It's not in an area that I pass by often but I has an appointment nearby and as I was parking I spotted the sign. Luckily I was 20 mins early, giving me the perfect place to kill time! The store is underneath some apartments but tokes over half of the ground level by the looks of it. A fantastic big space, filled from top to bottom with vintage treasures. The owner does a great job creating cute corners highlighting furniture, decor, ornaments and clothing. I immediately wished I had more time to browse! The clothing is divided into rails of amazing dresses from the Victorian era and more. The underskirt section was unreal and made me wanna dress like a steam punk to my meeting. So cool. Lots of eclectic and romantic bits for a vintage wedding. Just wonderful.

But I have to say this store has survived and is now located near Sobey's in St. Albert. It's got its own strip mall space. I admire it simply for it's staying power. The clothing has improved somewhat over the years. I've browsed it a few times in the past and thought I'd see what they've got now. They still have lots of bejeweled articles of clothing which I am not a fan of. Still the demographic of this shop doesn't include my age group, more like double that. So, what's better now? They carry Jones New York which I thought was pretty impressive. This store seems to cater more to retired women. A good sign though was that the clearance racks are where the bulk of the polyester was. So maybe that's a sign of things to come.

They are located next door to the Grandin Bakery in the same strip mall as Famoso and Reitman's. The store was clean, well organized, and even had candies for kiddos. The sales lady was friendly and knowledgeable. The quote for our iPhone 5c screen was $140 (in the ballpark of other places we found online). We ended up holding out for a Black Friday sale but I would definitely return here again! Hopefully for preventable reasons like a screen protector ;-)

FYI - these offer the LEAST amount of support. The assortment of bras that they had in my size was minimal. The store seems to have a hodge-podge of items. I saw jewellery, a purse and misc. 'love shop' lotions. After finding the item I needed to go with a gown (lower cut, smooth) I wanted something for day-to-day wear with good support. I was sent out into the shop to shuffle through the racks to find things in my size. It's not my favourite way of doing things, and I can get disappointed when I see something I like, but it's not in my size. I ended up trying on 4 bras that 'met' my criteia (support & light coloured) so I didn't really think that was a great selection. In the end, I purchased the ol' stand by that I tend to pick up every now and again. The price was comparable to what I've paid at other boutiques in the past. The ladies there were friendly enough, but not overly educated on fit. It takes a lot of experience to get good in this business. Recently I discovered two things in there I never knew about before: 1. There is a sale section at the back of the store - so far back - I thought it was the changing room so get round there and have a peek! 2. There is a hat collection!
