Had the pleasure of seeing Moon Taxi and Sparkle City Disco here on 9/4/2021. First live music show since the pandemic started and it was much needed and rewarding! Very impressed by Sparkle City Disco as the opening act as they played classic disco infused by their own styles. Moon Taxi was amazing as well. They get the crowd into their shows and the energy was off the charts. As for the venue, the shows are on the second floor so be prepared to climb some steps. It has a bar and merchandise table next to the stage and there's plenty of standing room to watch the performance. Standing only from what I saw so wear your most comfortable shoes. Location is in EaDo next to a few bars and eats so it makes for an adventurous night in town. Look forward to more shows here; now they need to book some solid upcoming artists! read more

This music venue has been here for years and I've seen a few concerts at this location. I saw Belami in the small room a few years ago. That was a very intimate setting and I enjoyed it. I've also been to a couple concerts in the big room like Miguel and most recently Masego. The bigger room is one huge space. It has two bars, one on either side of the stage. You also can go into the smaller room to get drinks in that bar as well. It has a lot less foot traffic and the bathroom in that side is typically cleaner than the main room. Drinks prices are average to what most lounges charge. $8 for a 16 oz beer can and around $15-17 for a drink. Depends on what you get. More if it's a double. You have to get there really early to have time to park and get close enough for a good view. Parking can be crazy and expensive especially if there is an Astros game or a dynamo games going on that day. Sunday there was a soccer game and it took us about 40 min to park. We looked for street parking first, which there was none. And all the lots were up charging because of the games. The one closest to this venue was charging $30! So we found one like 4 blocks away for $15. Wear some real comfortable shoes with good cushion and arch support because you will be standing the whole time. It honestly sucks being short or average height trying to fight for a view. You have to get there right when doors open in order to get close enough to have a fighting chance at having a good view. But who wants to stand for an hour before a concert starts? Doors opened at 7. By the time we got ready, found parking, waited in like and got inside it was about 8:30 and the first act had already started. I've tried to do the window thing where you stand in the middle behind too people. I was able to see for a little while but people of course jam, dance and move. So I couldn't see the whole time. I've had instances where people push past you to get closer and it makes the space tight. At least the sound is good. So even though I couldn't see the whole time, I heard the music clearly. Masego was awesome! I love his music. And I love when artists sound the same as they do when they record music. He is super talented. read more

I'm so disappointed to be leaving this review. I was very excited to visit the new Warehouse Live after enjoying many shows at the EaDo location for years. If you don't get in line for a show early to get up front, good luck getting a spot where you can actually see the stage. The entrance was terribly placed and you're forced to walk through the crowd. There are balconies above the floor but all views are obstructed unless you are fully leaning over. Staff was very kind. But it was seriously the worst design for a concert venue I've been to in my life. I wish I was exaggerating. read more

While I did not get to actually attend at this venue, their practices are incredibly unprofessional. They left me scrambling for information for MONTHS. For a venue that had non-refundable tickets (at least for this show), you sure couldn't get any information. When searching up information on this venue, there was little to no information about accessibility on site or off-site besides that the venue is "wheelchair accessible" and offered a phone number with an extension to further discuss details with staff. Although, please be aware, I didn't get to see the accessibility of this particular venue but wheelchair accessible does not mean ADA compliant and what works for some, may not work for others. I tried calling both the general number and the extension many times, attempting to call the box office, as well as several managers to no avail. The phones always sent to voicemail and then go figure, the voicemail box was full. I even reached out to the box office manager's email, and still got no reply. It took me to personally email the general manager to get any semblance of an answer and even then they were being painstakingly vague. Even when I pushed and asked **HOW** they would be willing to accommodate I was met with a dismissive "we can make it work." Like... huh?? Even when mentioning the show being moved, no one let me know until the band announced it day of. And according to Warehouse Live's posts it was out of the artist and venue's control, but this is apparently a frequent scenario with Warehouse Live redirecting to RISE Rooftop. So personally, I'm leaning toward there's probably something to do with the venue. read more

I've been to so many shows at WHL over the years. I've seen shows in both the Studio and the Ballroom (I prefer the Studio). I hadn't been to WHL since before the pandemic so I was looking forward to coming back. This place is pretty much the same as it's always been. The one difference is the raised VIP area near the sound board. I'm not sure how long that's been there, but it looks like it may be worth spending the extra money. It's a raised platform with a couple of reserved tables. The drinks are still pretty reasonably priced. A Deep Eddy with tonic is $8 which is less than House of Blues. The music was really loud last night. The sound was more clear on the left side. We saw Teddy Swims and he was fantastic! Security is much more relaxed than at HOB. They don't check vaccine cards and don't have any mask rules. They barely search your bag and they didn't have any explicit bag size policies like HOB. We were able to get street parking since it was a Tuesday night. We had parked in a lot next door, but the parking was $20 so we went and moved the car. The lot had a pay station so it wasn't advertised that it was $20 until we went to put in the license plate info. I'm glad that WHL survived the pandemic. It's one of my preferred music venues in Houston. read more

I liked this place. It's a quaint venue in a good part of town but I have one huge caveat regarding it. You need seats. I have issues standing for long periods of time and without the vip seats I would be miserable. The vip seats were legit. Good views of the bands. But like I said it's not huge, bring your ear protection. They like it loud in there. Bathrooms were clean and everyone was polite. Would come back to a show, no problem. read more

This is not the current location. It's now off of Travis and McGowen. They offer valet. We didn't use the valet. I went for a concert. Super packed. They did give drink vouchers and we tipped. The problem was the venue layout. The old location you could stand on the left side of the bar and be elevated and still see a show. This venue offers zero vantage points. I'm sure I will be back. Just not what I would expect. Also you have to take two flights of stairs to get in. Maybe missed an elevator. I did think of disabled people when I saw the entrance. Shows are oversold to capacity, impossible to enjoy a drink or go to the bathroom at the show due to the quantity of people inside. Security is super rude. read more

Didn't try any food, but they offered pizza and tacos outside provided by Antoine's. Ambiance was great this Venus allows you to stand as close to the stage as you can. So get there early. You can purchase table but that's a waster in my opinion because they have blocked view after the crowd is there. read more

Went to the Scarface concert, and you could not see crap!! They had all these TVs, and they did not have the intuition to show him on any of them other than the one behind him. So disappointed!! Did not eat any food The people who checked us in were kind Atmosphere was cool It was packed, but you could not see anything worth seeing. read more

After many years of passing by Warehouse Live but never going in, last night marked the first time I caught a show there. My friend's band, Channel K, held a party celebrating the release of their sophomore album, Super Queen, in the venue's Green Room. I've heard a lot of good things regarding Warehouse so I had this impression that it's one of Houston's best places to watch a concert. I was proven right when I entered a clean, spacious yet intimate and ambient hall. The bar was well-stocked and nicely managed, the restrooms showed no sign of filth, and everyone from the bouncer to the woman who handled the lighting and sound was friendly. Because this is a music spot, allow me to comment on the audio quality. Excellent, as Mr. Burns would say. Each performance was delivered loud and clear. I could've sworn that the walls were sound-proof since the hip-hop show in the main ballroom didn't reverberate into the Green Room. Regardless, I found myself enjoying the catchy, power-packed ditties of my friends and their musical comrades. Though the room was nearly SRO, the attendees got a good glimpse of the stage. Truly a benefit of a small space. I should mention that when Channel K performed, the band fittingly bathed in blue lights since blue was one of the primary colors of their new album. This coincidental effect allowed me to take solid pictures and video. Throughout the night, I couldn't help but wonder how the area, known as EaDo, sprung to life. As recent as a decade ago, you had to be crazy to even as much as drive though the vicinity of Warehouse. It'll be beyond insane around these parts if/when the Astros get in the World Series since Minute Maid Park is a few blocks down. I'd like to return for a show in the ballroom. Maybe when it's not too hot. read more

Very nice venue. This place is standing room only so dress cute but comfortable. They have a full bar and the prices are very reasonable. Some lightning is nice as well. There is not any food options and you can not bring in outside food or drinks. read more

I go to concerts all the time so I've checked out pretty much every major venue in the Houston area. They all have their pros and cons. Warehouse Live is located in the heart of EaDo close to a bunch of bars and restaurants including Truck Yard, Rodeo Goat, Lucky's, and more. I've now been to Warehouse Live twice. Once for the Buckcherry concert and the other time for a lingerie fashion show hosted by Adam & Eve lol. Since this is EaDo, your best bet is finding parking on the street. I like places like Warehouse Live for concerts because they're intimate venues. You're not there with tons of people like you would be at Cynthia Woods or the Toyota Center. With a general admission ticket, you can get close to the stage and be front and center for the performance. I'd compare Warehouse Live to venues like House of Blues and White Oak. They also have reasonable prices for drinks. While you won't see a lot of headliners at Warehouse Live, they do bring in bands I'm interested in on occasion. I had tickets for the POD/Hinder/Puddle of Mudd/Drowning Pool/Trapt festival this past weekend but it's been postponed until October with all of this coronavirus business going down. Went to warehouse live last night to Yngwie, the sound was horrible. beyond loud, inaudible noise. The sound was a joke. The show was not fun. and the security guard was worried about a walkway the entire time kept moving people out of the walkway. total Buzzkill do not recommend this place at all read more

Came here for the trap karaoke event. There was a ton of parking across the street for only $5. The space inside is great. There was a bar serving drinks at a pretty decent price, so I drank up. The show was pretty fun and ended with a performance from Trae. read more

We saw Megan Moroney Friday. The staff at this venue is of the best I have encountered. From bartenders, to security, to the people putting bracelets on. Everyone we encountered was so helpful and pleasant. But the real star is Paige, the manager. She was hounded by my 14 year old daughter for a couple of hours in the line. She answered all her questions, visited with her, made her feel special. Paige gets all the gold stars in our book! We look forward to visiting the new location! read more

Let me begin by saying we really love this venue. We've been to a handful of shows and enjoyed them all. Recently, we witnessed Gary Numan. The SOUND was AH-mazing! However, they put him up in the smaller side of the space. Stage about a foot off the floor. The act barely above eye-level...and then there was the light show. It was behind Gary, shining onto the audience. As a migraine sufferer, I have never been so irritated. Thank goodness, my vest created a hood to shield my eyes. A fellow concert goer used her beanie to shield her eyes. A jet could land in dense fog with those light sticks! Bar staff is great. Be warned...PEPSI-like products. Beer selection is good. I came for Electro Bounce: Soul Control. We were in one of the side rooms, I don't know which one, but it was perfect for the event. The fans were blasting and saving my life! The DJs were perfect. The music was giving me life and everyone was there to have a good time. I loved it. Important to note, the bathroom was clean, there was toilet paper AND hand soap. It's really the little things lol. Apparently there was a rave in the main area but I didn't hear a thing, so clearly the sound-proofing is top notch. I like it, Picasso. read more

But before you purchase your ticket online or over the phone, know that there's a $8 service fee per ticket. Great, intimate venue for bands and events! I love this place. The last four times I have attended concerts have been wonderful. It's still one of Houston's best kept secrets for a live music attraction. The venue in itself has a maximum capacity of 2500, smaller than most live music/concert venues in Houston. They have two bars that are located in the main stage area, a smaller area called the Green Room with a separate bar, and a studio area, as well. The set up for concerts here is usually general admission and standing room only. I found the drink prices during the shows have been fairly reasonable as compared to others in the area. The venue doesn't serve food, so don't come to the shows hungry. The sound and lighting has improved over the course of the last year or so, thus I'm do not understand the previous reviews and comments regarding the sound system. I attended a heavy metal concert here this past weekend, and the sound and lighting were excellent. Parking was even more reasonable. If you come early and when the doors open, usually an hour before the concert, off street parking options are avaykabit. Otherwise, the parking lots around the area are usually at $5-7 per car. read more

The Greenroom is a cute space that allows for a very intimate feel that is unattainable from larger music venues. It's basically a general admission standing room only, which make it very difficult to see the performer especially since the stage is very close to the ground. It's a bit harder to hear some of the music even from the 4th row(ish), but that may not have been a fault of the venue. The bartender was sweet enough, but the drinks had literally no alcohol and were served in tiny opaque white cups. Not a very classy vibe at all and it was a complete rip off - pregame the event if you must. read more

First time and I must say that is a great spot for the new up and coming artist. I went to see Amine' and even though it was standing rooming only there are no bad spots. The section I was in was the ballroom, which is a nice size, 2 bar. Due to the concert being all ages you needed to get a band of over 21 and drinking. Came to the Ballroom last night for a show and had an OK time. First, the venue is pretty darn bare bones. In the main standing area, it basically feels like you're inside a giant concrete block or something. There was a little elevated VIP area behind the general admission area, but the cost of a table was pretty exorbitant so I didn't even consider sitting there :) The bar was OK - it had a pretty normal beer selection (all the standards plus a few random craft beers) and the prices weren't crazy. Not sure who to blame, but the sound was not great for the second opener or the main act. Microphones were cutting out or were too quiet and it was hard to distinguish the different instruments in the mix. I still had a good time, but other venues in the area definitely have had better sound. Overall, I would come back here to see a show if the price was right and I liked the band :) But I don't know if I would go out of my way to return here. read more

Parked a block away for $15 for the SG Blackheart Burlesque show (fantastic set - great time and beautiful women!). The venue is a bit small and, for the show I attended, most of the floor was a reserved seated area. The general admission bar had two taps: Bud-something and it-was-mediocre-so-I-don't-remember-the-name going for $6.50 a cup. The bathroom wasn't very clean, but there were enough stalls to pick and choose from. A thumbs up for no smoking inside the venue. read more

This is an all around pretty cool concert venue in Houston. Enjoyed last nights show, wasn't overly crowded, staff was friendly, had access to the liquid gold counter with complete ease (Beers $4). I've been coming to the Warehouse since I was in high school. I've seen many different acts here, from artists on the comeup to big names. Standing room only, which makes for a more authentic concert experience, in my opinion. I rarely have a bad time. Mostly because I choose my concerts wisely. I've also been here for events like fashion shows and art expositions. The venue is cool. There are two different rooms, and the bigger one is reserved for bigger artists and events. If you're willing to walk for a few minutes, you can find free parking a couple of blocks away. Anyway, Drake got his big break here, so it's good enough for me! read more

I used to this place because they didn't rip you off like House of Blues .it seems they just want to rip people off now . One of the two bars in the ballroom is now just for VIP ticket holders. I waited over a half hour on line for drinks during the show . That is ridiculous . I'm to make it worse the VIP section was sold out so I didn't even have the option to upgrade so I didn't have to wait on line . Came here last night for the most interesting show in the world presented by Dos Equis. It was nice that the event was free. It was delayed, scheduled to start at 8 pm but didn't get going until closer to 9 pm. They gave free XX beer all night. As far as the venue itself, it's clean, but like Danielle S said it's basically just a big open room. I haven't been to many live events so it's nice to find venues where you can come for concerts and such. read more

I prefer this over House of Blues in terms of venue. However they don't seem to book too many good bands, but when they do, the show is good. Plenty of standing room (limited seating if any, but who wants to sit at a rock concert anyways). They should adjust start times to start earlier, especially on weekday-nights. The last show we went to, doors were at 7 (they didn't actually open until after that), opener didn't get started until at least 8, and headline didn't start until after 9. Shifting it up an hour or two would be better. Keep in mind when you're thinking about going, that the Ballroom is the larger room, and the Studio is significantly smaller (for less popular bands). I've seen concerts in both, and both are great, albeit a different experience. read more

Oh and their low rate security is more aggressive than the TSA and their jobs actually make a difference. Be prepared to pay $10-15 for parking at a lot with people who more than likely stole their orange vest from a construction site. If you don't have to see a show here, don't. Not worth it. read more

I guess its not the club fault but 27$ for a concert that lasted about 30 minutes. It had to be about 6 opening acts before 8 ball amf MJG came out. It was suppose to start at 10 but they came out at 12:45am and finished at 1:20 am. Ummmm i don't think I will be back. Warehouse Live is my favorite concert venue in Houston and coincidentally 2 blocks from my place. They always have great acts. Security can be a pain, but they don't take away from the experience. I've seen a variety of performers here -The Internet, Allen Stone, Kendrick Lamar and Mos Def just to name a few. For bigger acts, early arrival is suggested as the line starts as early as 6am the day of. Warehouse is a standing-only venue, so keep that in mind. If you are in the back, chances are you're going to be in a crowd and hot. If you have to leave for any reason, you're going to lose your spot if you don't know how to bogart.When my favorite artists tour, I pray that they go to Warehouse because it's truly a great place to hear live music. read more

Finally made it out to Warehouse Live to catch the awesome Gaslight Anthem. The prices are about twice that of Walter's, but the atmosphere is probably twice as nice. Tickets were still available at the door, but if you're afraid of a sell-out, they're available in advance from the website. There's actually two venues at Warehouse Live; I went to the main stage so that's what this review is about. There's two bar areas, and at both there's generally no line or at most, a minimal wait. Bartenders are friendly, drinks are served in plastic cups. Classy. There's almost no seating, but we got to snag a prime spot on one of the plush couches towards the back. Other than that, it's pretty much a wide open "warehouse" with plenty of concrete standing space. The acoustics are awesome, so even from the back, audio wasn't a problem. "Back" is also relative; you can still make out facial expressions on the band members. But if you're interested in getting up close and personal, you can get as close as you want, just like Walter's. The only downside to this place is the isolated location. Unlike Walter's, where you can walk out during intermission and get a drink at Pearl Bar, Chaise Lounge, etc., before heading back, here when you're in Warehouse, you're in Warehouse. There's Lucky's Pub nearby, but that's about your only option. There's entrepreneurs operating paid lots around Warehouse, but if you're fine with walking there's plenty of street parking. I still prefer the dive bar feel of Walter's and its proximity to the nightlife at Washington, but whenever an awesome band like Gaslight Anthem pops up, I wouldn't mind heading out to Warehouse either. read more

I came here the other night for my first concert at the venue. The show started at 8pm and had 2 openers but the headliner didn't go on until 10:45pm!! I felt that was super late, especially for a week night (maybe I'm too old for concerts or something, but I had planned to be heading home around then). Overall - the experience inside was alright, I feel like since it's indoors they could have a few tables in the bar area or something just in case people need a break from being in the crowd. In addition, they don't have any kind of security inside - people were smoking all kinds of things inside and the smell of the combined smoke and sweat made me feel extremely nauseous. I know it's hard to regulate that kind of stuff in a concert, but this was indoors, and you could clearly see where the large clouds of smoke were coming from within the crowd! I would come back here if it's a band I really like, but definitely learned my lesson about coming to the show early and being stuck in a crazy stinky crowd! read more

Hard to put a review on a place that is basically a big barn, particularly when we bought no drinks, etc. However, I think WL is a great venue to see a band you really like, because the opportunity for a close spot is very good if you arrive early. You must REALLY like the band because -- well, you'll be standing all night on a concrete floor. Was worth it for us -- loved the close contact and more intimate size (while still big enough to attract some non-trivial acts). Can't comment on the A/C, since we did a winter visit, but temp was fine for our (packed) concert. Sound was fine (and loud) in our particular spot -- I suspect from the other reviews that it varies widely based on location and particular show. We'd definitely return for a favorite band. Decent parking available in the area, though nothing particularly secure. read more
