A friend of mine recently visited Wasabiko - and expressed to me that they enjoyed the food. So when I found out they have Poke bowls on the menu - I had to come in for some Poke! Most of the Poke joints I've visited - are like a cafeteria style line where you select all of the ingredients - and they assemble a custom bowl - just for you. Wasabiko ain't that. They have several Poke bowls on the menu to choose from. I opted for the Combo Poke Bowl - which includes tuna, salmon, and some fried tempura - and a variety of veggies. I asked them to hold the rice - so just do greens. And a bottle of water. I ate in. The Poke bowl was enjoyable - but I miss the option to specify what ingredient - and how much goes into the bowl. The place is rather small on the inside - there are 6 tables as I recall - and a small side bar along the front wall for single diners. The inside was a tad overly warm, bordering on uncomfortable during my visit. Don't know if that is the norm for them or not. Paid with Apple Pay at the register. There is also some sort of kiosk on the side wall for ordering - not sure why it is there since there is a register. Service was good. #Wasabiko

Wasabiko, located at Manassas Crossroads Shopping Center, is a casual spot for sushi and poke bowls, with a clean, cozy setting. Two walls are lined with large windows that let in sunlight. Their menu is varied, featuring fresh ingredients and generous portions at reasonable prices. We sampled four owner-recommended dishes, all freshly made with high-quality ingredients, which tasted great and left us feeling satisfied. During our visit, we had a chance to speak with the owners and appreciated their warm, friendly demeanor. Highly recommended dishes: 1. Pan-fried Gyoza: perfectly balanced flavors from the filling, light and tasty, making a great appetizer. 2. Combo Poke: made with fresh tuna, salmon, spicy tuna, spicy crab, masago, shrimp tempura, and various vegetables for crunch and nutrients, including avocado, romaine, edamame, seaweed salad, and mango, over sushi rice. The portion was generous, and all the ingredients harmonized well with the sweet, mildly spicy sauce. A plentiful mix of ingredients creates a perfect poke bowl. 3. Bulgogi Yaki Soba: made with Korean sweet soy-marinated beef slices, mushrooms, scallions, bok choy, and onions, stir-fried with thick udon noodles. The sauce was fantastic, and the textures and flavors were great--tasty and filling. 4. Sushi Mix: a colorful sushi roll with salmon and tuna. It's unbelievable to find such fresh, high-quality sashimi used for these rolls at this price range!

Virginia Shrimp Roll, they didn't torch the shrimp, they torched the crunch topping, tasted burnt and not in a good way.

Tried the sushi for the first time. Was very disappointed. There is no real texture to everything, no flavor, everything was kinda mushy. Seafood didn't seem fresh. There was a lot of bitter taste. May be in part to the type of soy sauce as well as the spicy tuna. Igive their poke a try in the future, but will not be getting anymore sushi. Felt like a hug waste of money.

We ordered from Wasabiko for our Thanksgiving dinner and honestly, everything blew us away. We've had their sushi platters, udon, poke, and dumplings -- every single dish has been super fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. You can tell they really care about quality here. And the staff? Seriously some of the nicest people -- always welcoming and on point with service. So glad we found this spot. If you're in the area, this place is a must. 10/10 would recommend!

For being in manassas, this poke was surprisingly delicious. My friend said she travels from Sterling for the poke so I knew I had to try I stopped in on my way home from an appointment and I didn't know they also had sushi rolls. However, I came her for the poke bowl, so that's what I got. The tuna was fresh, and while I wish there was more of it, they do give you Kani and seaweed salad with no extra charge. If you're not a fan of sauces, I would ask for it on the side as they do really sauce it up. From ordering to walking out the door it was probably 5min.

Small platter with salmon, tuna, wasbiko , California, and one other that I forgot the name to, and eel.

I held this place off during my pregnancy, wanted to try it so badly so when i had my baby it was first on my list to get. I picked up the small platter, California rolls, and a rainbow roll, and that was enough to feed 3 hungry people. The salmon and tuna looked fresh, i didn't get a stomach ache either. Some of the special rolls they had were decent, nothing stood out for me. The eel that came with the small platter was delish. Definitely will have to come back and try their poke bowls and other dishes they offer. Parking is a mess in that plaza. Come during lunch hours and you'll definitely get frustrated.

Come back again for more, wasabiko become our little sushi place for fast lunch. The place is really clean and the employee/owners are super nice and friendly. The music choice of the day is Jazz .The sushi are always delicious and addictive. My daughter ordered the salmon poke bowl and she love it. Generous serving with salmon and mango. They are busy with delivery order as well. Looking forward for next visit.

One of the best poke places in the area!! It was 35$ for two combo bowls and was delicious!!!! Poke is always a bit more of an expensive bowl option but when I'm in the mood for poke i'm definitely coming here!!

Pork cutlet bowl - overcooked and dry
    Latissa R.

Highly priced items for subpar food. My pork cutlet was over cooked and dry. The bulgogi was pale in color and full of big thick pieces, tough, salty and had an over-floured gritty taste. The spicy pork sauce was overly thick and salty. The sushi roll was blah. Shrimp was dry and tough-ish. We wanted to like this place, but it was ugh from the first bite.

    Combo Poke!!!

Food is always delicious! Service is always fast and the environment is cozy for a quick meal! Love it here!

After checking in, we were quickly guided upstairs to a cozy, rounded booth--an intimate and perfect spot for two. Our server, Katie, was fantastic--attentive, knowledgeable, and refreshingly honest when helping us choose between dishes. We started with the deviled eggs and fried green tomatoes, paired with the Black Sheep Mule and a watermelon cocktail (wish I remembered the name!). For our mains, we ordered the short rib rigatoni and the steak bulgogi bowl. To finish, we shared the weekly dessert special: an Earl Grey tres leches. Everything was exactly what I hoped for and more. The starters were standout, the entrees were packed with flavor, and the overall aesthetic of the space was just beautiful. We'll definitely be back--next time for brunch!

It was also my first time at The Black Sheep but I had always heard wonderful things - all of which turned out to be true. The loft area is beautiful and overlooks the entire restaurant. Also when you reserve the loft, which holds up to 16 people, you order off the regular menu. I loved this as other places I checked into were much more restrictive with a higher minimum spend and fixed menus for groups larger than 8. We had 12 in our group. We started with a bunch of appetizers for the table and cocktails. Appetizers included the bacon tower, fried green tomatoes, hushpuppies, crispy chicken wings, and Mediterranean garlic shrimp. Dinner entreés were jambalaya pasta, the American wagyu burger, pulled short rib rigatoni and branzino almondine. There were zero complaints. We enjoyed EVERYTHING!! The bourbon butter cake with vanilla ice cream for dessert literally took me over the top. My belly was ready to burst :) Our waiter was attentive throughout the entire time and everything we ordered came out perfect. I must go back soon. It is a distance from where I live but there's so many things on the fabulous menu I want to try.

It was my first time visiting, as well as my significant other's. When we arrived, the host was polite and we were seated with our party of about 8 people. However, things started off awkwardly when my significant other's mom wanted to sit on the opposite side of the table to spread out more comfortably. She was told she could not sit there and had to stay in the seat closest to us. At first, I assumed it was because another group was joining us since there were 3 extra chairs left open, but that wasn't the case. The restaurant was empty aside from one other table that had arrived before us, so the situation felt unnecessary and frustrating. Unfortunately, the food experience was disappointing as well. As soon as the chef placed the shrimp, lobster, and chicken on the grill at the same time, I had a feeling the seafood would end up overcooked -- and it did. The lobster and scallops had noticeable burn marks, the shrimp was overcooked, and the steaks were not cooked correctly either. Two people ordered medium steak, but both were cooked at the same time, and one was left on the grill longer than the other, causing inconsistency. Another issue I had was that the chef automatically drenched the seafood in teriyaki sauce without asking first. Personally, I don't enjoy teriyaki sauce, and I think he should have asked us if we wanted sauce on our seafood before pouring it on. When the chef asked how everything tasted, my significant other was honest and said the food was okay but overcooked and burnt in some areas. Our bill ended up being around $400, and because we were unhappy with both the food and service, my boyfriend left a 10% tip and even explained respectfully why he felt the experience did not justify more. To end on a positive note, the baked sushi roll I ordered was actually delicious. However, the drinks were subpar and overall the food did not meet expectations. Unfortunately, this is not somewhere I would return to.
