I was on the move with my family and was looking for a quick bite. I came across this place which had a variety of pastries, breads, and sandwiches. After a quick scan, I found what I was looking for ... a breakfast croissant with bacon, egg, and cheese. The croissant was quickly warmed up for me and it tasted delightful. The croissant was warm and fluffy, which blended well with all the contents. The place was quite crowded, but felt fortunate to find one table so I could sit and quickly eat. I know this is a chain, but we enjoyed our 2 breakfasts here. It is very conveniently located across from the Earl's Court tube station, and around the corner from our hotel. I ordered a ham and cheese croissant both times because it was so delicious and perfect for a quick breakfast. My mom had an egg and cheese croissant, as well as an apple pastry. Our coffees were great, and service was pretty quick. We also stopped in here one evening on our way back to the hotel after dinner since we were craving a coffee and a dessert. They had sold out of many items by that time, but we were still able to get a slice of an apple and almond pastry, and a berry one. I loved that neither was too sweet and they were light and airy as well. read more

Very nice pastry shop that has some really awesome sandwiches and desserts. The desserts look like they are works of art! I felt like a kid in a candy story. I did not know what to choose. In the end, I ordered a cup of tea and a baguette (cheese, rocket, prosciutto, and poppy seeds on the bread). Wow! The baguette was delicious and was a descent size. Normally, I really enjoy Paul. I've eaten at them in Paris and Madrid. I was super excited when I saw that there was one right by our hotel in Earl's Court. However, this one didn't live up to what I have come to expect from this chain. Paul has a great selection of French style sandwiches and pastries. My perennial favorite is the Quiche Lorraine. The first day I tried to dine here they were out by around 9am. Bummer! However, when I did eventually get it later in the week I found the crust to a bit thick and on the dry side. One day the egg part of my quiche was totally burnt. My husband tried the croque madame and ham and egg croissant. He was not impressed with either. Both lacked meat in his opinion. The coffee and the chai were still top notch and the service was still quick and efficient. Prices are reasonable. read more

This location in London's Earls Court was our first experience of the international bakery chain, Paul. Instead of having a full breakfast at our hotel at Premier Inn, coming here was the best option for pastries and coffee on the go. Since it was a cold and overcast kind of morning I went with the "Mochaccino" (3 GBP). For a small 12 oz. it was packed with chocolate and mocha flavors. Although sweet, they did a good job making it and it kept me cozy. "Croissant Amandes" (2.35 GBP). It was a good size croissant, that said it was a little dense and dry in between the bread. I did like the amount of almond toppings and the powdered sugar gives it a little sweetness to did. This choice was just okay. "Flan Normand Slice" (3.45 GBP). This was an interesting pastry because its a combination of tart and custard. It's filled with apples and almonds. The textures are delicate so it can fall apart easily. My only compliant was the service, there was a lady who was preparing orders for me and she was rushing during the peak morning hours, therefore I ended up getting a Quiche and Egg Toast not the Ham & Egg Toast I requested. I didn't want to fall back in line to fix the order, the cashiers were too busy handling customers. When you see Paul from the outside, the place catches your attention with its classic look, also the inside as well. Its a feel good cafe for travelers and locals. read more

Very nice French inspired cafe, conveniently located across the street from Earls Court Station. This location is a lot smaller than the one I remember in Paris's Latin Quarter, but it had the essentials- coffee and good bread. We waited for our AirBnB check-in here for about an hour. Lots of tables inside with friendly service. Had a salami and cheese sandwich on a nice baguette, an almond croissant and a latte. All very delicious. The sandwich had sliced gherkins in it that complimented the salty, fatty salami very well. Gonna have to steal that one for ky sandwiches back home. Staff was quick and polite, and they keep the place spic n span. Highly recommend this stop. read more

Well, it's a chain, but it's a nice chain. Pick one of what seems like dozens of sandwiches, a bag of crisps, a coffee, a soda, whatever. Indeed their breads make the meal - the baguette I had was super dense, and chewy, and flavorful. It had ham and Swiss on it, and not much else. Fine by me - sometimes I like a simple sandwich. And this was a much needed lunch after a long (but nice) cruise from Southampton. So for under ten pounds, you can get a nice meal, and super quick. read more

Wow, what a find the Paul bakery is! We came here twice on our trip to London, as it was in the neighborhood. Between us we got the Tarte Citron (lemon tart) both times, which was our favorite. We also got a Mille Fleuille (sp?), a chocolate eclair (huge!), and a chocolate tart. We loved them all, and we are already lamenting the loss of Paul in our everyday life! We came here several times just for the macarons. They had a a 12 pack of regular sized macarons, and they were delicious. But they also carry individual macarons that are massive. I've never seen a macaron that big in my life, and they were fantastic, as well. The service wasn't the best, the workers didn't seem super friendly. But we got what we came there for. read more

My first time here. The cashier messed up my order and didn't fix it. The food i got was good. My coffee order did not get fixed. Instead, I was treated like a person who was trying to get a free drink. I got a soda to wash down my food. Upon leaving, the cashier probably realized she screwed up and offered to make me a mocha. I basically said thanks but no thanks. This should have been four stars but i give it two. Starbucks would make another coffee no questions asked. Please treat your customers with respect. As a tourist Iwas hoping for a nice meal, not attitude. I came back again and I do appreciate good food. Much better experience today. Pastries and sandwiches are very good. I had a very delicious lunch deal at this bakery and it was so worth it all the pennies! I tried the fiest tine the baguette with mozzarela and became my favourite! The staff were so friendly and offered to toast it as well! the coffee was incredible and i felt safe and with a smile on my face! I will come back for sure! read more

This place is amazing, it's great to drop in and out but you can also stay inside.Their food was great and not very expensive,one of the best baguettes I have had and for 1.70 pounds. The croissants were also delicious and reasonably priced. The pistachio macaroon was a bit on the pricier side but huge and worth it. So I was no longer a Paul s fan because in France they are everywhere, kind of pricey, not so crazy, and quality - at least for the sandwiches - seemed to fade slowly away to me. But what a pleasure to see this location opening around my area. Totally new look. New lights, new layout, out with the vintage old style looking Paul, this one feels modern and products are way better displayed. Place is brand new so everything still looks neat and clean. Got the Coppa sandwich Montagnard and loved it. Good bread, solid garnitures, pâté hidden inside felt like a surprise. Nice smile from the staff and comfy seats open to house made the experience super nice to us. It is not like I am going to stop there all the time now that it is open but is a good addition to the Pret located in front of it. At least it is giving us a new option and it looks good. So glad to see Paul finally rebranding its locations a bit. They need it. read more

Immediately across the street from Earl's Court station made it a convenient stop for pastries in the morning or dessert in the afternoon. The pastries and coffee are good, but are a little pricy. Eclair is £3.25 a piece, but will cost extra if it is eat-in. We visited a few times because of the convenience. read more
