She has a little bit of everything, toys, books, games, clothing, outdoor toys, sensory, wall decor, starter plants, movies, kids furniture, so much more. I went to the Helm down the road and they were 1000% more friendly and had what I needed and more and even said they would text me when they received the stock of the items I wanted that they did not have.

You know what seems cheap? I'll tell you what -- when you pay over $180 for a pair of trousers,…read moreonly to be told that because they're on sale for over 50% off the stupidly high original list price and/or they're on final clearance from the soon-to-close West Edmonton Mall location, the trousers can't be hemmed at no extra charge. This isn't the first time I've had a bad experience with clearance or sale trousers here, either, as one time I purchased a pair of trousers that were eligible to be hemmed at no extra charge, and the sales associate serving me completely failed to mention that to me at all and I paid to have them hemmed elsewhere. A suggestion to Henry Singer, if I may: just make the hemming of trousers complementary no matter the price, sale or no sale. What you do now seems both selective and cheap, making your company appear to be tight-fisted . That may not be your intention, but that's how it looks in my eyes.

The store makes me feel like I've walked into some wealthy lady's dressing room. Clothes everywhere. Lingerie everywhere. Decorations everywhere. Kids toys. Housewares. Every time I go in I just want to lounge on the settee and have my servants cater to my every whim. OK, back to reality. As mentioned, Anthropologie is a hodge podge (I mean that in a good way) of clothing, decor and books. The clothes can be a bit over the top but the closer you look the more likely you'll find something of interest. The cool thing is they also have kids toys and housewares. It's almost a one stop shop. Another dose of reality is their prices. They're on the high side, but like many things in life you get what you pay for. Often times you can find the decor items at a better price, but by the time you find (if you even do) you'll likely have spend that much in time and effort. If you have eclectic tastes go here and have a feast of eye candy.

Looking for a suit, I decided to check out Laura since they had a sale of extra 20% off sale items and with my Laura card, I would save an extra 10% off. I like they have a large Petite section as well. I went on an early morning so it didn't seem there were many sales people. I grabbed a handful of clothes and the saleslady started a fitting room for me. When I tried them on, I went to grab another size as I'm sure she was busy with other customers. I decided on a suit and went to pay. I was returning a top, so she had to get the manager to ring in my sale. When I was in the line up, I saw at least 2 other sales staff on the other side of the store who were standing around. It would have been nice if I received some service while in the fitting room. For a top, pants, and suit jacket it was just over $200 which is quite reasonable for something I know will last years to come. In this shopping experience the price was good but the service wasn't. It seems to be the trend these days.

Sometimes though, you have to choose practicality over fashion. They also tend to have a lot of inventory left over for their seasonal clearance sale, so it's a very opportune time to get something then. I like the sales staff here. We arrived on time and once they confirmed our appointment the salesguy was very patient and personable. He also offered us free water. We probably did not need an appointment to just look at fabric and current blazer styles. Many bright/colorful options which we had trouble finding at other stores. Was quoted ~2,500 for a blazer in our chosen fabric - YIKES. Price includes full lining, if you opt out of lining you still pay full price. Our chosen fabric would take 6-8weeks (not including final fitting) but another fabric choice would have been closer to 3-5weeks. Also the fabric people take a month off in the summer - usually August he said so he said if you do not order Before August it will be a 4 week wait for them to be able to order again. Overall we did not go with a custom blazer from here, due to the price but maybe one day! The other clothing sold here is very high end = pricey.
