Granola, iced mocha latte and a almond vanilla pastry

The food was delicious! The canola was right consistency. The pastry was Devine! Coffee was also perfect. Was a cool day and even though it was iced, it still hit the spot! Service was pretty good and of course when you walked in through the door it smelled like heaven.

Cappuccino (but more like a Latte)

Discovered Gail's while in Kensington. During my second visit, I was giving compliments to one of the ladies behind the counter and was surprised to find out they are a local chain. 50+ in the London area. The feel is that of an independent neighborhood bakery and If that's what they are aiming for they have succeeded. The real success though is the old world style of baking their breads and using no "conservatives" (or preservatives) as the nice lady told me. A plethora of sweet and savory items. We got the sausage/egg breakfast sandwich, goat cheese/Red pepper Quiche, Ham, Cheese & Leek Quiche, Ham & Gruyere Croissant, Avocado/egg roll, Salmon/Avocado roll, reverse chocolate cookie (must try!) & Chocolate chip cookie. All excellent! Only complaint was the Cappuccino was really a Latte (too much milk). They do get busy in the morning but the servers are upbeat and friendly. Now if they only had a few of these back home.

Love this place! The BEST baked goods and coffee. Not to be missed and right off the Baron's Court tube station.

Finished up a jog to Hyde Park. On the walk return to Shepherd's Bush, spied the window FULL of loaves that were freshly baked, so had to walk in. Was greeted and taken care of by a wonderful server, Armaury. Though planning to pick just a coffee, wound up ordering a mini smoked salmon on poppy seed roll. See photo. Returned that same day for a proper treat and ordered sausage rolls (!) and discovered their bran muffins are also FANTASTIC (If you remember the 80s -- the bran muffin craze so they had the best brand muffins ever... This bakery makes them like that: moist, full of bran-goodness for digestive health. Try them, your body will thank you.

Such a cute, high quality, not overly expensive, and well run place. I read about this place after some searching through Korean blogs and Instagram posts. I went to the spot near the design museum. It's close to the tube and the museum, and it's spacious enough. Make sure you order the scone with clotted cream! (If you don't specify it, they'll give you butter and jam.)

Meeting our friend who just moved to London from LA.

Not so traditional English breakfast spot but absolutely delish! When I walked into this quaint corner bakery I was sucked into the large spread of baked goods. We met up with a friend who recently relocated to the area from Los Angeles. She and I both had the Avocado Smash. This large piece of toasted bread was loaded with a healthy helping of avocado with big chunks of avocado mixed into the mash. There were sesame seeds drizzled on top and some delicate greens as well. I might have liked a few onions on top but it was ok without them. My son had the sausage and egg on a warm roll and we shared the maple and pecan scone. The scone was warm but not hot and had a delightful light maple taste with big chunks of nuts. We also took scones to go to eat later. Although I wasn't sure about the chocolate cherry I was pleasantly surprised because they were very chocolaty with just a touch of cherry. Our cappuccinos were served with a leaf design in large mugs. We enjoyed our breakfast and our time with our friend. There are locations all over London so I'm sure you can find one close by. I would definitely check this place out.

Delicious breakfast sandwiches. Pricey but high quality. Breads were sparse by 10:30am. Come early for bakery items.

The Paul near the hotel where I stayed is one of these places. I haven't changed. I loved a bakery then and I still seek out one when I'm travelling. I loved visiting this cafe. My hotel stay didn't include breakfast. Frankly, there wasn't a place to have some at the hotel itself. Instead, I bought breakfast items to my room to enjoy. I went to this cafe and got these items: - Pain au chocolat - Quiche lorraine - Red velvet macaron I paid with a credit card. I remember staff being super friendly and nice. I got my items in a couple of branded paper bags. I brought them to my hotel room to devour. The pain au chocolat was delicious. It was flaky and the dark chocolate was there in every bite. The quiche lorraine was enjoyable. It had the perfect ratio of eggs to cheese, bacon, and onions. The crust was yummy and held everything together. Both items tasted fresh. They were warm when I ate them at my hotel room. I went back to get a red velvet macaron. It felt fancy having it in its own box. It was divine! I'm glad that this cafe still exists. It's awesome.
