I really really wanted to Iove this place since I live down the street. The pick up/drop off service was exactly what my household needed. They laundered a cashmere sweater and ruined it. Cashmere! I also had another new cardigan returned to me with all the buttons loose and literally hanging by threads. They hang delicate sweaters on wire hangers vs. folding them over hangers. Management is defensive and working with them to fix issues is really challenging and left me feeling like it was somehow my fault that they laundered cashmere. They also mangled an expensive,brand new, suit that my husband brought to them. We actually gave the place another shot after the suit and then cashmere sweater gate happened and we decided to drive a bit further for way better service. read more

Good customer service and cleaning, but very expensive. This is a good place to go if you desperately need an item dry cleaned and have returned in a couple days. They don't dry clean on-site so, I don't think it's possible to have your item(s) returned on the same day. I don't think I will be coming back unless I have a coupon/groupon/yelp deal. read more

This dry clean laundry is so bad, they made my new cashmere sweater became a old sweater when I got my sweater I realized there are lots of small holes get from their machine wash. Walked in to inquire about wedding dress cleaning and spoke with the manager.. My goal was to ask him about what their cleaning process is, and if they use the same solution as all their regular items. What I got was an immediate quote of $200 for cleaning vs $300 for cleaning and preservation (never bothering to looking at my gown, which I carried in with me) and why cleaning and preservation is superior. Then he proceeded to ask for my number to enter into their system- I am not an established customer and I still had questions, so I refused to give him my number since I didn't feel my questions were addressed satisfactorily. He then became impatient and repeatedly asked me what my concerns were- seemingly exasperated with my questions which I had to ask several different ways to get a straight answer. Not sure how this establishment rates so high but their customer service leaves much to be desired! I felt rushed and didn't feel like the manager listened to my questions- he just wanted to make the sale. Unfortunately by doing so he just lost my business forever. read more

I had a very bad experience at Axess Cleaners and will never go back. I was really hoping that Axess would be able to clean and press my clothes well but unfortunately they cannot. I took several pairs of pants to them and asked that they press them along the original seams. However, when I got them back, the new seams were not in the same location as the original seams and it looks very sloppy. I asked them to re-do the pressing but when I picked them up the second time, nothing had changed. Also, they changed the texture of another pair of pants due to the way they pressed them. When I brought them back, Michael said the change in texture is due to "natural wear and tear". I tried to explain that these are fairly new pants and that I have had them dry cleaned properly before. He refused to listen to me and just made more excuses which made me even more upset. I was very frustrated that he refused to take responsibility for the poorly pressed pants. At least, he gave me back the credit I had left. If you have fairly basic clothes, then this will probably be an okay place. If you have delicate clothes that need special care, I would not bring them here. read more

I've been using Axess for over 2 years, and they have consistently delivered me back my clothes on time, clean with stains removed, and nicely pressed/ironed. I had one instance where my clothes were accidentally delivered to a neighboring office on the same floor of my building. My husband goes through one dress shirt a day. All the ironing was killing us both but, being the stingy person I am, I rejected the idea of paying for cleaners to do the job... until my job, three kids, a dog, a huge pile of wrinkly shirts and a great deal from Axcess convinced me to try them out. I set up a platinum account with them and immediately felt a weight lifted from my shoulders. Not only do they launder and iron the piles of shirts my husband goes through, they also pick up and deliver with a phone call or text message. The turn around time is great and they give me back many hours of my life that would otherwise be spent ironing. The cherry on top of all this is the service. I had dropped off a big bag full of shirts on Saturday and assumed they would be back by Wednesday without taking the Memorial Day holiday into account. Of course, I said nothing about needing them by Wednesday when I dropped the shirts off so this was all my bad. Fast forward to Wednesday: I texted to ask if the shirts would be delivered since my husband is taking an early flight to Chicago in the morning. Michael immediately answered and said he would work on finding out the status. They weren't ready for delivery but, long story short, they would be willing to make a special trip to get the shirts and extended their opening hours so that I could pick them up. I can not praise them highly enough. They went above and beyond any obligation to me and I am only too glad to be able to recommend them on Yelp. I am not going to use them again. I have had some issues with them not getting things clean (e.g., they failed to remove a small ink stain on a blouse even though I pointed it out to them at drop-off, and another cleaner subsequently successfully removed it). But my main concern is an issue I encountered when I attempted to drop off a few white button-down shirts for laundering. These were women's shirts in that they had the buttons on the left side, but otherwise as plain as a man's. No darts, no ruffles, no other detail. When I dropped them off, the woman at the counter quoted me $2.70 per shirt. But before I had even made it back to my car, she called to say that the price would be higher because they were women's shirts, which she hadn't noticed at first (not surprisingly -- like I said, they looked just like a man's). I asked her why this was, and she said she didn't know, it was just their policy. She got the manager, Michael on the phone. He told me it was because women's shirts were too small for their pressing machine and therefore had to be hand-pressed. That's not true; these shirts were no smaller than a men's size small. When I pointed that out, he changed the story, saying that women's blouses have more detail and thus require hand-pressing. But mine didn't have any such detail. I don't have a problem with charging more for detailed work when it is needed. I do have a problem with charging more for women's garments just because they are women's. I realize most cleaners do this, but that doesn't make it right. On top of that, they couldn't just come clean about what they're doing; they made up specious excuses for this discrimination. Reviewing dry cleaners is always difficult. I have been through many services. People are very opinionated about these services and most dry cleaners are pretty bad. How can this company have so many 5 star and 1 star reviews put together? I've learned to temper my expectations of dry cleaners but Axess is pretty solid. I have used them for the last 3 years. First in Mountain View when they were close by. Note: I have always been a VIP customer so I get then 20% or 25% discount on all orders. I get free pickup and delivery. I have never been to the store. All of my customer service is via text or phone call with Michael. I just text pickup. It is slightly annoying to not have the itemized receipt with the cleaning, but I text for receipt after I receive my order and get a text right back. Axess actually convinced us to stay with them when we moved to Redwood City. Still free pickup and delivery (Mondays and Thursdays) so I notice no change. The prices are much better than those offered by my buildings "preferred" dry cleaner company. My clothes seem clean and wrinkle free. I think we've had one or two damaged shirts over 3 years. Maybe a button or two lost. No disasters. Nothing lost. Granted my stuff is straightforward. I can't speak to gowns or heavy stains and other problematic cleaning. Recently I got an order which seemed on the high side of my usual price. Turns out they dry cleaned all 7 of my shirts when laundry/press would be fine for about 5 of the shirts (I almost exclusively do laundry/press for work dress shirts). I think a few true dry clean for my shirts was reasonable, but somebody just decided to dry clean all. Michael was responsive to my POV and offered a $25 credit for those shirts. So all in all, I'm happy with Axess. Way more pros than cons and the minor issues are probably the same at any dry cleaner anywhere. read more

Axess picks up and delivers to my work. My fiance's work uses Purple Tie, Axess' prices were cheaper so we went with Axess. I sent them two white dress shirts and a tuxedo pants and jacket. One of the white shirts was so yellow from age and just sitting in the closet in a plastic wrap I didn't think there was much they would be able to do with it. The yellow shirt came back sparkling, brand-new white. I didn't even think that was possible. We were going to donate that shirt but now that it looks new we'll get a few more uses! Thanks to yeleep, about 3 months ago I found Axess Cleaners dry cleaning operation, and slowly transition from my old cleaner (kind of far). When i compared with my previous cleaner I have to say I clearly see the different. From customer service,to overall quality and great pricing, they really kept up with the competition in the area.For one I LOVE their GREEN Cleaning method, most cleaners I' ve been to, use Perc (chemical) in their dry cleaning machine, these guys are green eco-friendly . They recycle all my hangers, which helps me with my recycling as well as the planet . But , what's really special about this place is their costumer service and the quality you" ll receive as a result of it. Michael (I believe the manager/supervisor) is caring, very polite and always goes beyond what I" ve ask of him. If I have had any special order/request he made sure to meet the deadline and even beat it by a day or two if he could. on the second month of using these guys I decided to join their discount program. It' s free to join and comes with tons of discounts (made sense), but also comes with complementary pick up and drop off service that comes to my home and at times my husband's workplace (LOVE IT) If you are doing $25+ of dry cleaning and laundry service a month you may want to consider their program to save a bunch and get other added benefits. Last week, I had a very expensive nightgown that urgently needed for a weekend event, about 5 days prior to the event I had called Axess (Michael) to see if they could alter and clean the dress and have it ready for Saturday . Since I could no make it to the store that day and was worried about no having it on time, Michael decided to send his delivery guy to our house to get the dress and to speed things up. I did the basic measurement as to how much I wanted it tighter. Let's just say I have the dress altered and cleaned, and got it back (DELIVERED) to my husband' s work place in 3 days (Friday). Much faster than I thought it would take, plus it gave me more time to worry about others errands. Surely, I will be using Axess Cleaners for many years to come! I wasn't impressed by the cleaning. The shirts I got back had all kinds of creases in them, looked like a very rushed job. One shirt I brought in had painted buttons and when I received the shirt I noticed the paint was overheated and bubbled up. I returned the shirt and Michael half blamed me for asking for a dry clean then promised to replace the buttons. After not hearing from him for a while, I called a month later asking where the shirt is and he said since it's been passed 2 weeks the shirt would be gone but would look into it. WTF service is that? As I expected he never called back. On the same order, I received pants back with the zipper stuck. I took it back and he said there's no way their cleaning would have done it and it must be my fault. Completely insulting me. I brought in the pants and picked them up again where they were magically fixed, and according to Michael, never broken. I don't know why the owner gives off so much attitude and can never take any criticism, that really turned me off. I don't think he's passionate about the clothing business and should try something else. I left my balance there and am happy at a cleaner I can trust. read more

I would be very careful with bringing any delicate clothes here. I bought my custom made polyester jacket here and I didn't check it until I had to wear it again. When I did, I was really surprised to find that the fabric was fading and strands of fabric were coming out. I bought their VIP plan and I think I'll just use it for non delicate things. read more

Last Friday (11/22/2013) was my first time going to a dry cleaner. I learned the hard way that you don't bring in a 2 piece suit that you need cleaned by the next day. The customer service was so amazing that despite my lack of knowledge, they made some calls and I told them I needed it by 4:30 the next afternoon. Not only did they tell me that it could be done, but they did not charge me extra for it! They got it done just in time for my event and needless to say, I looked amazing.
