It was a member of staff in another shop that recommended this place and boy was she right. They were just so helpful and had samples of colour dust etc so you could try the colours. I am no expert but they were so approachable and gave me tricks of the trade and really good tips on how to use things from the larder although they have a terrific range of reasonably priced stock in the shop. I can't thank them enough for all their help & encouragement. They make the most amazing cakes for Weddings, Birthdays, Christmas etc. I also saw some wonderful Chocolate Shoes !!!!! amongst their Chocolate creations. I have overheard them giving the most intricate advise on how to make a wedding cake to someone doing DIY but they will make any cake to your own individual specification. They also hold classes. So whether your making it yourself or want something really Special made for your Wedding do visit them, I know they will help.

That said, I managed to get a relatively decent tasting cuppa once the tea leaves were scooped out. The pecan Danish? A little dry but OK. Overall, it's a little pricey too. On the plus side, there's lots of comfy seating, free iced water, the sandwiches look nice although I didn't try them, the staff are friendly, and I found a sneaky power point to charge the phone and do me some Yelping! I had spent the night at Caffè Nero in the departure area before security. Luckily that was open 24/7. Surprisingly though, there was no wi-fi. Don't all Caffè Nero have wi-fi now? When I finally made it through security, I had a quick browse through the shops and went to Apostrophe in the departure lounge. I had never been to one but they certainly had the nicest looking sandwiches by far so I gave it a shot. I took a ciabatta with ham, mustard, cheese and dried tomato. I also ordered a hot chocolate. The toasted ciabatta was brought to me quite quick and I was happy to get a delicious breakfast. The hot chocolate was amazing. I don't actually know how to describe it but it was basically pure chocolate. Perfect! What I liked particularly about Apostrophe was the fact that they have jams on the tables, ketchup, mustard, pepper ... and lemon water for everyone to take. It was also fresh and delicious. This little extra allows me give Apostrophe five stars. Hardly any high street brand has such good food, drink and also some free extra treats around.

I have bought the occasional sausage roll from here. It is one of them stores where the smell draws…read moreyou in. The shop is always clean and the bread always fresh. Being right in the Town centre has many advantages as it is easy to get to it. The staff is always friendly and their prices are really good. I would recommend this to those who might be passing by and want a quick bite without spending too much. Last time I came here, they had a meal deal, however, this was a while ago so I am not too sure whether they still do.
