call once it's ready and she said just come back in a week. It's been over a week today is Thursday I went there and they didn't have it ready. I left the store and some guy called me telling me it would take another week. Definitely would not recommend this place because the service is mediocre and the prices are expensive. Update: Don't believe this guy they reached out to me and I responded to them. They tried to make me change my update but giving me a smaller discount than what the Yelp check in discount was. He did not offer to try and resolve my problem to give me the service at cost. Don't believe his lies. There was a lot you could have done to rectify the situation. Instead of bombarding me with phone calls at work begging me to change my review. Never once did you ask about my availability and you wanted me to come back at 9 PM to pick up my pants. I don't live in Mountain View I just work there. If you had better customer service and actually tried to help me or ask about my situation then I would have gladly changed my review. I recently lost a bit of weight and had to take in all of my suits for major alterations. They did an amazing job on a vest I needed for my wedding. They are willing to work with you and did a great job meeting my expedited request. For my suits, they measured me and made the alterations, but I ended up wanting them to be more fitted.
