This was mostly a great experience. The staff is great. Personable and timely. A small wait to be seated. My husband got the street corn app. He loooved it. It was so full of flavor. I was looking at the salads that the tables around us got, and they looked really small, so I went a different way. I ordered the cocktail shrimp and the side order of Brussel sprouts. The cocktail sauce was amazing. The shrimp were average and good. The Brussel sprouts could have been cooked more, but had good flavor. For his meal, my husband got the ward 4 burger and fries. The burger was a letdown. It tasted slightly of chemicals. Weird for the delicious description. It was on an also slightly stale bun. The fries were seasoned well and served hot. He enjoyed the beer he got. I would return, if in the area. Just not for the burger. read more

Had dinner with two friends on a Saturday night. It was our first time there. It was pretty busy, but we had a reservation. We were seated promptly and the server was fast and friendly. The menu was diverse and creative. The food was delicious, but they brought our meals at completely different times. I ordered fish and chips and that came out first. It was piping hot and fresh, but I didn't want to be rude and start eating before everyone else had their dinners. Eventually I had to so my plate didn't get cold. The next dish came about 10 minutes later, and the last dish about 15 minutes after that. Over 20 minutes passed between when I got my dish and the last plate came out. I was already done eating when my friend finally got that last dish. We had to ask our server if it was coming. I worked as a waitress for over 20 years. You just don't do that. People go out because they want to eat together. Someone should be organizing the timing of what is cooked when, and someone should be expediting the plates in the window, so they are run to the table together. We looked around at other tables and the same thing was happening. It seemed that they were running one plate at a time as soon as they were ready. The food and drinks were really good, but they need to get this timing issue fixed. read more

This place is a vibe. The ambiance not to mention the menu looked delicious, i wish i could have tried everything. We got the flatbreads which our server said was new to the menu, and as an entrees we got the ward 4 pasta and the steak tips. The flavor and quality was there. The cocktail menu is different and refreshing. We met ann the bartender, she was so nice, super knowledgeable and definitely knew how to make a drink. Our server was summer she was very attentive, always made sure to check in with us, answered all of our questions and even gave us some great suggestions. We will definitely be back. read more

Glad to have a nice option like this in the Auburndale area. Food was decent. My wife had several of the smaller plates and thought they were all quite good. I had a burger and it was about average. Side of fries was a bit meager in size though so was underwhelmed for the price I was paying. Very good beer list. Service is where they really need to improve. I know it was their first night open when we visited but they were very disorganized. Servers were carrying drinks to tables instead of using trays to carry multiple drinks. So restaurant 101 stuff was lacking. Our waitress had never worked at a restaurant before. So the management needs to really focus on TRAINING their staff and putting strong basic restaurant practices in place to improve my rating. I got texts about my reservation and was able to make changes and all that. But that's not what I look for in a RESTAURANT to be honest. See notes about training staff and being more efficient so that the customer experience is very good to excellent. read more

Stopped here on the way back to the south shore from western Mass...everything was absolutely fantastic. Got the salt and pepper wings to start, then a burger, steak tips and a kids Mac and Cheese. Steak tips were some of the best I've had - no need for the sauce served on the side, they were great on their own. I'm pretty picky on mashed potatoes - these were in my top 3. Hot wings so hot they destroy your will to stay there. Buffs has nothing to worry about. (We're good with hot) I had brick chicken, the brick probably has more flavor. She had an order of cilantro with a side of short ribs. On a positive note the bar was nice and the bartenders great. The bummer is we're in weston 2 miles away!! Being a bourbon guy I kicked things off with a cocktail, the aptly named Ward 4 and it did not disappoint. It was a great play on an old fashion updated for 2021. For dinner I had the Crisped Brussel Sprouts which had great flavor and just the right amount of oil. Finally, for dinner I had the Braised Beef short ribs which had the perfect amount of moisture and flavor. All in all a great meal with great service and ambiance. Found Ward 4 after doing a quick google search following a hot day of moving daughter into BC. From the time we walked in everything was fantastic. Hostess seated us quickly, waiter brought water and answered our questions regarding the house cocktails - which were great! Skipped the appetizers and decided to go right to entrees. The NY Strip was perfect and wife's pasta and chicken was described as "one of the best dishes I've ever had." Wonderful dinner and we plan to come back next time we are in town. Ward 4 is the crowning achievement of the Noble family's years of hard work and sacrifice. After much anticipation, our friends, my husband and I just enjoyed a wonderful dinner at Ward 4. When we walked in, the atmosphere was festive-- everyone was smiling and clearly enjoying themselves. Ward 4 is gorgeous, sophisticated, yet comfortable. The staff was friendly, accommodating and knowledgeable. Our server, Brian, recommended an excellent New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc.
