At that time, I was out of town. My 18-year-old and 16-year-old went in for teeth cleanings. They never called my husband or me to let us know that our insurance was outside of their network. They were supposed to call us and discuss everything before proceeding with the procedure. They told my 18-year-old that they had informed us about all procedures and payment options, but they never called us. Now, the front desk is telling me that my daughter is 18 years old and can sign any papers, even though they misled her by not informing us and having her sign the papers. My husband was out of work for nine months, and we were on Molina insurance. We had just set up our insurance and received calls to make appointments. For my dental treatment, they called me three times to schedule appointments. When I returned to the country and called to confirm, they told me we weren't covered with them, and I could not be seen. They could have done the same for my daughters. It was only a three-week difference between my girls' appointments and mine. How is it that they could see my daughters, but I couldn't be treated? They made a mistake. They didn't inform us that our insurance was out of network for Dental Designs. Now they want to send the bill to collections, even though we are not at fault. The front desk failed to make everything clear. PLEASE BEWARE OF THE SCAM DENTAL DESIGN IS PULLING. There must be many older people who don't even know they are being wrongly charged or given incorrect information. Having a 16-year-old sign payment papers is wrong. Telling false information to a 16- and 18-year-old is wrong.

Been a few years and work benefits kicked in (they take Delta) so I had decided to come here…read more I'd driven by before and seen the fancy cursive neon purple sign and totally thought it was uhh not one of those places for children, woops. Close enough I guess when everyone's sticking their fingers and probes in your mouth. Interior was nice, they put effort in making it a cozy little cabin-esque environment but of course that only lasts in the lobby. Similar to how they massage and give cows alcohol in Japan to butter them up before leading them to their doom. At Lacamas the "doom room" happens to be pretty good though. They give you sunglasses so you can look stylish to offset how silly you look when you're constantly staring up at them mouth wide open like a newborn bird. They also have TVs on the ceiling only Spiderman could've installed so that's impressive. You'll get to watch the food network so they can make you hungry while subsequently knowing you won't be able to eat for the next couple of hours. I appreciate the subtle sadism though. The X-Ray process is tedious as they'll take upwards of 20 pictures as opposed to my past experience of about 2-4, but on the plus side it'll definitely help some of you work on that shy gag reflex (Humblebrag: I only gagged once). My teeth aren't bad, just neglected. I always brush, but regrettably don't really floss. My work was mostly done by Kolby, as the newbie she was the deck-mate tasked with scraping barnacles off the bottom of the ship. One of the first things she told me was that I have some deep pockets and at first I found that to be a bit forward but then she clarified she meant my gums. So she got to the deep cleaning and damnnn she did a good job. She transformed my teeth into a channel 5 news anchor's, I'm out here lookin like Chip Skylark now with the unforeseen side-effect of singing about my shiny teeth and me. Kolby was very attentive, considerate, informative and FUNNY. She was able to hold a conversation well and keep me entertained (which ofc isn't her job) despite only hearing a version of English you might get from a disgruntled Ogre. @Mr. Bossman, whatever she's making, she's worth double (but I think at LEAST a 5% immediate raise is fair). And lowkey Michelle too bc she's like that mentor who journeys to the top of a Tibetan mountain in her free time who, when no one else can...she WILL. She found the spot to make me go numb that only a few people can ever say they've found. They said I'm special, which I already knew based on my mom and middle school bullies telling me, but apparently my mouth is more difficult to numb because of the placements of my bones and nerves or some shit, but they nailed it along with everything else! Anyway this place is great, the staff is great, the service is great. Will be happy to continue giving them my insurance's money!

The overall nuance of the place reminded me of my stay at the Howard-Johnson Hotel on the Disney strip in Anaheim, CA (it was a great experience). Since I was able to obtain my x-rays from the previous dental office, Oasis only required one more x-ray to get a different view of a bothersome tooth. It was a quick trip in & out, but I've never in my 40+ years of life been treated with such consideration in a dental office. I made the entire staff aware that I have anxiety, & they treated me with care w/o being patronizing. In my experience that's rare in most professional settings. I was referred to a specialist because of the extenuating circumstances, & Oasis isn't equipped for surgical procedures. I recommend Oasis, & I've decided that these folks are going to be stuck w/me as a patient for a very long time.

When I had my tooth implant done 2 years ago, two assistants spent 45 minutes trying to put in some metal part right before the dentist installed the final implant. I finally had enough and requested that Dr. Owen do it because I almost swallowed the metal part if I didn't catch it. 2. After a year of pushing me to get a night guard so that my implant can last longer, according to Dr. Owen, I finally agreed to have it, which cost me $300 last November. I couldn't get used to it for a couple of months, and I set it aside. I spent $300 for it, and I can't just let it sit, so I finally forced myself to wear it nightly for one week in March this year, and I noticed that my gums were swollen and inflamed. So I went back to have Dr. Owen check, and I learned that the inflammation was caused by the ill-fitting of the nightguard that dug into my gums. However, I could feel a big gap after the adjustment; it doesn't fit like it should have been, but I didn't complain to them during my recent cleaning in May. I received a bill today stating that I needed to pay $54 out of the $108 billed to the insurance company as an "Evaluation " charge in March. I called and questioned "why I'm responsible for paying for the 'evaluation' that was made to adjust for the ill-fitting of the night guard. They said they had to charge for the evaluation first before they could adjust the night guard, which shocked me to hear that. If they had scanned the mold correctly to begin with, I wouldn't have had to go through the pain in my gums and return for such adjustment on the nightguard, would I? What's the cause and the effect of this visit ? Was it me who caused the swollen/ inflamed gums or was the effect of ill-fitting nightguad I ordered from them ? I always pay my bills but I can't pay for something that's not caused by me. During my recent visit I expressed my concerns of the quality of their stuff under previous owner, and I was going to give them a chance to stay with them for the new ownership uder Dr. Owen. Now I will definitely go somewhere because of their unfair billing practices.

You can tell he takes pride in his work really wants the best possible outcome. He's especially good at developing a rapport with kids to put them at ease. He has five kids of his own -- so that connection comes easily for him. He's a smart guy, but takes the time to make sure we understand the procedure, any alternatives, pros/cons, and anticipated outcomes. I've learned that dentistry is an increasingly competitive profession. As a result, many dentists seek to supplement their revenue by performing work that has traditionally been done by oral surgeons. Most dentists don't have the specialized training required of oral surgeons. If you need your wisdom teeth removed or other complex procedures, you're far better off using an oral surgeon. Beacon OMS seems like an outstanding group of professionals and Dr Rehrer gets my highest recommendation.
