At the website, I did as directed and received an online message telling me to call the store for an appointment. Somehow, I felt like a dog chasing its tail. Second phone call, end result - no appointments available today at this location. However, they transferred my call to another one of their stores and I made a same-day appointment with them. For the most part, the employees here are courteous, very knowledgeable in matters of insurance assistance, and have a decent selection of frames when I need to order glasses. Regular-run-of-the-mill glasses to mid priced to higher priced designer frames, they have them all here. Disclaimer: I'm just a blue-collar kind of guy. I don't need any diamond-encrusted frames. No high-end designer frames are required for me. I just need a decent pair of glasses to keep me from walking into walls. read more

This company was recommended to me by a coworker. I had never been there before, so I called ahead to make sure I could order contacts from them if I had never had an appointment with their company. They said yes, so long as I had my prescription, which I did. I ordered my glasses through their website and received a receipt for my order. Fast forward to two months later. I still had not received my contacts and had not received any notification as to what was going on. So I called the location whose address was on my receipt (aka. this one). The person I spoke to said that they could not access my account information because I was not a patient there - that a different department handled online orders. She volunteered to transfer me to that department. When she did, I was transferred to an automatic message that said the "mailbox was full" and that I could not leave a message. So, I called this location back. The next person I talked to said that she would send out some emails to that department and see if she could find out what was going on. Guess what she found out? Absolutely nothing had been done with my order. The company had essentially took my money and then declared that they could not process my order because it was a prescription from an outside source - essentially, I was not a patient there. I did not receive any kind of correspondence about this issue - either by email or phone - both of which I had provided when I placed my order. If I had not called in, I would have just been out $100+ and never gotten my lenses. Absolutely ridiculous! I'm very grateful to Kim at this location who looked into all of this for me - which is the ONLY reason I gave 2 stars. read more

A really good place to go for glasses. I had to get a new pair after having my current pair for a long time. This was the only SVS location that had the type I wanted with magnetic clip one, so I made an appointment. The location is easy to get to, and very nice inside and out. The staff is very helpful and nice, and many of them have been there for a long time. I've had to go back a few times to pick up a second pair since they have a good sale and then again for adjustments (it's hard to get the right fit with a mask on), and they've been great every time. This was the first time I've been to SVS for an eye exam/pick out new frames. Briana, who scheduled my appointment, was the nicest customer service rep I've ever spoken to! She was so helpful in explaining my insurance coverage and finding an appointment for me before the new year. I have to say this was the smoothest and enjoyable experience I've had in 20 years of wearing glasses. Exam was thorough yet quick. Every frame was sanitized after a try-on and the entire office was immaculately clean. Karla helped me with my frames. She was so friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful! First time here and I have to say the staff is quiet pleasant with this location being so busy, but the service is slow. A lot of waiting around which is the only down fall. Arrived at 6 didn't get out until 7:20 (exam was only 15 mins and picked up a new pair of glasses) A++ for their long opened hours Monday and Thursday until 8pm. Mix crowed of all races and faces, old and young. I felt very comfortable. The exam was fast and the lady who helped was wonderful. The DR. On the other hand was not that friendly lol, mid age little to say. Maybe he was just having a long day as well. Picked up my glasses 2 days later and they have me waiting around again. :/ also a little odd that they wouldn't give me my eye glass prescription nor receipt so I don't have any record of this? They are the rudest human beings I've ever encountered in a so called professional business. I also over heard this woman, short woman with blonde hair, being rude to another customer while I was there. I will no longer go to this establishment and go to where customers are appreciated. The worst SERVICE EVER..I have never seen any fucking thing like this in my life.... 1st issue how the fuck do you transcribe the wrong prescription into some glasses... They didn't even call to verify the prescription numbers as they stated that "looked funny" if they liked funny why not VERIFY 2nd issue brought them back lens popping out the bottom rest of the glasses were intact Picked the glasses up for home then noticed a screw missing In which the metal front face plate coulda came off..... I have never seen so much INCOMPETENCE AT AN EYEGLASS STORE.......Everybody needs to be in-serviced on how to call and verify prescriptions, how to inspect glasses for mistakes like this before giving them to the customers running back to the store multiple times for issues that could have been avoided is ridiculous... Larger than most, well staffed and quick service. Dr was thorough and eyeglass selection was very good. Only reason I rate them 4 vs 5 is the push for Ocularis. I did my own research after the fact and it appears it is a good test but is not a replacement for dilation by most experts guidance, in fact it does not "see" into the areas of the eye as well as dilation despite seeing "more" of the retina. I feel it was pushed to get the $35 I otherwise would not have payed with my insurance plan... read more

My first time going into an SVS Vision store let alone location. My sister highly recommended their service and specifically this location to me because she goes there for her glasses, and said the selection of glasses are the best, including a variety of high end glasses to choose from to the staff being great to work with. I went in this past Friday 9/13 and she was right, everyone was very friendly, the eye doctor was very thorough in my exam and explaining what was going on with my eyes. The young lady that assisted me was friendly, courteous and very helpful as well. Overall my first time experience at SVS Mt. After having surgery to correct my distance vision, I went here to order reading glasses. They insisted I needed bi-focals. I insisted I didn't. When I picked up my readers I found they ordered bi-focals. Not acceptable. Had to wait again for them to make the order right. I returned to the store after having an accident and damaging the lenses. They refused to repair them. I will go somewhere else from now on. read more

Not really sure where these nasty reviews are coming from. This was my first time here. Booked the appointment online. I went there during my lunch on a Friday. Busy, yes. It is busy. But they are friendly and I was greeted instantly upon walking in. Filled out my standard paperwork. I've been wearing glasses since 6 (35 now). Eye appointment was easy, the male doctor checked my eyes, was in and out since it'd been 4 yrs since my last checkup. Overall my experience was fine. I had them pick out a handful of glasses. Yes, if you let them select the glasses for you, they will slip in a Gucci or 2 for frames. That's fine. They are sales people and floor staff. I ended up with a pair of ray bans. The benefit to the staff is they can select frames that look great on your face. New pair was ready in 7 days. I'm rocking them now. Nothing wrong with my prescription. Nothing wrong with the service. Everyone was friendly on both visits. Place is great. Staff is friendly and helpful. read more

The service is pretty good at this location, but the prices are outrageous. The doctor is ok, but can be a little short. After this year, I'll be looking for another eyeglass company primarily because of the prices. $500 out-of-pocket for lenses (no frame, few add-ons) and a 3 month supply of contacts is just highway robbery when you have good vision insurance. read more

This was my second time there. Staff is unfriendly. They act like you're putting them out. Both visits my order was wrong.

I have been coming to SVS since I was a kid and I can confidently say I will NEVER come back and advise everyone I know to never set foot in there either. I went in for simple frame repair- found out I had to buy all new frames out of pocket. I paid to have new frames ordered with my current lenses put in. Came to pick them up after I was called and they weren't ready. The lady tried putting the lenses j right there and BURNED one right in front of me. She said they would fix it and call me when it was ready (again). Takes them a week (despite putting a "rush" on it) and they call to say my glasses are in. I come to pick them up and the other lens that wasn't burned was warped and had a huge wavy spot right in the line of vision. I left again with glasses. Waited a third week by now and came back when called. Tried the "fixed" glasses on and I was seeing double! They had to put them through some spectrometer or something and found out they messed up the line of vision. By this time, the same woman had helped me each time and she did it was ridiculous and that she would try to get me a partial refund to make up for the mess of this transaction. She called back and the said she never said she would help me and that the pack of glasses wipes and USED glasses case they gave me was the "break" she promised. i came in to the mt clemons office with high hopes of having my glasses made that day. they stopped doing that a few years ago, but because i was leaving town and driving, they put in "hot rush" ! approvals were made, phone calls were made, insurance was authorized, and my glasses were made in a day ! i drove back the 50 miles from home and tried them on. the left corner of my frame was high and the woman began trying to bend it - by hand ! what happened to the warm sand and hand tools ? she tried over and over, i thought she had a problem -a personal problem ! and when she bent the nose pads with her meathooks and exclaimed " i don't understand how you got your glasses in one day, nobody does" i knew that to be true for sure. why was she bothered over this, and why was she taking it out on my glasses ? then covered in hand prints, i had to ask for a cloth to wipe them. with a far too used cloth, she was about to turn me loose. i asked where my cleaning kit was, and she said you don't get one ! with as much as my insurance, and, i paid in cash, i sure am entitled to a crummy lense care package ! if it weren't for that package, i wouldn't be complaining at all, but !!! now let's get that fixed, and straighten out my frame that's still crooked ! please - that's why it was done in one day ! read more

Worst experience EVER!! Carla broke my prescription lens when she was cleaning it then tried to cover it up and say they were cracked already. Had to call the manager over to get them to replace the lens for free. Then a week later Carla called and said she forgot to tell me I had to sign a waiver incase they broke the frames when putting in the new lenses in. Guess what? They broke the frames. These were expensive one year old glasses. Wondering why I spent so much money last year for expensive frames and lenses and they both break nearly the same time a year later. Another 10 days went by then Carla called to say glasses were ready. When I went in to try them on I discovered Carla had them make the wrong prescription. She submitted my reading glass subscription instead of my regular distance glasses. She said she would put a rush on them and send them back. LOL I think she was doing this on purpose because I wasn't willing to spend $200 for a pair of basic reading glasses with SVS. This i believe is her retaliation. Had trouble with my digital exam also. That's another story. I'm still waiting for my glasses. Point is stay away from this location of SVS. Carla is a terrible sales person and completely incompetent. ! will never set foot in an SVS location again, except to pick up my repaired glasses. read more
