Which worked perfectly since she ate the extra a quac with her chips! The portions are generous - the only negative was the pita was either stale or way over toasted as it was extremely hard. We prefer the quaintness of the GHG vs the long waits at the bigger local places!

We've had a variety of breakfast dishes.. all are DELICIOUS!!! The best part of all our time here is definitely Laurie. She's the heart and soul of our dining experiences. She's great at reading her customers - when to order, when we're finished, the bill...etc. Highly recommended!!

Friendly, attentive, professional and knowledgeable. Consistently! The cocktail list is small but good, and my cucumber tequila drink was fantastic. The second one was just as good. The ahi tuna tacos disappeared almost before I could get a picture lol. My wife had the ahi tuna entree with the crispy rice, which she loved. I had the lobster fra diavlo which also was quite tasty. I was a little surprised it wasn't more crowded on the Saturday of Labor Day weekend. It's a very comfortable place, but can be a bit noisy when the restaurant and bar are full. The brunch menu looks good too, one day we will give brunch a try.

Ambiance. Overlooking the golf course and the bay, the view at sunset was majestic. Combined with how elegant the interior setting was, total A+. 3. Drinks. Good cocktails and a fantastic Gin and Tonic ( not pictured here-it was so good I just bypassed the pics asap lol). 4. Caesar Salad: very crisp and fresh romaine with fantastic anchovies and these cheese crisps that were so very tasty. 5. Duck. Perfect taste, texture, with a tomato jus and a purée of parsnip underneath that was fantastic. 6. Sweet potato beignets. Oh...my...God! This is an appetizer but could/should be a dessert. So sweet and served with bacon jam. Amazing! 7. Pear and salted caramel layer cake. Wow! My wife and I highly enjoyed this. It's a pear compote with a spiced cake in the middle. Well worth it and definitely a place we will come back to when we are back in Traverse City. Very highly recommended.

I sent it back the first time, the waitress never offered anything while I waited for my second steak... so my whole family was able to finish their meal before I got mine. No extra bread.. no soup... no salad... just hungry. Had to eat all my sides without my steak. Honestly I should've asked for the quality of the steak. Definitely was something under Prime cut. $12 kids butter parm noodle... came in a tiny soup bowl. Barely enough Parmesan to even see. So tasteless. Are you serious? At least salt the water. This was probably the worst of it. I got bamboozdled on a pasta dish I could've easily made at home for $1. Sides- The shiitake mushrooms were an absolute disgrace. They were literally so tasteless and dry! Roasted with no herbs, seasoning or allium. Potato Pavé was good. We ordered 2. It's definitely not a "shareable" size side. Come for the cocktails and view. Not for the food.

Great service, great view, great food!…read more We accidentally ordered three cheese dishes and only realized once they came out but honestly do not regret it at all! The French onion soup was quite good. Saw a lot of reviews recommending it so felt we had to try it. It is definitely a very rich, salty, intense soup so it might be good to share so you don't get sick of it but it was delicious. The pepperoni pizza was a good pizza but nothing crazy or special about it. Good size for two or three people to share with some other dishes. The star of the dinner was the lobster Mac n cheese. I really thought it was delicious. A healthy amount of lobster in it and very creamy. If I came back I would definitely get the lobster Mac n cheese again. It was also good as leftovers the next day :) Our server was very attentive and kind. We came in within an hour of closing and never felt rushed at all. Beautiful place to see the sunset over the harbor.

The highlight of what was ordered was the French Onion Soup and the Chicken Sandwich and excellent sweet potato fries. The kid burger good. Now the not so good. The Detroit Beef Sandwich (their French Dip) meat was fatty and substandard. The Seafood Chowder should be renamed Potato Chowder, was mostly big chunks of potato, barely any broth and small bits of seafood if one looked hard enough. It tasted OK, but for $14.00 I want Seafood, not a bowl of potatoes. The Pan Sauteed Wallaye could have been good, very fresh but swimming in too much olive oil or? Asparagus was cooked appropriately, but swimming in the same stuff. Just a soggy dish. Haven't been here since 2021, don't think we will be back even on a sunny day for their great bay view.

We had wanted to sit on the rooftop to enjoy the views but it wasn't opening until 4PM so we didn't get to experience that. The clam chowder was on special so I ordered that to start with some peel and eat shrimp, cold- you can get them hot or cold and they were perfectly done and the cocktail sauce wasn't so strong that it overpowered the shrimp which was appreciated. My husband and I shared the trout basket and they were very lightly breaded, not greasy at all and well seasoned. My son ordered a cheeseburger and raved about it so much that he told our waitress on the way out that it was 5-star worthy. Note: he orders burgers everywhere we go so I trust his judgement . We ordered a bottle of wine quickly and had a very attentive server. 90 minutes later the bottle of wine is almost gone and our entrees are not here. I will update as we make it through the meal. Update 1: The food came out as I hit send. The cook on the meat was very correct. However, the rack of lamb came out lukewarm to room temperature. Presentation was beautiful, but seemed to be too long rested. Sides on the plate (white bean puree and the vegetables) came out to correct temp. The plate was returned and came back with the comment the puree was supposed to be chilled. Understood, but the lamb was not warm. The kitchen solution was to use a warm jus. The filet came out correct cook and great presentation. Very flavorful. Wine selection is well done and well-priced. The server, Olivia, was lovely and did a wonderful job attending to us.
