The staff here ignored myself and my husband. We both are eyeglass wearers and thought we would try this place out as we were done shopping for the day. However, we walked in there. We stood around for a few minutes. No one picked their head up to greet us. Ask us if we needed help. My husband was looking at the frames and I was just waiting for someone to help so I looked in the faces of the three people that were there. There were two of them that weren't busy at all and everyone ignored us. This deserves every bad review for personality every band review for friendliness I hope this place closes down. read more

I went to Warby Parker at Somerset two weeks ago, and I can't express enough how much I don't recommend them. I told the doctor there multiple times I was seeing double if not triple at the end of the appointment. To which he told me my eyes just "weren't adjusted yet" Went today to SVS and finally got the correct prescription and could see perfectly. Top is prescription from Warby, bottom SVS. The floor staff were wonderful, very friendly and helpful. (By the way, Warby doesn't offer refunds. Only "rechecks" with the same doctor. Why would I waste my time seeing the same doctor that didn't listen to me in the first place.) read more

My appointment was for 1:05 today. I rolled in at 12:50. The pair of glasses I was dreaming about were actually laying on the table. Darling Dr. Watson did a very high tech, thorough exam. I was back on the floor very soon and Barbie was waiting for me. I had told her I liked a pair of glasses Melissa McCarthy wore in 9 perfect Strangers and she had looked them up! Not for me. We went back to the first pair. Picked out a pair of sunglasses and I was out the door by 1:15! Glasses being mailed to my house. in time for my vacation! With the exam it was under$340!!! read more

The customer service of this place can best be described as two very good hardworking employees and three employees who couldn't care less about their job. When we arrived, a very friendly door greeter told us to check in and that they would text us when it was our turn. No problem! He told us there was one person in front of us and it would be a 10-15 min wait. No problem for us. A bunch of people were in the store and were on their way out so we were okay with that. Long story short it was a 30 min wait. Which in it of itself is not bad except that because we sat on the bench right outside we saw at least three to four groups people go inside before us. What the heck? And still no text message for us. At one time, they had five employees and one customer inside. Surely they would let us in. Nope. Literally they had three employees slowly cleaning glasses and putting them away. They never checked their electronic list to see if there was anybody in the queue. While the other two were helping customers or busy at the counter. In fact, when they were almost done cleaning the glasses, we literally saw one employee go to the back, and another employee just happily and lazily chatting away twiddling her thumbs doing NOTHING while the third employee was slowly cleaning glasses. This was While there was one customer in the store. What the heck!? The only person that eventually let us in was a female employee who was busting her ass off helping another customer and let us in and another couple in (before us mind you...who didn't have to wait at all and didn't have to electronically sign in). So we had this female employee helping three customers at a time. The friendly guy was behind the counter clearly doing work. And everyone else just standing around twiddling their thumbs. Mind you, when we were inside no one came up to us to ask if we had any questions or needed any help. We had to go to the guy behind the counter and ask all our questions. Basically long story short, this was a waste of our time and we left feeling extremely frustrated and invisible. Kudos to the two employees there that clearly care about their jobs. Great selection of frames, affordable and competitive prices, and excellent quality service

I was excited that Warby had a new store near me, but I was wrong! What a waste of time. One of the worst experiences I have had in a long time in retail. This is a review not on the glasses or quality of the product, because for the money, the glasses are a good buy. However, Warby made their mark on the market for the online experience in connivence, cost, product selection, customer service, and did a good job to pull people like me away from Lenscrafters and DOC. That is why this review needed to be made. The downtown Detroit store at least had good energy from the workers and eager to help, but lack of parking for me is a deal breaker. The Sumerset location is what I am basing this review. The three woman in there didn't even look up to acknowledge me when I walked in. Waited patiently for service at a table because front desk person was helping customer for a long time. After she was done, before I had a chance to even look at her, another customer who just walked in the store went right up to her before I had a chance and got service. Maybe I should have hovered at the front desk for fifteen minutes, but really, she knew I was there waiting for service. All of them saw me in there and no one made the least bit of effort to ask me how I was doing or acknowledge my existence. These employees are not teens and in my opinion old enough to know better, but I don't feel any of them actually were concerned about the service environment. read more

I had a great experience buying my new glasses at Warby Parker. Armed with my prescription, I walked in looking at glasses. It was not long before one of the staff came and asked if I needed help. Boy did I! He walked me through the different glasses and pricing. It didn't take me very long before I had my choices down to two pairs of glasses. After a little time and the opinion of another customer, I chose the ones I liked. I will definitely go back when I need more glasses. read more

Given the current situation, It is extremely frustrating when a business does not take appointments. I purchased glasses online but need to get them adjusted. I don't mind waiting weeks for an appointment but I do not care to wait inside the mall for an hour to have a 5 minute adjustment. read more

I had a great experience here today! I came in with my mom looking for new frames as I got a new prescription that required adjustment for astigmatism. The staff are very friendly while you look around and ask if you need any help, and are not too pushy when you try on different frames. Everyone had an impressive knowledge of the different styles and colors offered. When it came time to choose a frame, both of the staff helped me and my mom get measured for the correct fit. The process was very quick and easy! They filled out all of our information on a tablet and completed the order for us. They even offered a free adjustment for my current frames as I had mentioned that they had been sliding down my nose a lot. They fit perfect now as I wait for my new frames to come in the mail. I loved my old Warby Parker frames and I hope the new ones are just as stylish and durable! I will definitely be recommending this location to everyone I know that wears glasses. read more

I've worn glasses since I was a child and these are the best glasses I've ever owned. I needed an eye exam, which I scheduled online, and only took a short time to perform. The staff is friendly and finding the right pair which fits well is easy. Good prices and stylish frames I can't say enough nice about this store. read more
