They have multiple locations throughout the area including Lake Orion. They have late nights on Tuesdays until 7 PM but aren't open on the weekends. Facility is tucked away right off Walton and has a decent parking lot with lots of handicap parking spots up front. I was able to make an appoint with ease but they were super busy at the Rochester location. Walking in the place is quite large with ample seating and a coffee area. The frame shop is in the front to pick out new glasses and holds decent hours. I checked in at the desk and was taken back on time for my appointment. I did have to fill out paperwork which I hated doing. I had two separate technicians for the first part of my exam and then met with the doctor for the final part which wasn't to terribly long. Appointment ran an hour and I was in and out in no time. I only gave four stars because I was told when I checked in I would be given sunglasses after having my eyes dilated and was never given them on my way out. Fortunately my mom was driving me so I didn't have to worry about that part but was kind of bummed. Also the frame shop is nice but limited selection and kind of expensive. If you have VSP insurance, get your prescription and go to SVS Vision or Visionworks for your frames and lenses.

However when I stopped in they did not accept my insurance and quoted about $190 for the frames and another $100 for the lenses. I told the salesclerk I would shop around before purchasing and he stated, "Good luck finding a store that offers these frames and accepts your insurance." And as my daughter and I walked out, he said to my three-year-old " Okay, I'll see you later." I was not impressed at all with his attitude. I called other miraflex dealers and eventually found "The Visionary" in Allen Park. They took my insurance and I got the glasses with lenses for my co-pay. $25. Customer service was excellent there.

I would like to first start off by saying that myself and my fiance were never able to have his…read moreappointment, so I cannot speak to the doctor's talents, the atmosphere of the back rooms, or the helpfulness of employees while trying to pick out glasses. I'm giving our experience here 2 stars, because my fiance is in a wheelchair and was completely unable to get into the building for his scheduled appointment. He is in a very heavy power wheelchair, and the step to enter the building was about 6 inches high. When I entered, I asked the employee at the desk if there was another entrance and there was not. This was infuriating because when I called to schedule the appointment, I specifically asked if they would be able to accommodate him in their building, stating he could not leave his chair to sit in the usual patient seats, etc. They told me they could accommodate. When I heard they didn't have another point of entry, I looked to my fiance and he immediately said "let's go home." One of the employees working followed us and asked if we could lift his chair inside, saying "they've done it before", but I'm sure it was with a person in a very lightweight wheelchair, not one that is over 400 lbs on its own, and with a user that has hardly any trunk control. The same employee chased us down outside and said she spoke to the doctor, they felt horribly about the situation, and would be willing to come to the house, but we will not be returning. My fiance said it perfectly, "how do you not know if you are wheelchair accessible or not?" and this is the sad truth that we face a lot. It is disheartening being told on the phone that you can be accommodated, and then have so many factors forgotten about. We are just lucky we own our own accessible vehicle and didn't have to rely on a car service, and that my fiance is not a bitter person, or else this experience would have been so much worse. So much planning already goes into our outings, and we had to cancel another plan to be there. My fiance hasn't made vision care a priority in a very long time, and to have this be the way we started off, wasn't the best. I will still give the business 2 stars because of the doctor's willingness to come to the house, the employee expressing her apologies and trying to accommodate, and the building inside providing a nice atmosphere. Thank you for trying, but please do better. I know the building is old, but maybe this will serve as a learning lesson to work on coming up with a solution going forward.

The doctor here also saved me when I had an eye injury in the middle of working one time......, he saw me during his lunch break & got me back up and going so I could finish my day at my job! & I was a walk in!!
