I am extremely disappointed with the experience my family had at this dental office after being patients for years. My daughter was referred here by another dentist, and the referring office had already completed X-rays. Instead of obtaining those records, this office performed extensive additional X-rays that ultimately were not covered by insurance, leaving us responsible for paying out of pocket for imaging that was unnecessary. What made the situation even worse was the way it was handled. The office manager was incredibly rude and refused to acknowledge that my daughter had been referred when I asked why they didn't obtain the X-rays from the referring office, despite the fact that I had phone calls directly from their office confirming the referral. Rather than working with us to resolve the issue, the account was immediately sent to collections. After years of being loyal patients, I expected much better communication, professionalism, and customer service. Unfortunately, this experience completely changed my opinion of this office, and we will not be returning. read more

Absolutely the most compassionate, effective, and thorough dentist I have ever visited. His care has resolved my dentist fears; he won't even begin without making sure you are comfortable. The office staff are really sweet, the waiting area almost always has bob ross, and parking is never an issue. Now that my husband and I have been to them ourselves (both for new patient consults/evaluation and for a small filling for me), I can say we're thoroughly impressed and pleased at every level. Friendly and professional service ... from the front desk to the dental assistant and Dr Stagg herself to the back office staff who went above and beyond to help us find an oral surgeon in our network for work my husband will need. 12/15/24 update: *sigh* Cascade Dental, I am a justice-based person, and while your latest correspondence from Dr. Daniel Wilson (whom I have never met) is closer to truth (dismissing my family from your practice for "*recent* negative and disrespectful interactions" with your team, instead of "multiple negative interactions"), it's still not truth. So, I am compelled to respond. All I did with Dr. Reller was assert that we were confident the antibiotic was causing the problem, so please switch brands (which did the trick), and please note this incidence in her chart, so she knows what to watch out for in the future. It did not feel negative to me, but I know men in general and doctors in particular don't especially like to be disagreed with, so. Then, I received communication from my insurance company that they had indeed paid for this procedure a full month prior. As it was just before Thanksgiving, Cascade Dental is a large, successful dental office, and I just filed bankruptcy for medical bills this summer, it never even occurred to me that it was anything but proper to ask for the $753.07 we had overpaid back from Cascade Dental promptly. Only when manager Marilyn explained that the office's standard reimbursement timeline for such instances is three months did I realize they were truly doing something special in getting my money back to me sooner. One does have to wonder, though: Why is a three-month wait to properly reimburse mis-charged patients standard at Cascade Dental? That seems very, very strange to me. But, I digress. Thirdly, at our last appointment, when our hygienist informed me that Cascade Dental would no longer wear N95 masks upon patient request, I was upset as one would expect a five-years'-disabled-by-LongCovid patient to feel, but not disrespectful, at all. In sum, dear reader, know that Cascade Dental considers advocating for proper, science-based care and protection for yourself and your loved ones, as well as prompt reimbursement, "negative and disrespectful." Do with that information what you will. P.S., Cascade Dental: Know that excellent health is not a given. Woe to you and yours who find themselves in declining health, and are part of your "family." This was a disturbing process. and I am sorry to say. With careful consideration amongst local dentists, I chose Cascade based on reviews. 1) The reviews are absolutely correct on this one point: They definitely will TELL you that you are getting a teeth cleaning on day 1, if that is what you called for! The "nice" lady on the phone will "confirm". They are the biggest LIARS! They for sure (mark my words) will never do it. Cascade will make up excuses, cause delays, will never fulfill their promise. They definitely will upsell you to a really expensive product and will definitely cause you MULTIPLE UNNECESSARY appointments!! 2) Came here for two appointments, never left with ONE thing done! Specifically asked for a teeth cleaning on appt #1, no one told me that for sure wouldn't happen. 3) On Appointment #2 they told me they would only do a DEEP teeth cleaning, she was going to prep to start appointment one of four. So yeah...four more appointments. In the past, this was a "suggestion" but not requirement. I opted for a regular cleaning, and they wouldn't do it. Deep cleanings are very expensive and not covered the same way. I simply don't have the money now. She didn't even tell me the cost upfront (which I knew from the past). It was SO unprofessional! Every other time, they explain the bigger cost first before deciding to do a procedure. This part to me is just odd, why would you assume I have the money to pay for that? Now I have wasted time and probably money (haven't gotten the bill for no service yet). I am sure they want a ton of office visits to rack it up. THey are after one thing: Money. read more

I cannot thank Cascade Dental, Dr. Rick Furman, and his excellent chairside assistant for doing everything they could to make me feel comfortable. They explained everything thoroughly, answering many questions before I even asked. I really felt as if I received VIP treatment, but I suspect they make all their patients feel that way. I had what I consider major work. I had lived with no lower molars, badly failing upper molars and a small removable upper bridge for a long time. My mouth was a mess. Although they had to remove four upper teeth and one small lower root, the procedure was absolutely painless and completed very quickly. Dr. Furman immediately seated both upper and lower partial dentures, that fit perfectly, leaving me with a much nicer smile and greatly improved dental health. Even when my insurance turned out to not cover this type of work this year, I didn't mind paying because the price was reasonable, the result was fabulous, and will improve my life immeasurably! Very nice people to work with. They were able to get me in for an exam pretty quick. My cleaning was scheduled months out, but I was on the cancellation list and got in much sooner. Hygienist was excellent. Only thing I didn't like was attempts at being upsold for for additional services (fluoride treatment, night guard, etc.). I love my new dental office. My friend Sarah Benson recommend me to Cascade Dental. When I first walked in I felt like I was in Hollywood. I don't like going to the dentist but I was happy when I walked tht the front doors. I really like my dentist Dr. Stagg and all the people that work with her. I've never had a place that I felt they wanted to make sure my teethe were in good shape. I've been sick for 7 years and Dr. Stagg and the ladies made me feel good about my teeth. If you suffer from anxiety or any dental fears...this is probably not your office. It's unfortunate when the front office does not want to work with you. Dismissive and very defensive communication from the admin, because you ask them to do something they are able to do. Unreturned calls and front office turn over. Seems staffs personal feelings get in the way of a professional relationship. you deserve a calm and caring experience - start to finish - directing your own coverage "offends" them, saying NO to add ons so they can use more of your avail coverage is your decision. They do not seem to care about the loyalty of their patients. Previous owner was much better at getting the facts, listening and finding a resolve. read more

How this place has any less then 5 stars is beyond me! If I could give it more stars I would! From the first time I came here I felt welcomed. The staff is so beyond kind. And they go above and beyond to make sure your comfortable. I have HATED the dentist since I was a kid. Avoided it for years. I have been getting work done now for the past 4-5 months. I went in to see dr. Furman for alot of "fires" going on in my mouth. I admit that teeth care has been kind of a losing battle for me. I have very sensitive gums and feel lots of pain whenever I get work done. The day I came in i was in very rough shape and dr. Furman started work on my mouth right away repairing years of damage with ease. He numbed my whole mouth more effectively then i thought possible and saved my smile. I used to never smile as i was embarrased by doing so but now I'm smiling ear to ear and living such a better life. Jaimie was my Hygenist and she did an outstanding job, again. She took extra time and was very gentle cleaning tartar from my teeth and checking everything thoroughly. Unfortunately, my usual dentist, Dr. Andy wasn't in, but Dr. Wilson did a wonderful review of my teeth. Every time I go to this office I get awesome care, by everyone. For those of you, who hate to wait; I didn't have time to sit down before it was my turn. The receptionists were kind and attentive. Also, Jaimie has done additional schooling and put together a special binder for people that will undergo chemotherapy. She was a wealth of information! I was so grateful to another great experience. 2018 - Sabrina was my Hygenist for the second time. She's FABULOUS! I'm always so grateful for the experience at Cascade Dental. I called here asking if they took new patients and set an appointment to get my teeth cleaned. I was assured I would get a cleaning after x-rays and a dentist examination. Had that done and set a second appointment thinking I was getting my teeth cleaned but no they had me scheduled for a cavity filling I didn't know I had, and to fix a chipped tooth the dentist said he would fix for free. I didn't get a cavity fixed but I did get a bill for $153. Then when I go to set my appointment for a cleaning, I'm told they are booked for 5, FIVE months. Wouldn't the ethical thing for a dentist to do is divulge to new patients that they won't be getting their teeth cleaned for 6 months? Called to complain to the administrator and was put on hold for 5 minutes and had to call back a second time. When I finally got the admin she was unapologetic. If you need your teeth cleaned like most people wanting to see a dentist don't go here. read more

It would be zero stars if I could, dentist, was great, service was great, transparency on billing WOW lot to be desired. Got sent to collections after literally sitting down with there billing rep whom stated basically I will be charged more charges, um fire that lady all she does is rip people off. What kind of scam is this place. I had platinum insurance and paid everything almost immeditely, only to be billled or basically taken advantage of. Covid has been hard on everyone yet they pay collection agencies to harrass me about some bill they decided to tack on. I had an appointment for January 4th 2016 at 4:30pm. I received a call in the morning and early afternoon, they kept asking me tried to come in early. Apparently Dr Polan wanted to go home early. I declined both time since I was busy all day with work. I'm a new patient and this is my first visit. I simply needed a cleaning and nothing else. I was informed by the receptionist that I was required to get x-Ray. My previous dentist had not released my dental records. I already requested but no response. When I was taken to the chair, the hygienist informed me I had to get x-Ray. I declined because I had X-ray earlier in the year. Dr. Polan arrives and requires I take X-ray to get teeth cleaning. I decline again since I didn't want more X-rays. He refuses any work without X-ray. They claim it's by part of their care protocol. I request a simply clean and no full exam, they refuse unless I get X-ray. Since I refuse X-ray, no work can be done. I get up and leave. I didn't want to get X-ray on my first visit, what if I didn't like the dentist? I would have gotten a useless X-ray. I've been to terrible dentist before. Even more, I have right to decline what goes into body. Is an X-ray really needed with a clean? Can't I get the clean and the X-ray on the next visit? This poor customer is clear indication of disrespect to patients. They threw money away. My wife wants a couple dental implants and my kid would have come here. I was suppose to be a test run. They declined a few thousand dollars of business. I have excellent dental insurance from a major corporation. This office is full of unprofessionals. I will tell colleagues to avoid this dentist. read more

I needed a new dentist and Cascade Dental had a special on x-rays, so I made an appointment for teeth cleaning. Dr. Himsworth gave me a thorough examination and asked if I had ever heard a lot of 4's and 5's during a gum probe. I was told to make a 2nd appointment to meet a hygienist. At the 2nd appt., rather than cleaning my teeth, the hygienist gave me one of the roughest gum probes I've ever had and said there were a lot of 4's and that I needed a $850 deep cleaning, which meant a 3rd and 4th appointment. I've never been told I needed a deep cleaning before, so I got a 2nd opinion by a specialist in gum disease, a respected periodontist. At that appt, the periodontist said deep cleaning would be "overkill." The staff at Cascade Dental were all nice---but not nice enough to go back for an expensive and unnecessary treatment. read more

The practice has been going down hill ever since it was bought out by Daniel E Wilson, DMD. There is a dog in the office near the teeth cleaning stations. Poor billing where you don't know what the charges are for and sent nearly 9 months later. Always makes you get an xray before any cleaning is done. They could care less if you go here or elsewhere. Please go elsewhere that has better billing. Cascade Dental constantly bombards you with campaign emails to give them high internet rankings and vote for them in various competitions. read more

My appointments never start on time and no payment plans for dental work or ortho devices. My dentist also always seems to need to break off mid appointment to do "a quick exam on another patient in a hurry". Not sure if this is a scheduling issue or what. Super frustrating. Nice dentists though, chatty hygienists. UPDATE: After speaking with 2 different people back in February regarding my appointment and billing, it appears there was still confusion. My goal was to ensure that all my bills were paid up front or that I at least had an idea how much would be coming later as a bill. After being reassured that I was paying everything up front free and clear and no bills would be surprising me later, in MAY a bill shows up from an appointment in FEBRUARY. Not only was I surprised, I almost missed it because the bill went to my mother due to an address mix up. So unbelievably frustrated. Kudos to Lynette in billing who answered all my questions, but between the abhorrent way customer time is treated to the completely lacking knowledge of billing and insurance at appointment time, I will not be back and I will be telling everyone that listens what my experience has been. read more

I am very upset with my appt at this dental office. I was a new patient, going in for my routine exam. The dentist who saw me told me that I had 8 cavities and would need 4 fillings. I explained to her that I was very surprised by this, as I have never once had a cavity in my entire life. She then described foods that could be causing this (which I told her I do not eat any of the foods she listed off) and told me to come back ASAP for my fillings. Something didn't feel right, so I went to another dentist for a second opinion, and sure enough this new dentist told me that my teeth are in great health and there are no cavities present, just areas to "watch" and that flossing routinely will take care of it. I am thankful I listened to my gut and got a second opinion, before spending over 800 dollars on fillings that my teeth do not need. I would not recommend Cascade dental to anyone. read more

I went here last year after seeing the great reviews. I had a great experience with my dentist but the billing department here is terrible. I was scheduled for a cleaning from cascade dental after I had used up all of the revenue from my insurance plan without my knowledge. I had to find this out at the end of my cleaning from the billing department. Why didn't they tell me this beforehand? I have no idea but it left a bad taste in my mouth. A few months later I told this story to a dental hygienist and before I could tell them who I went to they said "you must have gone to cascade dental because we here that all the time". Watch out!! Good dentist but they either don't know or don't care about telling you when your insurance is up. read more

For many years I had the same dentist, but just recently I have switched to Dr. Wilson and Cascade Dental. My last dentist was great, that's why I stayed with him for so long, and Dr. Wilson acknowledged that when he first saw me. Dr. Wilson was a pro with a soft hand and an excellent chair-side manner. Cascade Dental may look like a training school with the number of hygienists working at any given moment, but even tho it's a bit of a super store for dentistry, I have always had a pleasant experience during my visits. More recently I had a cleaning done by Becky that was superb, she loves what she's doing and it shows. Thank you Becky. Even all the ladies sitting behind desks, the ones you pay, are all very nice as well. It's truly a pleasure to come here and how often can you say that about seeing the dentist? read more

While I really like the dentist and the cleaning staff, the office is run by a bunch of clueless individuals that have no respect for your time. They have now called me 3 different times for 2 different cleaning appointments this year telling me that they need to reschedule the appointment due to office training. Well guess what, I made my appointment months ago at a specific time to fit in to our schedule and you are calling me 4 weeks out saying that someone has decided to close the office that day. No one runs a business like this. How about putting your customers first? How about actually doing some business planning at the beginning of the year? This is not an emergency. Your office didn't burn down. Your dentists aren't sick. Also, watch your billing here but that is a whole different issue. read more

Dr. Wilson did absolutely beautiful work on my 16-year-old daughter's upper teeth, using resin bonding to fill in natural gaps in her smile. The whole team was incredible friendly and we felt very comfortable with their safety measures (the procedure was done during the pandemic). After four months, her teeth look as great as they did on the first day, completely natural. It is a real gift to see her smile without feeling self-conscious. Thank you, Dr. Wilson! read more

First two experiences there. Positive: very nice scheduler who understood my need to get in due to tooth pain. Negatives: Expensive with poor understanding of insurance - or at least poor communication to me of the details, very difficult crown procedure without even discussing the need for pre-meds to a dental-anxious person. And whether or not I'd had difficulty (I definitely had and this contributed to a long lapse in dental care) during a prior dental procedure simply wasn't high on their radar. And now I've had two bad / difficult dental experiences. Worst, while I wrote my initial review in a state of severe pain and resulting anger as the lidocaine-equivalent shots used during the crown procedure was wearing off, I still think even in hindsight that it wasn't good practice not to even discuss with me the best way to minimize post-procedure pain with ice, Advil (etc.), topical numbing meds or other means. This is particularly because not one but TWO prior crowns I've had required stronger prescription meds for adequate post-procedure pain control. Finally, even though I made three people in the office aware of this as I was checking out, I still received no instructions on the best way to deal with discomfort. I only got generic lines like 'most patients don't have much pain' and 'I'm sure it will be ok honey.' Well I'd had significant pain it in the past and absolutely 100% had it again. So as I am now editing my review with the benefit of over 2 weeks of additional time: for 2 full days I was sufficiently uncomfortable- to put it mildly - that I couldn't function at work or sleep adequately. I'm not blaming the office / dentist for the post-procedure pain as this was my prior experience with two prior crowns. But their level of concern over this or lack thereof was the issue. Even when I called the AM after my procedure to ask about getting a strong prescription strength oral lidocaine/benzocaine type gel to help I didn't even get a knowledgeable answer ranging from 'of course! Come on by' to 'sorry, we don't do that' to 'no such product is made.' Instead I basically got dead air on the phone. And FWIW, even though the acute pain did obviously eventually back off, I still can't comfortably chew on that side of my mouth. Not sure if the crown I received actually even fixed my initial problem. Bottom line: if you like your dentist from the old days you'll be happy with their overpriced, for profit and not for comfort operation. If you are a modern dental consumer you can do 100x better. Edit: maybe I shouldn't have talked about price as I didn't shop around or anything. I do know that I have subsequently been to a MUCH superior dental practice and they aren't recommending any of the couple thousand dollars in additional work that Cascade Dental wanted me to have. Final bottom line: I've changed dental practices and so far am very happy I did. read more

Even though I hate needles haha But this cleaning was no different than the last, always a pleasure and they're so friendly. Wow, big thanks to Cascade Dental who fit me in when I lost a filling in my front tooth this week. My (wonderful) current dentist is a one man show and couldn't fit me in within a reasonable time. As it felt like a blow hole in my tooth, I wasn't inclined to wait and hope for the best. I did some research online and came up with Cascade Dental (only 3 miles from my home). From the first person I spoke to, I felt reassured and cared about. I was in the office within two hours and Dr. Wilson got me totally fixed up and ready to go. I so appreciate the fact that they were able to accommodate me on such short notice. If the cost for regular dental care seems in line with what I have been paying, I'm making the change to Cascade Dental. read more

Twice, on two separate occasions regarding two totally different appointments, I have been told they will call me the next day and have never received a phone call back. It has now been two weeks. I have had an unpleasant experience with Cascade Dental and their customer service. Caveat this is during the pandemic and I understand that business does not run as usual. However, there is still room for good customer service. I have been waiting for a teeth cleaning. Before I'm able to, I was told I must do an assessment. So I wait a month for that appointment and then have to wait another month for the next dental cleaning that works with my schedule, as I have my own patients at work. I receive a call 1 business day before my cleaning and am informed that my appointment has been cancelled. Jessica offers me dates and times that interfere w my work schedule and dropping/picking up child. Jessica proceeds to get frustrated with me and my lack of availability... she completely lacked empathy for the inconvenience on me and I felt like she was assuming that I should cancel my own patients to take whatever availability they have. So here I am waiting one month out for a cleaning again. And I have to cancel another appointment with them for dental work bc I must have my cleaning first (more rescheduling and inconvenience). And I cannot go elsewhere as I already did that assessment and my insurance will not duplicate services. If I had the choice, I would choose elsewhere. I don't think it's much to expect customer service that is empathetic to the difficulty of trying to find more time to carve out for rescheduling. And not getting frustrated as if I am inconveniencing them. read more

Excellent dentist. Shelley was the best dental hygienist I've ever had and I've had a lot. They even have a jaw specialist for my jaw pain.

Drove all the easy from seattle for these guys. I genuinely appreciate the time, care, and level of concern. I've never experienced dentists who is taken the time to explain to me what they're doing why they're doing it, or what causes the problems that i'm there to fix. also I was unaware that it was possible to get the shot in the mouth with a needle and not feel the pain!! Some doctors are very good and will do things only it is necessary, not because they see your good insurance. The business staff and billing office are horrible. A lot of mistakes and the patient has to figure it out to let them know to fix. read more

Wow.. Dr. Jay and his staff are awesome! I had a crown fall off during a winter snow and freezing ice storm and they got me in immediately.. I seriously am afraid of dentists and usually require some kind of anti anxiety medication to even show up, but in this case it wasn't possible. Anyway, Dr. Jay and his crew made me feel safe and welcome.. and I didn't feel any pain whatsoever while he fixed my crown (my teeth are very sensitive). They were able to communicate and work in a way that totally put me at ease. I can say this was the best (and most entertaining) dental experience I've ever had! I see Dr. Fischer and am very happy with the service I receive. I've had exams, cleanings, minor work, and major work and I keep going back because they are great!
