I brought this to the attention of the associate present (3135575) And she presented a cavalier attitude about the cleanliness of the store. I asked the associate if she could get a clean one from the back while I was at the till. She went and grabbed the wrong shirt from the back. Now, not only did I receive a rude, unprofessional experience, I will now have to go back to this store to get an exchange for the wrong product. Steer clear of this Banana Republic. the Airport location is a better alternaitive.

She kept insisting it was her decision to decline the exchange, although the receipt clearly states store credit or exchange past 30 days. I wasn't mad until she decided to answer the phone whilst I was explaining I already knew the terms of returns and exchanges. If the area team reads this message, I strongly recommend you connect with her on how to appropriately address customer complaints and maybe let her read the back of the receipt so she knows what hill to make a stand on. Absolutely abhorrent service.

I wear plus size clothes (usually 16-18 depending on the store and brand) and like a lot of stores…read more(see my review for Simons) I didn't think H&M had a plus size section. Apparently they do, and my friend and I went to the H&M in West Ed because we figured the store and selection would be better than South Common. There isn't a huge selection of plus size clothes, but there is a bit, and H&M always has nice basics and trendy pieces too. One thing I love about H&M, no matter what dress size you might be, is the accessories. There are a lot of fun jewellery, purses, scarves, etc and the prices being pretty low it's pretty easy to go overboard and buy quite a bit. Of course the prices being so low this isn't exactly high quality long lasting items, but I tend to break, lose, rip, tear, etc. any accessories I get anyway so spending $12 on a scarf that I'll eventually lose at H&M seems better than spending $100 for a high-end scarf somewhere else. Aside from clothes and accessories the other thing H&M has that I didn't realize they carried are home decor products. This section isn't as big as the regular clothing and accessory section, but there are a variety of fun home decor items you can get, from bedspreads to aprons. West Ed isn't a place I particualrly like to go to, but if I'm here I'll check out H&M again.

Staff here are friendly and helpful, though keep in mind that they don't seem to always open right on time according to their posted hours. Keep an eye out for occasional end-of-season sales, there are often gems to be found for great prices.

I've heard a little bit about Banana Republic but never had any desire to check out their store,…read morebut while I was wondering around Southgate Shopping Center I felt adventurous enough to step inside their store and take a look at what they have. I thought the store was pretty big but they didn't seem to have a lot of clothes; they had large, wide-open spaces. I guess their motto is less is more. I have to say that I liked the men's section much better than the woman's. I would totally pick up something from the men's side to dress up some guy I know who would fit that style. There were some really nice sweaters for men on sale for about $44.99. They were solid colors with a V-neck; they were nice. They also had some nice dress shirts and ties for men; the ties are about $60 a piece. The women's side was a little shocking! They had some lager-sized bags that were $125. For the style I didn't think the price justified it. The style looked really sloppy; like somebody used zigzag patterned scissors to cut the top of the bag and added some handles to it and called it a bag. What I'm saying is it's not my style. I think my style is like their store; less is more! They had some nice clothes for women but they were not my style. I think I need to grow up a little more before I would buy some of their clothes and actually feel comfortable wearing them. Their prices were just too pricy for me; I found some tank tops for $25 each. The places I usually shop at tank tops are 2 for $25. The staff seemed nice enough but they didn't ask me if I needed anything. Perhaps they new I wasn't looking to buy anything so they didn't bother with me. There was one woman who was running around helping a customer and she seemed nice and friendly. Their store was really well kept and organized. I felt out of place and too scared to touch anything! Perhaps I scare to easily.

As I do reside on the Southside, and Southgate is my absolute fave mall in the city, this is my go-to BR. The customer service is always great. The staff is helpful without being too on you. And the change rooms are large with a 3 sided mirror at the end of all the rooms. The style of clothes at Banana is somewhat chic, very preppy and mostly consists of muted tones (lots of blacks, whites, tans, grays). Bold colours and crazy patterns are not to be found in this store! Season after season the clothes keep the same "feel" to them. They always use really think, structured material which I really look for in clothing - I hate thin, flimsy materials, especially for pants, shorts, blazers and jackets. Speaking of jackets, this is a great place to get a cute blazer or trench coat. But my main reason for heading into the BR, on most trips is the shiny, blingy things! They have great costume jewelry. I have many large, chunky, statement necklaces that I have bought at various locations over the years. As well cool cocktails rings, and a few bracelets. Pro Tip: When Banana has a sale, they REALLY have a sale! Join their mailing list because every 2 or 3 months they have a day or weekend when everything that is currently on sale is an additional 40% off, and they email it out when this happens. I have bought $100 pants for $20! Score!

Well, looking at the clothes was enough fun for me. They have really cute stuff here from brands like Bench, Gentle Fawn, and Kidrobot. I really liked the women's jackets they had here; they were casual and sporty, but still cute and feminine (not too girly). I also fell in love with a cute handbag, but not with its price, unfortunately. There are clothes and accessories for both guys and gals here, and everything is a sporty/casual and modern chic style. Nothing is preppy or frilly. They also have an entire front section of shoes, with brands like Nike and Lacoste; most of them are sneakers, or flats for women. I don't know how I was able to miss their audio section ... guess that means I'll be going back! I just hope I don't cave in and buy another jacket ... they're cool but out of my price range here.
