I just called about a pair of broken glasses for an elderly client. these people have NO business even answering the phone. \I have never been so offended by anyone. My client simply fell and broke her glasses. Target refused to even discuss this. The girl stated that if the glasses weren't purchased at Target, They had no interest in helping. I would give 0 stars if i could. Before i ever worked here it wasn't a store i normally went to. I quit my job here over 2 months ago. Reasons i left are plenty. I had a loss in my family and traditionally we take 9-10 days to grieve and do prayers. My family is extremely old school catholic Mexicans. I called to let them know that I'd need about 7-9 days off. I was told i get 3 days grievance and needed to figure out everything else for myself. Simple and understood. I got 2 more days covered and needed at least 2 after that. I called to see if anyone could help me because i didn't have everyone's number. I was told they would take care of it and not to worry about it. When i got back i was written up for 2 no call no shows. I explained the situation and wasn't heard out. A short time after i was injured outside of work. When i brought in a note from my doctor about needing to sit periodically, i was told by HR that they didn't have to accommodate me because they aren't doctors and it would be unprofessional to sit and watch the lanes (as my job was guest service attendant aka customer service manager). So i had to stand and actually ended up in the ER after a few days straight working like this. I took a day off since i have a 3 day weekend to rest as much as possible. A few months so by and i got sick. I was talked to about calling in and i explained to them what was happening. They agreed to help me as much as they could. A couple weeks go by and I'm trying hard not to call in because my stomach is so week i can't eat or drink anything at this point. I finally call and the store manager answered i tell her I've been puking all night and don't think i can make it in. She tells me i need to work my shift and that if i didn't show up she would take it as a no call no show. I went in at my scheduled time and it only took an hour of holding down puke that i ran to the bathroom and puked. She still didn't care. As soon as the next GSA showed up i left i couldn't stay a minute longer. They eventually "helped" me out by cutting my hours to 3-4 hours a day about 1-3 days a week. It wasn't until early summer that they called about getting FMLA after they cut my hours i was told i was to be there a year (i was there 14 months by this time) and had to have 1200 hours under my belt. Well guess what. The hours had to be from that day to a year before. The hours from my 1st 2 months there basically disappeared and were replaced with the hours i worked that current year. So i was short about 280 hours. The hours would keep disappearing if i kept working the way i was. I gave up and began my search for a better job. I also had problems with management. The store manager micromanages. She yelled at everyone for doing things but was never there to help. She was rude and played favorites. Department managers that she favored would have "meeting" which almost always included buy lunch and being in the conference room for an hour or two. The store manager would watch from her office above the target cafe and tell me over walkie that i had a flashing light at a lane and when i looked up there wasn't one. Overall she was the biggest paint in me a**. If you didn't suck up to her she wouldn't acknowledge you unless it was to be a total b****. I did what i could for the company but i hated working there. Now that i no longer work there i am ignored by many if not all of the managers I'm not greeted like all the other customers. I am a fly in the wall and treated as such. Only people who treat me like i never left are the friends i did make there. I really hope they get a new and better store manager. Because this one just isn't working out. I was told while working there that one of the sales floor people wanted to transfers and when HR at the time found out she yelled at the associate and are her cry. I'm glad i left when i did. I heard Black Friday and this holiday season has been h**l for everyone who isn't a manager. read more

Very, very happy with the service I received. I had been going to the same place for years and my new insurance covered this place so since it was closer I decided to give it a try. So glad I did! It was extremely nice to have someone to sit down with and go over my insurance coverage and make the best options for the lowest cost. If you don't have insurance, I still recommend going because there were things my insurance didn't cover and they then have LOTS of discounts to make it affordable. I had such a great experience at Target Optical on Chase from start to finish. I scheduled the appointment for a Saturday morning- they greeted me right away and got my insurance information. The exam started promptly- I didn't have to wait at all. Dr. Heinecke was so friendly and professional. He was so kind and we had a great chat! He was able to write me a prescription and I was immediately assisted in finding frames and ordering my new lenses. The whole experience probably only took 40 minutes total and I thought the entire staff did an incredible job. Beyond impressed!! read more

I enjoyed my exam - the optician provided great suggestions on my contact lenses. However, the customer service after the exam and the months following it was a different story. Yes, I said months after wards. The wait for my contact lenses were longer than the normal 7-10 business days. The customer service at this Target Optical didn't even acknowledge that waiting more than that amount of time was unusual and that additional steps should be followed. All they kept telling me was for me to wait. One girl who I was talking to throughout the whole ordeal - at one point claimed that she was not the one who I was working with. She didn't even apologize for the delay or want to find out what else she could do for me. Working with her is making me not want to go back to this Target Optical ever. Additionally, it has made me want to tell everyone that I care about to not go to this Target Optical. If I could, I would give this place zero stars. read more
