Warsaw is a concert / music venue located in the Greenpoint section of Brooklyn. It is accessible via public transportation that includes the G Train to Nassau and about a 5 min. walk. It was easy to order concert tickets online & then one is sent the digital ticket so that it can be scanned upon entry. Musician Extraordinaire Venna performed at Warsaw in Jan. 2026. All the stars in this review goes to Venna's fantastic performance! Warsaw is spacious enough w/ General Admission being Standing Only. VIP Ticket Holders go upstairs where there is a small balcony section w/ limited seating. I give Warsaw around 3 stars. 1.) The Venna Concert was in January 2026 & of course, it was freezing that evening-lol. They asked for everyone to show their ID outside on line in the cold, to prove you are age 21+ then get a wristband to drink alcoholic beverages. It was so cold that I forfeited this...Warsaw should have a better policy regarding this, especially as it was cold outside & they probably lost profit as others were also too cold to pull out their ID'S. They could have asked everyone to show ID once you initially step inside of the venue, then give you a wristband. 2.) The bathroom was FREEZING! Why is there no heat in the bathroom?! Boy, it was so uncomfortable that the bathroom was used in record time-lol. Only cold water came out of the sink faucet. I am going to assume that the bathroom must be sweltering during the summer months making it unbearably hot & still used in record time-lol. Warsaw, please consider doing something to get heat in the winter & AC in the summer. 3. Keeping a coat on ended up being the right decision as they were charging a fee for the Coat Check & the venue ended up being chilly. Once Venna was done w/ his performance, he signed autographs & people purchased Venna merch. It was a delight to hear various Venna hits Live. Will I return to Warsaw? Well, it depends on who is performing & if I feel its worth enduring Warsaw's cold or heat (depending on when the concert is scheduled) venue issues. This is a historic venue recently acquired by Live Nation, and they've done a great job upgrading the drink menu and VIP experience while still keeping the classic food downstairs. A lot of intimate shows come through here--Sam Smith even did a month-long residency and the sound was amazing. Only downside is the downstairs gets super packed and the restrooms are kind of a hassle to get to, so VIP is worth it for the upstairs bar and bathroom access. read more

I have seen a few metal concerts here and love this intimate venue to take in a show. From Testament to Tom Morello. It's actually the Polish National Home, and along with a fully stocked bar you can nosh on pierogis, kielbasa, and other Polish eats to fill up before rocking out. It's an all-purpose venue with a capacity of about 1000. Pretty decent sound and sightlines from most anywhere you stand. Yes, it's pretty much standing room only so you will be on your feet. Heck, who sits anyway at a metal concert? Easy to get to by subway and a short walk to the venue. Efficient staff and security/check in lines move quickly. Coat check also available. read more

I attended a concert here tonight (9/17/25). I felt this was a decent venue. There's the stage area and then there's the area where merch booths are and the food area. For food there's pirogies and kielbasa. I really enjoyed the pirogies. I would have preferred them to be panfried, but I completely understand boiling them is quicker. The taste was great. The bathrooms were also clean...at least towards the beginning of the concert. What happened in-between, during and after, I cannot comment on. Overall I did enjoy this venue. I've been to many concerts throughout my years and I've never been to a venue with pirogies! Definitely sets them apart! I'd say the stage area is a decent size too. There's also a balcony area. At the concert tonight, only VIP ticket holders were able to go up there..I'm not sure if it's always like that. I would return for another concert here. Music feeds the soul! read more

Friends and I recently saw Sam Smith at this cozy venue, and I loved how small and intimate it felt. Sam was literally just a few feet away from us, which made the experience so special. We didn't get a chance to explore the entire venue since we didn't arrive as early as I would've liked, but I did notice they have a bar and a coat check. Overall, such a great space -- I really wish more of my favorite artists would start playing shows at smaller venues like this. read more

We saw Sam Smith here, and they were great, but the venue was not well organized. I think the show was oversold, we arrived early but were pretty much in the way back - right next to the bar. People who arrived after us were in the vestibule! There's also poor signage to find drinks and merch. Not the performer's fault, but the venue should've been at a lower capacity. read more

Warsaw is such a charming surprise it feels like someone lovingly converted an old restaurant/ballroom into a cozy little concert haven. Getting in was a breeze with zero lines for the entrance, bar, or restrooms (a rare miracle worth celebrating). Sam Smith sounded incredible, and the acoustics in the concert area were way better than I expected. My only gripe is that general admission gets very packed and a bit chaotic once the show starts. Still, despite the crowding, getting out was quick and easy, which definitely helped end the night on a high note. read more

Cool music venue in Greenpoint but right on the border of Williamsburg. It's in a residential area so parking can be tough but I was able to find a spot only a few blocks away It's decent sized and line of sight is pretty good unless you get stuck behind tall people ha. There's an upstairs level with a bar which has better sight lines if you're closer to the edge. There's also a bar in the main room as well as a bigger bar off in a side room. The bigger bar area has seating at the bar and some tables as well. There's also another side room for band merch. Cool staff and cool vibe here to see a show. Don't forget to try the perogies! I flew to NY to watch Sam Smith on 12/3. It was probably the worst concert experience of my entire life. It was general admission and standing room only. I knew that going in and didn't mind standing in the back. We got there 1 hour early. They had coat check because it was freezing outside. Sam Smith didn't start until 9pm. The room was packed. I mean PACKED. It was oversold and you felt it. You couldn't even move. It was definitely a fire hazard. If something happened we would all be hurt. I'm not sure what the laws are in NY but that would never happen in LA. We were scolded my security for trying to enter the room and even other concert attendees because their view was being obstructed. It's GA, I can't help it if some people are taller. It's part of the GA experience. We were pinned against the wall and literally couldn't move. I actually had to leave 45 minutes before it ended because security was verbally abusive and the people around were equally rude. The manager actually gave us VIP balcony when we complained about the security guard but we decided to leave. It wasn't worth it. *after posting my review, I read other people's reviews about the verbally abusive security guards. I knew I wasn't the only one. They totally ruined the vibe and they definitely need to do something about a fire lane. I couldn't walk to the back of the venue. Once you are in, you're stuck. read more

Only been to one show here that was definitely oversold. Crowd was packed in like sardines and it felt like it was over 100° inside. Whole thing felt like a huge tragedy waiting to happen. It took nearly 20 minutes to squeeze over to the bar area where the food and beers are good, but the staff wasn't super friendly. Greenpoint, as I recall, is the real Polish enclave, but Warsaw exists in the area between Greenpoint and Williamsburg on Driggs Ave, not far from McCarran Park. I remember The Polish National Home/Warsaw fondly, having played a gig there many years ago. Looking forward to going back next time I visit NYC and Brooklyn to attend a concert there. read more

Went to a concert at Warsaw this week and had a good time. The venue has great acoustics and visibility, with the exception of a few tall folks in front of me- I saw everything. My negative point would be an extremely aggressive frisk out front - I just had surgery and she basically slapped my body. Hollow Coves performed at the Warsaw last night. It was perfect. I arrived exactly at 7pm and I was able to see the opening act. She was amazing. All her songs hit the heart. Unfortunately, I didn't catch her name. I don't think Hollow Coves repeated it multiple times. Otherwise, I would remember. The venue was spacious. It was a far walk from the L train Bedford Avenue. The acoustics here are...not great. Saw Motion City Soundtrack here - Gully Boys opened for them and their sound was pretty awful. Went home and listened to them on Spotify and enjoyed them. The instruments needed to be a few notches lower so that they didn't drown out the vocals. Motion City was also a little too loud too. Security was efficient and the venue overall was pretty decent (here's looking at you Webster Hall) but we went in the balcony area and the ushers up there need to get on the same page. One says it's fine to rest stuff on the ledge, the other one is saying put purses and jackets on the floor...WTF. read more

Warsaw is a very cool venue. The theater is located inside a Polish cultural center and meeting place. The influence extends to the Polish beer offerings as well as a much appreciated selection of Polish food. During a recent visit I started with an order of pierogies and kielbasa, then later returned for an additional serving of sausage. There are lots of tables and chairs, and people will likely make room for you if you ask politely. Oh, but do keep in mind that the food and drinks are cash only. Consider hitting the ATM and pulling out a little extra to buy merch and tip your bartender generously. The auditorium feels old, in a way that it's like you're standing in a historical place, which you are. The stage is big and at a good height. There's plenty of room. The acoustics are decent and the sound mixing was crisp and clean when I was here last. Warsaw books an impressive calendar of excellent shows. You can follow them on Instagram to stay informed. They allow children in. 100% met a sixteen year old tonight who told me how her fake ID got her in the front row. Second issue is that they allow bands with CRAZY allegations against them to play. I don't want to support any band or venue with this kind of background drama. Research for yourself but honestly the ambiance is not worth the affiliation. read more

Amazing venue. Bar was so-so. When I went to order my drink, the bartender was extremely rude. She didn't even let me get out a few words of my question before she cut me off. She continued cutting me off a few times until I finally had to just tell her "sorry, please just tell me what that can is" and she finally just answered my question. Considering it wasn't a mixed drink and she was just really rude to me, I left no tip because realistically all she did was just crack open the can. She saw I left no tip and got mad at me, then ended up lecturing my friend on lack of tips when he was ordering his drink. Not a great look to try and force patrons to tip when you were just rude to their face. Hopefully others had better bartenders, but if you go, stay away from the pink-haired one. She's definitely one to ruin a nice evening. TLDR - Great evening, but rude bartender can change that. read more

Pretty cool venue! I love venues/bars/theaters that are repurposed spaces- there's always a vibe and history to the place that you can't get at a place like Brooklyn Steel with all of its modern conveniences. (Don't get me wrong, I love Brooklyn Steel, but it's just different.) Plus, not only is Warsaw fairly spacious so that I never felt crushed in spite of the crowds, but they have Polish beer (which the bartender tried to help me pronounce to no avail) and pierogies, too! *mike drop* If you like shows, don't miss this venue ! Decent sized venue, great staff, and a really good check item system. The huge pitfall for me is there second floor. I've been to other venues where the VIP takes a feels rows in from on the balcony but usually a bit lower so the crowd behind can see over them. This venue doesn't have vip much lower so even if you get there early, if you aren't in vip you will miss the entire show. Truly a waste of the space, even for the attendees that weren't in the front row of VIP, your vision is completely blocked. read more

I've loved this venue for many years, from various parties to the Milkmen (always a great show), to my most recent, those bad grrls from Russia, Pussy Riot (very late getting on stage btw). What makes this place special is the staff, and I hope they are appreciated$$$. Every staff member is 100/100 friendly, professional, helpful. The bar is turning over drinks quickly and the food is excellent. Note that, as is typical of Polish people, everything is so clean, bathrooms, food area, etc. Downside: no atm and no re-entry at events, so if you don't have cash for food you are stuck, sadly, pierogi-less. Please accept card at merch table and food stand! Or bring back the atms. read more

Absolutely fantastic venue for concerts! Sound quality was great, the space was clean (at least at the start of the show lol), staff is helpful and they have the best pierogis and cheese blintzes. I have to say even their coat check process was pretty spot on too. I loved that they offered multi areas to sit, eat and drink! No need to try and do an uncoordinated balancing act between holding concert merch, food and beer. If you're driving in, there was plenty of street parking but this location is also easily accessible by PT as well. Bar and food hall are all CASH Only, which is a bit of a bummer at this day and age, but they do have atm's on site too. Definitely looking forward to my next concert here. read more

Last night was the first time ever that I have gotten to come to The Warsaw and it would be for the closing night on the Ensiferum tour. The band would be joined by Kalmah, Abigail Williams and Aenimus for those who might be interested in that information. The venue is located right near the Nassau Avenue "G" train stop in Greenpoint, Brooklyn and once you are off the train you have about a five to ten minute walk depending on how fast you stride. Once inside you arrive in the main event space where the stage is and it reminded me a little bit of my school gymnasium but I liked it. The stage is spacious enough for a five member band in terms of the gear they brought and I felt that the lighting and sound were fine. To the left of this perspective of looking at the stage are two other rooms. The larger space is a bar and it stretches from one side to the other and there are some tables and a pool table there as well. The other room is smaller and could be viewed as more of a dining room since its near the kitchen that serves up a wonderful batch of authentic Polish food. They have a few different dishes but I stuck with the pierogies and kielbasa platter. It was only $6 and cash only. The downsides. For me the ability to pay with Google or conventional credit card is paramount because I do NOT like to carry much cash on me nowadays. The Warsaw does NOT accept credit cards of any kind and will point you to an in-house ATM. The other negative I had to add was the lack of WiFi signal and actually a very difficult mobile signal overall. Maybe the age of the building is compromising this, but an open WiFi to send tweets and Instagrams from the goings on at the event would have been nice. With the closure of the Playstation Theater coming soon and the Brooklyn Bazaar being gone on top of B.B. King Blues Club and Highline Ballroom, event spaces are continuing to thin out. I liked the place and feel more of the shows that I like will be happening here. I'll be back for sure. read more

Security at the door was friendly and efficient. When you first walk in, it feels like you're in a gymnasium at an elementary school. The place felt dated but I was into it. Off to the side they have a bar and a separate room for the polish food with tables and chairs. I was actually pretty surprised because I NEVER eat at concert venues (the options usually suck). But I made sure not to eat because I heard they have authentic polish food. I had the pierogis and kielbasa. The portions didn't fill me but it was delicious! Any other proper venue would have robo-texted or robo-called. We had drove two hours into the city and had a hotel reservation that night for nothing, wasted $500 and they made the cut off for a refund for tickets to be the night BEFORE the scheduled concert. Absolute scammers, will never see a show here again. read more

This was a really cool venue, I think it was recently renovated. Security staff was really friendly, same with the bartenders. Bar upstairs and downstairs. Only bummer was that the upstairs was mostly reserved for band guests etc. You can stand up there but not in the sectioned off area. When I went that wasn't an issue, it was mostly clear so still had a good view. Multiple bathrooms upstairs and downstairs. Separate rooms for food and merch, downstairs bar is a large room as well. Awesome concert venue. No frills. Kind of looks like a school auditorium, but great sound, security, and big space. The ground floor is standing only, though I'm not sure about the upper balcony area. I saw Andrew W.K here, and La Femme. Wild times! If you are tired of standing and/or need a drink, there's a bar area in another section of the venue. Facing the stage, it's to your left and to the back. The bar is pretty long, spanning two of the rooms in that area. There's tables and seating, bathrooms, and I think a pool table. Women's bathroom is for one-at-a-time, so there's line outside. In the middle room in the bar area, there's a flat screen that projects video of the stage (you can hear the music from the performance area pretty OK there, too). There is an exit also in this area. I have to note this - Warsaw has the best security. They have their game tight, but also aren't jerks to concert goers. I really like this place. Great place to go and see a show. read more

Very cool small venue! I went for the 3D Tour with Plain White T's, New Politics, and The Mowglis and it felt like a very intimate affair. There's a full service bar area off to the side when you enter. It's incredibly big and they had plenty of options. While you could definitely hear the show in there, it definitely helped that they had a screen going with the show playing on it so you wouldn't feel too bad if you ran out for a drink in the middle of the show. There was also a food stand on the side that seemed to have some Polish food, but I didn't try it - it did smell really good, though. The bathrooms here are pretty standard, they were clean, only 4 stalls in the women's room, so the line got a little long at times, especially considering the show wasn't overly filled as I'm sure some could be. They were clean and well-stocked, though. I can't really speak to the sound well, as I was very close to the speakers, so you tend to lose some ability to discern the quality when it is blasting in your ear, but it did sound very clear and good from up close. My main complaint with this venue, especially for someone coming from Long Island, is the accessibility. It was a bit of a pain to get to, but if you hit it right with the train schedule (as I was lucky enough to) it isn't too bad. read more

This might just be one of my favorite live music venues. They don't have many shows each month but the variety they offer is eclectic, trending towards rock. The building is a jewel from the late 1800's or early 1900's, and has been a Polish community center since 1914, providing a meeting place, jobs, and resources to the community. Yelps designation of this venue as a dive is off base, it's not dirty or seedy. The main room where the stage is located has ornate moldings on the ceilings, chandeliers, a gold trim around the stage, a balcony, and two massive near ceiling height painted portraits. The separate dining area is wood paneled with tin ceilings, wooden beams, and more chandeliers - not to mention Polish cuisine like blintzes, perogies, and kielbasa. The bar is a long soft crescent shape with wood and glass cabinets and a painted mural along the top back wall lit up in red. Details like this make the venue feel special, old buildings need a lot of love and maintenance to look this good and I'm so happy that they have found a way to keep a little bit of the city's history alive. The layout separates and flows each area in a seamless way. There are TV's in the bar and food areas as well as tables, so you don't have to miss the show if you want to take a break and talk with friends. There were plenty of bartenders, there was never a line for a drink, unheard of at live venues. There's no re-entry after exiting so they provide a smoking section outside.The bar is cash only but they have ATM's. I heard beers were $6 from someone complaining about that price point for a "venue like this". I don't think that's so terrible, depending on the beer I guess, but they have maybe three live shows a month and if it keeps the place open against the rising rents I'm OK with those prices. NY is losing its live music venues so yeah, take my $4 for coat check, whatever, just keep playing. Sound quality is phenomenal with great views from any vantage point. They sell earplugs at the bar if you need them. Lastly, security is amazing. Without going into too much detail, they went above and beyond to prevent a potentially bad situation (nothing to do with the venue itself) from developing using just kindness and attention. Love the venue. It feels charming and historic, and there are lots of different areas to walk around and sit if the standing area is not your vibe. We didn't get a chance to have dinner before our show, but I knew they served food here so I was excited to just grab some pierogis. But note it is CASH ONLY for food and there are NO ATMS. I saw a few reviews saying there are ATMs on site, so didn't even think to get cash ahead of time but as of November 2023 there are none!! And they will not accept Venmo/Zelle/Cash App. So frustrating! So definitely grab cash ahead of time if you want food. You can buy drinks with a card, but not food which is super annoying. read more

I love spending time with her because we can talk so much about Art and always have a great time. She drove from out of state to see this band, I was very glad I did went to see it. It was a great band and experience, such an energizing music, I absolutely understood her fascination with The Hu a music band from Mongolia, it was their first tour in the US. A few years ago I visited Warsaw but I never had been on the side of the concert area, it was great and cool, spacious enough to have great parties. I won't give it 5 stars because I didn't have the opportunity to eat in the restaurant area just yet. NY tri-state area have always great and amazing Art and Music events, I pick very selectively the ones that I do go and see, there is not enough time to be all over. I guess, I am talented at picking places to go and finding the best all around town. This place is perfect to rent for big events, or parties like Sweet 16. I wish the band would had started earlier because as much as I loved it and enjoyed, I had to leave early, didn't want to make myself extra tired for my next day. read more
