I have had a bridge replaced when the old bridge needed to be replaced. It was very well done. Dr. Andersen was gentle and kind. I am a nervous patient from bad past experiences at other clinics. I've been going here for 7 years. Today I got very ill and had to go home from work. I called right away to tell them that I couldn't make my appointment and try to reschedule. I was told I wouldn't be able to get in for seven months and that they would charge me for not coming in. So now I have to choose between taking care of my health and being charged for being sick, on top of being sent home from work. Furthermore the person who answered the phone call, Jill, got mad at me for trying to reschedule and said "we don't care if you have a cold". Very rude. Not planning on returning. read more

I have been to Andersen Dental twice now...both were regular cleanings and exceptional experiences. Hands down it is the best dental office I've been to. It's not even close. Everyone from the Jill at the front desk to the hygienists and Dr. Andersen himself are super friendly and personable yet professional. There are little details that, to me, set them apart. At my most recent cleaning, my hygienist Kelly applied lip balm during the cleaning because lips tend to get chapped or dry from the process. I've never had that before. She was also very gentle while sticking sharp objects in my mouth. I had grown to expect some pain and bleeding from my history with other hygienists. Oh and they offer a flouride varnish to help protect your teeth, which was new to me. What's more, they gave me practical solutions to improve my mouth routine instead of scolding me for having bad genes. The first time I was there, the hygienist (I forget her name but was equally pleasant) told me that, based on my mouth and teeth, flossing doesn't do as good a job compared to the average mouth. No one had ever told me that. I was always told that I wasn't flossing correctly (even though I was). Or worse, they'd look at me like I was lying about flossing regularly. Anyway, she suggested I try the Waterpik as well as flossing. It has made a world of difference! I was pleasantly surprised when I came in the other day for my second cleaning and Kelly remarked that I had greatly "stepped up" my home-mouth-care game and it showed. Boo-ya! In addition to my recent original review, I've since been back to see Dr. Andersen & his team twice to have a very old crown replaced. Both appointments were a breeze & honestly the temporary crown they made for me was the nicest temp crown I've ever had! They did such a great job with the temp crown it looked & felt like permanent one. And the permanent crown is the best looking crown I've ever had, so much so I can't even tell it's a crown when I look at it. They are all truly fantastic team at Andersen Dental! read more

Long story short, I had a bad dental experience a handful of years ago & have avoided the dentist since then. The thought of going would give me a ton of anxiety. I knew I needed to get my teeth cleaned & figure out what current issues I had so I finally made an appointment with Dr. Andersen after I received his flyer in the mail. My whole experience was wonderful. From the front desk to the x-rays & cleaning with April, & then with Dr. Andersen. I told April I was having a bit of anxiety & she was so kind in asking me throughout my time there if I was doing okay. Her voice was calming. She is very good at what she does. During past cleanings, there has been so much tugging & pulling & the missing of the tools on my teeth which resulted in my gums being jabbed into but there was none of that. I anticipated having a panic attack but I felt calm for the most part aside from just low anxiety that came from my last experiences & not having been to the dentist in awhile. Both April & Dr. Andersen talked through everything they were doing which was helpful. At the end, he sat down & went over my treatment plan & was thorough in explaining & answering my questions. I met with the gal at the front desk to schedule my future appointments & she was also so patient & kind in going over everything & answering my questions. She looked up my dental plan & helped schedule my appointments so I could utilize & maximize all my benefits. I'm used to people telling me that it was my job to know my benefits & that I would have to call my insurance plan. Her willingness to look up the information & go over it was customer service above & beyond. I really appreciated that. It was a pleasant surprise & quite nice leaving my appointment feeling well & not anxious, in pain, or misunderstood. I was treated with respect & while I have a few upcoming appointments for some fillings & crowns that I'm not particularly looking forward to, I know I will be taken care of & will be in good hands. read more

Having just turned 65 and having insurance changes, I needed to find a dentist that would accept a new patient. I researched for hours, read reviews and made sure my new insurance was accepted. Then I called Anderson dental center to try and get an appt. I was told they were booked out to July, I asked if they had a cancelation list, as I only needed a cleaning. She then replied " I couldn't possibly put you before our regular patients." I didn't realize that's what I was asking..and would never assume that. I felt marginalized by age, or the fact that I have earned, through years if employment, my new healthcare. And later plain angry, that I have worked most of my life. Always able to take care of myself and my family. These great reviews before mine, certainly aren't applicable to my experience. It's an emotional time to retire, apply for SS, change healthcare providers and line up all the paperwork it entails. I hope this is a one time only experience. I just experienced my first implant from Dr Andersen and I can honestly say it was a breeze. I had to have a tooth extracted and an implant placed in my mouth of perfect teeth lol so needless to say I was a little apprehensive. I am definitely someone with a huge phobia about going to the dentist. As a kid in the 70's, dentists and procedures were much different. Even as an adult I struggled to find a dentist that I liked. In my early career I was in hospitality and rarely had dental insurance, so I didn't go often. When I did go I felt reprimanded and belittled for not seeing a dentist more often. I also never felt like my feelings or comfort mattered. Well, after almost 10am years since my last visit to the dentist, I had to go. We had just moved and I was looking for someone close by. I saw the reviews for Dr. Andersen, but was still very nervous. I am so relieved to say that Dr. Andersen, and the entire staff, are amazing! And...NO judgment! Dr. Andersen has a great "bedside" manner and he is also extremely skilled at what he does. I had several issues I had put off for years due to anxiety and Dr. Andersen has fixed them all. I feel relaxed and comfortable when I'm there. So much so that my family are all patients now, including my 8 year old son. If this guy (me) can feel comfortable there, anyone can. I had not been to the dentist in 8 years due to no insurance and also being too afraid. Growing up I had a rude dentist who just constantly lectured me which made going to the dentist even worse. I got Andersen's brochure in the mail which I felt was a sign that I need to drag myself to a dentist. The first day I went in to get my X-rays everyone was really nice and Dr.Andersen explained everything to me and helped me not to be as anxious. I just got a filling done and wow, it was the first time I have not felt the numbing shots at all! Dr. Andersen walked me through the process since I'm a 26 year old baby and have major anxiety. Honestly for my next appointment I probably wont be as afraid because he does his job so well. As a dental hygienist myself, I am a fanatic about cleanliness, timeliness and great chair side manner. I LOVED this office!! Coming into their suite, everything is very clean and inviting. I was greeted with a smile and caring disposition. Upon time to be seated the dental assistant reviewed my chart with compassion and didn't rush through the important stuff. She really took the time to be thorough with my complicated health history. The dentist and assistant really took the time to get to know me and my dental concerns, I didn't feel rushed or that I was just another body coming through their door. Dr. Andersen did a great job at addressing my concerns and did my dental cleaning himself. Since that is my field, I can honestly say he did a fantastic job!! He was gentle and very thorough. I have not been to the dentist in a long time and was a little nervous about going. I was worried about being lectured, but Dr. Andersen and his staff were great. He was so nice and calming and explained everything to me. I did have to get a couple fillings, but it was really fast and easy. I never felt any pain, not even the numbing injection. He must have really nice equipment because I could hardly hear the sound of the drill. I could tell he has taken every measure to make the experience as pleasant as possible. This was by far the best dental office and experience I ever had. From making an appointment to squeezing me in last-minute they were all very helpful. The office has got the latest and greatest, and I was very impressed with their equipment. It felt like I was at a 5-star luxury spa. I had a deep cleaning and had my wisdom teeth extracted in the past two weeks, and the whole staff was so personable. I'm a practicing physician and I was very impressed with Dr. Andersen's chair-side manner, explaining what was going on with my dental health, and discussing the options of what would be best for my dental health. You can tell he truly cares about patients and takes his time to be thorough. I wish more doctors were as caring and personable as Dr. Andersen. The dental hygienists Kayla and April were both fantastic, and Jill at the front desk made checking in and out super easy. It's now 1 day after all my wisdom teeth were extracted yesterday and I have no pain or problems. Dr. Andersen is an amazing dentist with great bedside manner. He was knowledgeable and sensitive to the fact I was pregnant but also able to perform the work needed in a safe matter. I found him on yelp to help fix a small problem after not wanting to commute an hour to my longtime dentist. As much as I hate to admit it, I actually fell asleep in the chair while getting a tooth ground down for a new crown. No pain... none. I've had teeth cleanings that left me sore for days, but not at the Andersen Dental Center, and the staff and Dr Andersen were not only very customer friendly, but excellent in knowledge, and technique; and the equipment is state of the art and radiation safer than any I've ever been exposed to. read more
