The other dentist (NOT distinctive) did a filling that they not only trapped blood behind, but also left a massive amount of excess composite that went passed where the tooth meets the gum and essentially made a spear slicing into the inside of my cheek. I could fit a fingernail between the excess material and the gum above my tooth. I was in a ton of pain from the resulting ulcer on my cheek and the headache from dental pain. I called distinctive and was able to get an appointment very quickly. While Dr. Kim and the assistant remained incredibly professional, they seemed surprised and were very empathetic that I was left with a filling in the condition I was. They ensured I was fully educated on my options and involved me in the creation of the treatment plan. At the first appointment they removed the excess material to ease my pain and allow the soft tissues to heal. When I went back for the repair, we had initially thought a crown was necessary, but Dr. Kim was able to successfully repair with a new filling. They could've said the significantly more expensive crown was still necessary and I wouldn't have known better, but they chose better care over making money. The procedure itself was also miles better than my experience with the other dentist--the other office had forcefully pulled my cheek away as far as possible in an attempt to access the affected back molar, while Dr. Kim gave me instructions on how to hold my jaw so he could see. He also checked in frequently to ensure I was doing okay. He also took multiple photos throughout the process so I could actually see what he was talking about, and the before and after difference was night and day. TLDR: incredibly kind and compassionate staff that truly puts patient care over profit and ensure the patient is fully informed and involved in their treatment plan. I highly recommend!

At that time, I was out of town. My 18-year-old and 16-year-old went in for teeth cleanings. They never called my husband or me to let us know that our insurance was outside of their network. They were supposed to call us and discuss everything before proceeding with the procedure. They told my 18-year-old that they had informed us about all procedures and payment options, but they never called us. Now, the front desk is telling me that my daughter is 18 years old and can sign any papers, even though they misled her by not informing us and having her sign the papers. My husband was out of work for nine months, and we were on Molina insurance. We had just set up our insurance and received calls to make appointments. For my dental treatment, they called me three times to schedule appointments. When I returned to the country and called to confirm, they told me we weren't covered with them, and I could not be seen. They could have done the same for my daughters. It was only a three-week difference between my girls' appointments and mine. How is it that they could see my daughters, but I couldn't be treated? They made a mistake. They didn't inform us that our insurance was out of network for Dental Designs. Now they want to send the bill to collections, even though we are not at fault. The front desk failed to make everything clear. PLEASE BEWARE OF THE SCAM DENTAL DESIGN IS PULLING. There must be many older people who don't even know they are being wrongly charged or given incorrect information. Having a 16-year-old sign payment papers is wrong. Telling false information to a 16- and 18-year-old is wrong.

Close enough I guess when everyone's sticking their fingers and probes in your mouth. Interior was nice, they put effort in making it a cozy little cabin-esque environment but of course that only lasts in the lobby. Similar to how they massage and give cows alcohol in Japan to butter them up before leading them to their doom. At Lacamas the "doom room" happens to be pretty good though. They give you sunglasses so you can look stylish to offset how silly you look when you're constantly staring up at them mouth wide open like a newborn bird. They also have TVs on the ceiling only Spiderman could've installed so that's impressive. You'll get to watch the food network so they can make you hungry while subsequently knowing you won't be able to eat for the next couple of hours. I appreciate the subtle sadism though. The X-Ray process is tedious as they'll take upwards of 20 pictures as opposed to my past experience of about 2-4, but on the plus side it'll definitely help some of you work on that shy gag reflex (Humblebrag: I only gagged once). My teeth aren't bad, just neglected. I always brush, but regrettably don't really floss. My work was mostly done by Kolby, as the newbie she was the deck-mate tasked with scraping barnacles off the bottom of the ship. One of the first things she told me was that I have some deep pockets and at first I found that to be a bit forward but then she clarified she meant my gums. So she got to the deep cleaning and damnnn she did a good job. She transformed my teeth into a channel 5 news anchor's, I'm out here lookin like Chip Skylark now with the unforeseen side-effect of singing about my shiny teeth and me. Kolby was very attentive, considerate, informative and FUNNY. She was able to hold a conversation well and keep me entertained (which ofc isn't her job) despite only hearing a version of English you might get from a disgruntled Ogre. @Mr. Bossman, whatever she's making, she's worth double (but I think at LEAST a 5% immediate raise is fair). And lowkey Michelle too bc she's like that mentor who journeys to the top of a Tibetan mountain in her free time who, when no one else can...she WILL. She found the spot to make me go numb that only a few people can ever say they've found. They said I'm special, which I already knew based on my mom and middle school bullies telling me, but apparently my mouth is more difficult to numb because of the placements of my bones and nerves or some shit, but they nailed it along with everything else! My husband and I have been coming here for 5+ years. Dr. Wood and the hygienists in my opinion are…read moreamazing. We have had fillings, crowns, wisdom teeth removal and periodontal deep cleaning. However, the insurance verification staff could use a lot of improvement. My husband and I have ALWAYS been under the periodontal maintenance plan which is a deep cleaning every 4 months instead of every 6 months. We were on a dental plan in 2023 that had no waiting period for these deep cleaning at only $125 per visit. But the insurance staff told me this plan was terrible and that I should upgrade it because it was too hard to bill the ala carte delta dental clear plan on their end. So I switched the plan in 2024 per their instructions. Well, now there is a 12 month waiting period and my husband and I are not covered for exact treatment plan that they gave us for deep cleanings every 4 months. We need to pay $200 out of pocket for the treatment plan that we were given. And now we are paying a high monthly dental premium for no reason because what we need isn't even covered. We should have stuck with our original clear delta dental plan. Do your due diligence and call and check your insurance on your own before going here. Or go somewhere else where you aren't given conflicting information about changing delta plants/etc.

I requested the works for this procedure ( IV anesthesia) and the whole process was over and done with before I knew it. I work in a pharmacy and have seen many times where patients bring in their prescriptions post surgery and are stuck on the waiting areas in pain with bloody gauze in their mouths. Dr. Kreger arranges your procedure so that your driver is able to take your prescriptions to the pharmacy while you are undergoing the extractions so you have your prescriptions and can go straight home after the procedure. This is very convenient and more dental offices should offer this curtesy. On top of this the staff are extremely competent and friendly. An overall good experience.
