I've been going to Warriors Grill for many years now, and it is one of my favorite Mongolian grills. You typically get seated, get your drink and soup order, then can go to the grill to pick out the veggies, meats, and oils you'd like with your noodles. My go-to dish includes red and green peppers, tomatoes, mushrooms, bean sprouts, chicken, beef, mongolian sauce, sesame oil, and oyster sauce. Your plate can also be as huge as you want! For soup choice, I personally always get the egg drop soup. In addition, you also get unlimited sesame bread that's great for dipping in your soup and picking up the extra sauce from your noodles. Their prices aren't too bad. You can't go wrong with an $8.50 one trip lunch. Their dinner isn't even too expensive! It's such a large place, and can get pretty busy because the cooks are able to only put two dishes on the grill at a time. However, it only takes roughly a minute to cook your order, so you aren't waiting forever. In the meantime, you can check out their small salad bar on the left that is included. The restaurant offers a cheaper lunch price for the same amount of food (all you can eat). I love it here! I never knew the bread was meant to be a pallet cleanser between plates. It's so good. With your receipt you get a mini cookie too so always save room. The service is great and the cooks are nice. read more

As Michelle put it, this is indeed a "quick, casual" meal. Let me be clear: don't come here for a nice night out. Expect a particularly dowdy crowd. That said, you get soup, bread, and unlimited trips to the grill for like $11 bucks so you can't really beat that. There are a lot of "fix ins" (bean sprouts, veggies, etc) but everything, from the fix-ins to the meat, are stone cold frozen. And the sauces are kind of weird. There's this token "Mongolian sauce", which is what I stuck with because I didn't want to venture out, and then there are other "sauces", such as, garlic water, ginger water, and oyster water. I really didn't know where to go with that. And because you want to fit all your noodles and vegetables and meat and sauces into the bowl, you wind up spilling crap everywhere and carefully walking it to the preparer's station. The whole thing was just kind of a hassle, but maybe it's because when I go to a restaurant I like to be served. I can see a bunch of military dudes wanting to come here or maybe a family of 12 or something. Just not my cup of tea. read more

Went to lunch March 31, 2010 to celebrated my supervisor birthday Warriors grill @ Chesapeake. To our surprise we could not take out our left over' turns out one trip (one bowl) consider as buffet. Unbelievable, we paid for the food then Warriors Grill trash the food we paid for. I could understand the policy if it was told to us over the telephone when we called. Or noted somewhere in the resturant. It was agreed we wont be back for second. read more

I love the food there! however, dont count on any real service. Had to constantly wait an obnoxiously long time, during a slow shift, for anything i needed. The older waitress seemed to be doing well, but the younger one i got tuesday was not so much. read more

Not many choices in protein or carb, but good nonetheless. Service is fast and friendly, plus the soup, sesame bread and cookies are good.

Awesomeness in one location. I love Mongolian BBQ, and Warrior's Grill in Chesapeake does it right. There's always the freshest vegetables and meats, and it's always cooked to perfection. The manager is named Chee, and he really goes out of his way to make customers feel welcome. In any case, go and have some delicious Mongolian BBQ, great iced tea, or better yet a cold draft Yuengling, and some white chocolate macadamia nut cookies. Say Hi to Chee. Food was good, but service was horrendous! Website advertised a closing time on Sunday at 9:30pm and they said it was 9:00pm. My wife and I go in at 8:30pm and before we were seated, the hostess asked a colleague what the time was. After she learned it was a half hour before closing time, she lost her smile and acted as if we were an inconvenience. The chefs said nothing to us, and the staff seemed to be more interested in their phones. Then the OWNER came by asking us if we planned to get another plate! Very rushed. As soon as another table got up, they instantly starting moving chairs and tables cleaning, making all sorts of noise creating an unpleasant environment on an already rude atmosphere. I absolutely love this place. The atmosphere is very comfortable. The eastern influence is subtle yet noticeable. At the door you are greeted by a host/ server who takes you to your table and takes your order of soups and drinks. Then you are left to your own devices on the buffet style food preparation line. Before you is a good variety of vegetables, meats and sauces. The noodles are slightly oiled, so getting the right amount isn't a chore. The veggie selection is a nice mix from soft tomatoes, and mushrooms, to crunchy carrots and bean sprouts. So you have a nice choice of textures in your dish. Once you have craftily packed your dish with vegetables you have a typical selection of meats, crab, beef, chicken (white or dark meat), and lamb is available for dinner services. The meats are thin sliced and frozen, so getting that right size portion is easy. The frozen meat makes it easy to keep clean, and in a safe temperature range for sanitation. Now you're on to the tricky part. You have a wide range of sauces and seasoned waters to really give your entree assembly that final touch to take it over the top of deliciousness. This is the point you have to decide wether or not you like your family and friends with a taste for the spicy side. Because each guest's meal is cooked on the same grill top by a different grill master, in a display of eastern grilling techniques as they rotate around the grill large circular grill, your meal will soak up some of that spice from that guy's spicy indulgence. Warriors also features a well stocked bar in the front for beer and mixed drinks, as well as a simple salad/fruit bar with a typical choice of dressings near the grill. Once back at your table, your drinks and soups are waiting for you along with some delicious sesame biscuits and rice. On a busy day you can expect to wait for drink refills at times, but the staff does a good job of getting to all the tables. Feel free to get seconds at dinner if you can, unlimited lunch will cost you an extra two dollars. The check comes to the table with complimentary little white chocolate macadamia nut and chocolate chip cookies. The check is easily split at the counter when you are ready to leave. Warriors does a good job of showing their appreciation for our USSOC, and conventional military members as well as up and coming artists, with a kitchen refrigerator style display of pictures, stickers and art on the walls and windows near the entry way. Warriors is always an easy decision with my friends and family when it comes to deciding on lunch or dinner. read more

I enjoy Warriors! I love the sesame bread! Only one huge complaint. If I only pay for the one time through trip...I should be able to take home whatever I can't eat. I understand not offering to-go containers for the all you can eat crowd...but the "once through" patrons should be able to take their leftovers home. Period! Ventured all the way up to Greenbrier to eat at Warrior's Mongolian Grill. Typically, we have had wonderful experiences there. Tonight, I got up and walked out before I ate a single bite. We sat down and the waitress asked for drinks and the kids' ages. When I said that the kids would not be eating from the grill and would just like white rice, the manager (who was sitting at a table in the middle of the room on an iPad), called her over. As his table was right beside ours, I could hear the conversation. He told her to bring rice, but to watch us to make sure that we weren't feeding the kids off our plates and to count the bowls of rice that she brought out. As she walked away, he said that "that is so stupid." Now, I get that people try to beat the system, but have the conversation in the back, NOT sitting right beside us. I am not trying to pay $8 a kid for a plate of white rice. We try very hard to model honesty and integrity and to have that called into question in the middle of a restaurant was too much for me to take today. Sorry, Warrior's Mongolian Grill, but we will not be back. read more

This is one of my husband and I's favorite dinner spots. We've been patrons here for several years. The hot n' sour soup is my FAVORITE in all of Hampton Roads. (The server's even bring me a bowl of it instead of a cup when I ask nicely). The staff always tries their hardest to provide great service and the manager is honestly concerned that you have a good experience. The food is fresh and of good quality. Every restaurant is busy from time to time which can create service delays, but this one truly tries to be exceptional as often as possible. The majority of the bad reviews seem to come from people who wanted something for free. The (very reasonable) prices are clearly posted people! The bread and rice are supposed to be for people who are PAYING to eat including children. Mongolian Grill isn't a Soup Kitchen, it's a business who needs to pay its employees. I believe the lunch price is $8 for one trip or unlimited for $10, the dinner price is $12. Kids are $6. That includes soup, bread, salad, rice, and food from the grill. It's a VERY good value for the money and it will remain one of our favorite places to eat. We highly recommend it. read more
