I am 37 weeks pregnant and have been seeing Dr Christian since about 33/34 weeks. I have always had…read more(even prior to pregnancy - desk job, horrible posture and bad sleeping patterns!) discomfort and tension in my shoulders, hips and lower back and I thought going to a chiropractor would make no difference. I WAS WRONG. I finally reached a point in my pregnancy where my legs would shake in pain just from standing too long. My baby was still breech at 34 weeks, which did not happen in my first pregnancy, and at my 36 week ultrasound they confirmed he was finally head down - only thing to change was seeing Dr Christian. I finally started being able to go on walks again & keeping up (sort of! Lol) with my toddler. I can't even explain how much better I feel. I cannot wait to keep going after having the baby to see how good I can feel. Dr Christian is so incredibly knowledgeable and also so kind and welcoming. The environment is absolutely wonderful and I truly look forward to these appointments, not only because of how I feel after but after my very first visit he remembered personal details like my daughters name, my sons name to be, etc.. you're not just a number here! You're truly cared about and so is your well being. I can't recommend this place enough!!

New to the area, I was looking for a good chiropractor. Sadly, my first and last visit here was a…read moredisaster. The first red flag was being brought into a separate room as a new patient, handed laminated pseudo-science data sheets, and given a sales pitch about how chiropractic care can apparently solve every ailment in the known universe. I kindly explained that I was just there for a standard back adjustment due to soreness from spending nearly 20 hours on a plane. The sales guy immediately launched into a speech about "treating the root cause, not the symptom." "But in my case, I already know the root cause, don't I?" A quick and dismissive: "Right, but we still need to run you through a series of tests to confirm." Then he referred to a "spine gun" they would use on my back. I asked what kind of technology this mythical device used because I did not want any x-rays. His response: "Oh, we will do an x-ray today." "No, I'm not injured and I won't be getting an x-ray." "Then you can't be treated here." That ended the visit for me, and honestly, hearing multiple patients screaming in pain and loudly cursing during their adjustments while I was sitting in the office did not exactly inspire confidence either. I've been to many chiropractors over the years, but this is the first time I've ever felt like I was at a car dealership instead of a medical office.

I have been seeing Dr. Donath for a few months now and it has changed my life. I was seeing a…read morechiropractor for years due to hip and lower back pain. She would adjust me but never mentioned anything actually being wrong with my back. When I saw Dr. Donath he immediately told me that I likely have bulging discs and would need an MRI to identify the exact issues. I had the MRI done which showed two bulging discs. I started spinal decompression therapy and my pain is GONE. It has changed my life. Also, maybe some people out there can relate that I love watching y-strap (and ring dinger) videos on YouTube. Dr. Donath did the y-strap on me and it helped so immensely. I have three small children and have neck pain from hunching/holding them/always being on my phone. The y-strap fixed my neck immediately. I look forward to doing it again and hope to get more relief in my upper back next time. I really can't say enough good things about Dr. Donath. Even my 5 year old says how mommy no longer is in pain and no longer complains. I can play on the ground with my kids and not feel that constant ache. If you have seen chiropractors with no resolution to your pain, PLEASE go to Dr. Donath. It has changed everything for me.

Buyer Beware. They may not be a scam, but it sure feels like one…read more Please note that this is only my experience and does not reflect the people that work at Joint Effort. Everyone is really nice and they do a good job of making you feel comfortable. However: The entire process from start to finish is a bit of pseudo-science. You are first given a free book to read about decompression therapy and then are required to get an MRI to become a eligible patient. Turns out I had four herniated disks which just so happen to be eligible for decompression therapy. I was then quoted a figure of $7,000 for the entire 30 session process. Shortly afterwards I was exposed to dozens of alleged testimonials about how successful the process was. I figured that it would be worth the investment so I went ahead and started a payment plan with them. The process itself is a bit lackluster - you are literally laying down as a machine pulls at the bottom of your skull a centimeter or so for about 20 minutes. You are also given ice packs to take home with you and you're told multiple times to make sure to ice the neck and lower back area at least 5 times a day. For the most part, the pain started to go away although there were some times when I wake up with excruciating pain for a day which eventually went away. Fast forward 30 sessions later, and I noticed my pain started to return. However, the only thing that changed was that I was getting a bit lazy with the icing of my neck. And then it hit me, maybe it's the ice that is doing all the work and not the stretching. Either way - I asked for a copy of my statement for tax purposes and it turned out that $7k quote was a lie. I was charged $255 per session and my bill came out to $8,950 (~35 sessions). To summarize, nothing against the people that work here, but it seems sketchy. I wouldn't recommend unless you've tried surgery already and it didn't work.

The afternoon PT worker was more interested in pushing his MLM that helping me with my treatment. At one point he took my number, I assumed it was for appointments purposes. Odd because the front desk has my contact information. Turns out it was to send me a video to push a "miracle oil". I decided not to return and to elsewhere. Best thing I ever did. The new practice was wonderful. We did a number of exercises, gave me a workout plan for home, discussed what to look for with footwear and suggested adaptive equipment my insurance would cover. What a difference! I feel sad that people come for help and they are being pushed a product. People who need PT are vulnerable, often elderly or young kids on sports teams. They need help getting back to their normal activities. It wasn't professional or at all ethical.

She is the best and her massages make me feel so much better. Also, the front desk is very welcoming and are very nice. Fast at answering their phones and booking you an appointment!
