The overall experience was poor. They only provide out of network insurance coverage, which typically means an increased cost to the patient, but I was assured by Dr. Lieblick the surgery would be uncomplicated after doing X-rays and I was eager to have some pain relief and get rid of the problem. After my surgery, there was no post op check from the doctor, I was monitored by a dental assistant until my spouse picked me up. I had questions regarding the procedure, but he had already stepped into his next case so no review or discharge was given from him. One week after the surgery, I was still in extensive pain that radiated to my jaw and temple, significant swelling across my face and in the back of my throat making it difficult to swallow, and a foul taste in my mouth. Giving benefit of the doubt, I did a call consultation on a Saturday where the on call doctor, Dr. Rehrer, told me to "ride it out" because the symptoms were normal, but offered to come in if the information above persisted on Monday. I did, so they were able to squeeze me in where Dr. Rehrer took a quick look inside my mouth and told me "everything looks fine, unfortunately you have delayed healing." I came in that Monday seeking help and instead felt dismissed by the surgeon. As a first time mom who is currently nursing and having all these dental issues it has been extremely difficult and painful to eat and even swallow liquid due to swelling and Dr. Rehrer did not offer any further assistance or empathy for that matter. Still in pain, I sought a second opinion from another doctor. They told me Dr. Lieblick left an exposed root, I had dry socket, and I was started on antibiotics and even steroids for the major inflammation. With such a vast difference on the post care diagnosis - I can't help but write a poor review based on my surgery, post op care, and overall experience that left me feeling neglected as a patient. I would not recommend this office to a friend

I was chewing on some ice like an idiot and I cracked one of my molars. I had to have the tooth…read moreremnant extracted and a titanium implant drilled into my jaw to replace the tooth by having my dentist put a crown on the implant after the implant will be in place for a couple months. I'm from Seattle but a close friend recommended that I go to see a doctor in Portland?! With that recommendation I hopped on a greyhound bus to see Dr. Lieblick down in Gresham. Full disclosure, i'm not a great dental patient even when I have a basic cleaning every 4-6 months. I don't do well with the basic stuff let alone the thought of having a major surgery done in my mouth... After the cat-scan on my head they numbed the side of my mouth and extracted the tooth but one of the two roots didn't come out cleanly so they had to do a little drilling to remove it which I didn't feel at all although the noise was a little unpleasant. The drilling stopped after about 45 seconds then Dr. Lieblick said "we're all done". With my numb tongue and lips I mumbled "whuh bout the mimplant". He said "it's in and you are ready to go". I took 2 ibuprofen one time after the procedure and nothing in the 2 weeks since because there was no pain whatsoever after the initial soreness. from what I had heard from the two people who had dental implants in the past I expected that the procedure was going to be horrible and the pain would be excruciating for a while after the procedure. Obviously the procedure couldn't have gone any better! I guess that it pays to see a Doctor who's placed thousands of implants and not some oral surgeon hack let alone a general dentist who wants to try their hand at procedures they aren't trained to do. From the pre-surgical CT-scan of your mouth to setting a follow up appointment on the way out, based on my experience, you should expect to be in the office for under 45 minutes unless you have to be sedated for a more involved procedure like removal of all your wisdom teeth. I couldn't be more surprised that the implant placement was easier than a regular filling in my experience. The staff could have only been better if they would have given me a foot massage while I was having the procedure completed. From the greeting at the front desk to the smile on the way out it was less stressful and painless than the time my barber nicked my ear as he was cutting my hair. Seriously, if you need to have an extraction or implant then take my word that you can't do any better than Beacon Oral surgery at any of their four locations. I told my friends who'd had implants that they were whiners or they went to the wrong doc for their surgeries.... If you've been holding off because you're nervous, schedule an appointment and get your surgery done by the best doctors around Portland! I forgot to mention the worst part is that you'll want to chew food on the a different part of your mouth until you get your crown. I found that drinking protein shakes for some meals will help you shed a few pounds so there's another plus from getting an implant done by Beacon OMS.

I have never had a bad experience with a dental office in my life. I've had fillings done, wisdom…read moreteeth removed, a root canal and lots of cleanings. I don't want to leave a bad review and feel a little anxious doing so, but I feel like it is my duty to other people who might consider going to this office. Early this year I had a cracked porcelain cap that needed to be fixed, and a filling that needed to be replaced on another tooth. I came in for the filling replacement - a simple fix. At the end of the appointment I said multiple times that my bite felt too high. But the dentist said that it looked good based on the coloring she was getting and my bite should be fine. Like I said, I've only ever had great dentists so I figured she knew what she was talking about and I was numb, so I trusted her. I went home, my bite was really high - all I could feel was the tooth that she had jsut replaced the filling for hitting. My other teeth don't touch. I figured it was an innocent mistake and I made an appointment to get it fixed. My next appointment she did the colored paper thing in my mouth again and said that she could see that that was the only tooth hitting. This was the first time that I felt a question about trust since she had told me the tooth wasn't hitting in my previous appointment. She seemed frustrated with me and kept repeating herself "if I take down the tooth anymore I'll take away the filling". I am not a dentist so I didn't know what to do with that information. I had to ask multiple times what I should do about it. She replaced a simple filling and now was acting frustrated and rude with me that my bite was way off. She finally said "I don't know what to do I'm going to give you a referral to a jaw specialist". I asked for her to contact the Jaw Specialist directly because a consultation would cost $600 out of pocket for me and it didn't make any sense to me that they would be able to help. She then tried to charge me for that bite correction appointment that I only needed because she messed up my teeth and she didn't even fix anything during. She then didn't respond to messages from me for about 6 weeks. I contacted the Jaw specialist that she "referred me" to. I asked they said they needed more information because the referral was completely illegible, and coming to them to fix a bite didn't make any sense. The dentist finally got back to me and said the problem is that my bite is changing because I grind my teeth which makes 0 sense as I wear a night guard every night,. She hasn't followed through with any help with getting the jaw specialist. She hasn't helped fix the problem she created. She left me with $1200 bill for doing damage to my teeth and refused to refund that even though I now need to spend massive time and money to fix the problem she created. I've never been treated so unprofessionally by any medical professional and felt I needed to warn people.

They got an instrument STUCK between her teeth and tried to remove it with SCISSORS. She was in pain for days. And now, given what happened to me and her son, we're wondering if she had any cavities at all.
