Second pair of Warbys from this store, and yet another great customer service experience, as well as the most stylish frames. Communication and distancing and cleaning process during my in-store shopping during the Pandemic couldn't have been better! I get my eyes checked elsewhere, but always appreciate the associates at Warby, who are way cooler than I am, to recommend a few frames. There were probably three finalists that I would be happy wearing, but went with a frame with a little blue in it. The only ding to Warby ever is that I have to file my own reimbursement to insurance, which I sometimes forget to do. The Third Ward Warby Parker store has the perfect location for window-shopping and people-watching. Walking by and trying on glasses is one of my favorite diversions in the neighborhood. When I realized how easy it was to get glasses through HSA, and needed an eye exam anyway, this was the first place I thought of. The staff is really nice and knowledgeable and happy to help you give a second opinion if you're stuck between a few frames. The optometrist is friendly and efficient. And the selection of frames changes all the time. Warby Parker does have at-home try-on also. But trying on glasses in-person is the better way to go for me. I like my optical doctor but I've never been happy with his selection of frames. Last year, I took my script and went to a new vendor in town, who had arrived with a great deal of fanfare, amusing tv spots, and falderal so I tried them. I never felt like I was taken care of properly nor properly fit with my frames. So, this year, after getting a new script and not being able to read things with clarity, it was time to try someone new. Warby Parker seems to have rave reviews from my Yelp friends so I thought I'd give them a try. I downloaded their app to my cell phone and tried several frames virtually. Give it a try! You can pick WB frames and the app superimposes them on your gorgeous face using your cell phone camera! (I'd show you a sample, but I don't want to scare you.) While the app and all that is very well and good (WB will actually send you five frames to try on at home, too) I feel better about being able to touch and feel the frames, then try them on, before committing to one. (Sounds like dating, doesn't it?) Off to WB I went. Note: It's a lot easier to find parking on Broadway during a weekday in the Covid-19 era than any given weekend! I entered the store and was immediately greeted warmly, and still being the Covid-19 era, I had to answer the travel-contact-symptom questions that everyone asks these days. I was passed off to a knowledgeable rep who helped me select a frame from several I tried. We agreed that my choice was right for my face and had the lens size I desired. She even went into the back room and pulled out kind of an unusual color because I simply asked about it. (That color was a lot worse on my mug than I thought it could possibly be!) All rejected frames were sanitized and returned to the rack for the next patron to try on. I was quickly fitted by an expert, my script was recorded and before I knew it, I was all done, my credit card was charged and and all forms forwarded to my email address. Now all I have to do is wait for the delivery guy to bring them right to me, probably next week when I will finish this review. Meanwhile, back at the ranch...fingers drumming...today, the Post Office put a sturdy, eyeglasses-sized box in my mailbox. After figuring out how to open the box, I read the little info blurb and proceeded to try on my new specs. I'm having aa lliitttllee ttroubbllee aaddjjuussttiinngg...wait a minute...I put the old ones back on to finish this. The blurb even says it takes awhile to eyes to adjust to the new script. If you see me walking around with my chin up in the air, you'll know I'm still getting adjusted to them. I'm headed to the Third Ward tomorrow to get the frames tweaked a little bit, and that should finish this up. All foolishness aside for a moment, I'm very pleased with my experience with Warby Parker and will probably return next year when I get a new script to fill. read more

This is my third time purchasing from WP. 1. You can't beat the price (unless you go to Zenni...) 2. I went in two times to browse before coming back a third time to purchase. The staff is so friendly and knowledgeable. I also always notice that they have a diverse and inclusive workforce at the MKE location... and they wear pronoun pins. The vibe is always great in there. 3. Selection and styles about above par. I love their designs... most are like retro-mod with some unique flair (e.g. teal tortoise). Parking is a b*tch... but whatevs... that's not the store's fault. I just circle the block or park down the street and hoof it! :-) I recommend WP to all my friends. Warby Parker is like a candy store - for eye glasses. They are affordable (starting at $95 for frames and lenses), really make the process a treat and provide exceptional service throughout! Armed with my flexible spending account and a new prescription from my doctor, I stopped into the new Third Ward store. I have heard about Warby Parker's cool retail concept of shipping 5 pairs to try at home, then having complete frames mailed to you. I used Warby's website to become familiar with a couple pairs. The aesthetic of the Third Ward store is clean, modern and efficient. When I stopped in I was greeted and welcomed in right away - and led directly to the Upton, a pair I liked online. Like a fiend I tried on dozens of pairs before settling on the Evelina, a clear cat-eye tortoise shell set with hues of purple, pink, grey and black, and Tess, a pair of oversized tortoise shell sunglasses with hints of blue, complemented by my selection of polarized blue mirrored lenses. Wow! I get lots of compliments on how cute my glasses are! They were ready for pick up in about 10 days. Warby Parker also has an excellent warranty program! During this horrible winter I fell and face planted, slightly scratching one of my brand new lenses. After scouring the internet and trying home remedies (folks, toothpaste doesnt work) I stopped into the store to ask what to do. I was stunned when Warby Parker ordered me a complete new set free of charge - under the comprehensive one year warranty! Having struggled for over a month to order a pair of glasses online from Coastal, after several returns I decided to give Warby Parker a shot. A friend had highly recommended them and the convenience of trying something on in a store versus ordering online and hoping it worked out seemed like a good idea. I was impressed with the process and the ease of ordering, and I'm very happy with my new glasses! The variety of glasses in this location is great. It was easy to pick out a pair that I liked; we were in and out in maybe 15 minutes. The service was mediocre - the kid who helped us seemed extremely bored. They do take HSA cards and insurance which was a plus. As it turned out, after I received the email my order was being processed, the glasses were incorrect! The frame style was wrong - I'm not sure if they were in the wrong place on the shelf or the person who placed our order had entered it incorrectly. Regardless, I was able to do a live-chat with customer service on their website and everything was corrected quickly and easily. The glasses arrived within a week and were perfect! Warby Parker does do in-store adjustments, which was good to know, although not needed. I would highly recommend checking them out - especially as pairs including lenses are so affordable at just $95! read more

Had the best exam of my life here (and I've been wearing glasses for 25 years). I always thought Warby Parker was going to be too expensive and not covered by my insurance. Boy was I wrong on that. Frames are super affordable starting at $95, and that includes your lenses. Eye exam is $75. I have spectera insurance which they take so my eye exam was only $10. Dr. Vaughn Schneider was great. I let her know I can't touch my eye and struggle with eye drops so the dilation was probably going to be difficult. She laughed, mentioned most people struggle with the eye dilation and that she had a trick to make it go smoothly. She was able to get my eyes dilated, no problem by having me close my eyes and blink the drops in. I'm still super impressed. Several staff members checked in on me during my time in the store. Their optician, Jennifer Karas, picked out my glasses for me. Went with a style I normally wouldn't have chosen for myself as I'm so excited to get them. So glad my regular eye place was booked so I was able to give Warby Parker a try! read more

Worst experience not once, but twice. I went to have my glasses looked at because even after adjusting the lenses aren't quite right. Was directed to have one of the staff members take a look and fit them to my liking. This did not work, so I was advised to return a different date when their lead who is certified to review all glasses could assist. During this visit, I was also informed that I was outside of my 6 month warranty window, which was news to me as it was previously 1 year. This associate also said the previous associate no longer worked for the company that would have assisted with my first fitting. I returned a second time to see this lead associate as the adjustment did nothing. Come to find out he left early on that day (of course ). The manager of this location came out to review my options, ultimately leaving with either paying for a completely new pair with a 50 credit or returning another time when the lead, Nick, was working. At this point I was completely flabbergasted. This would be the third trip in one week and I have gotten nowhere with my glasses. Additionally, the manager contradicted all information I was given from the last visit regarding who fit my glasses, the warranty timeline, and Nicks work schedule. Her response on this information being incorrect was the associate was new so it was okay. YOU HAVE GOT TO BE KIDDING ME These experiences were completely unprofessional and no one was apologetic at all. I'm not sure I will return to speak with this Nick person at this point. My glasses were not made correctly and Warby Parker will not own up to their mistakes. Be aware and reconsider before going to this location. read more

The store in downtown has very modern vibe, love the design and layout. The staff members are a mixed bag. Let's start with the good, the optometrist was AMAZING, she was very approachable and tactfully explained what was happening and what we were going to do next. I really enjoyed my experience with her. However, the sale associates were not that apt to help me. When I walked in, the sales woman just kinda glared at me and after about 3 seconds she asked if I needed help. She was the only one that actually talked to me though (out of 3 sales associates, that weren't busy at all). They seemed a little awkward around me (I've grown to expect that), but it wasn't too bad. Overall the trip went along quite well, received my new frames and I love them (as well as other peopl). When I came back as instructed there was only one customer shopping at that time. I was told that I would need to wait another 30 minutes because they were at capacity again. I asked how many people were allowed in at on time and I was told 10 people. I asked why I was being asked to wait after I had already waited and there was not 10 people in the store. She told me that they had one person in an eye exam. I asked her how 1 + 1 =10 She became extremely rude and told me to wait. Took my 16 year old daughter for an eye exam here on Mar 7. She chose some cool glasses which we told we'd receive in 7-10 days. They were shipped to the wrong address even though I double checked that out address was correct. We were then told they'd be overnighted. We're still waiting for the glasses nearly a month later. My husband had the best customer service here! He has just passed the one year mark for his glasses but they had a scratch in them. When he took them in the associate was able to get them fixed for free since he was so close to the warranty. WOW KAREN IS AMAZING. I have been to this Warby Parker a few times unable to find the perfect frames, the issue being I love the glasses I have now. Karen was able to take my face shape and the frames I already have and recommended a sunglass that they could change the lenses. She let me keep looking around and didn't pressure me -bringing me similar recommendations but she really had it spot on with that first pair. Warby Parker optometrists' botched my contacts prescription not helping me to see clearly. One word comes to mind. NEXT !!! But wait it gets worse. Zero zip nada customer service. Try calling Milwaukee location. NO one will ever pick up. You get bounced to a customer phone center. And then when you waste time talking to someone who knows nothing about you, when asked to call Milwaukee location, their response, "I can't call I can only email them." Seriously. Warby Parker is the worst having no customer service and to rate them a 1 a insult. They truly deserve a big fat zero. And OMG night and day different experience with Metro Eye just around the corner. They are AWESOME on every level. read more

Okay, I like the concept, and I like the glasses that I ordered, but here's the deal. I made it clear to the saleswoman in December that I had my eye exam scheduled for 2018, and that I would be claiming them on my 2018 FSA. She assured me that was fine, and that they could place the order and I could upload the prescription later. When the glasses were received on January 11th, the receipt had the date they were ordered, December 17th, and my FSA denied the claim. I called the store, and could not get through, so I went online and called their headquarters. The customer service rep explained to me that they should not have done that, and that it's basically insurance fraud. The only way they could remedy the situation was to reorder the glasses in 2018, charge my card again, and send me a return label for the original pairs. So basically, an additional delay in receiving my reimbursement because of incorrect information given to me by the saleswoman in the store. #Frustrated read more

I asked around to friends and coworkers, and everyone said Warby Parker was THE place to go for affordable, quality prescription glasses. Going into the store in the Third Ward was very overwhelming for me, but the staff was incredibly helpful! They let me have my time to look around myself, and when I was ready for help, an associate was there to help me narrow my choices down to one pair. Another associate even came and offered his thoughts as well. The staff really put me at ease, and the check out process was a so quick and straightforward! I swear it took less than 5 minutes once I chose my pair. Plus, I was able to have my new glasses mailed to my apartment FOR FREE so I didn't have to deal with Third Ward parking to go pick them up.
