Came in to have a pair of sunglasses repaired. They were all very polite, professional and quick. I was very pleased with the selection of glasses. I will be coming back for my next eye exam. Thank you. read more

Excellent selection of frames. Excellent service. Friendly, efficient, qualified Dr's. I'm a consultant who has had to purchase my own benefits for the past 20 years. I finally broke down and purchased dental/vision coverage via BCBS. I was so happy that the employee's here helped me navigate how to use my vision coverage. Insurance of any kind these days can be so confusing! I had an eye exam, a pair of clear lens glasses and sunglasses all together at a cost of $667.00 - pretty good considering all that I received. I loved the selection of frames. The employees, Sue & Maryan, were so patient and helpful when I tried on pair after pair of frames. I was shocked to discover that both my sunglasses and my clear lens glasses would be available for me to pick up four hours after I ordered them. I live close by so I came back in four hours and sure enough they were ready and fit perfectly. Very pleased and will return for more fun frames next year. read more

Went in as I needed a repair on the prescription glasses I had purchased a couple of years ago. Asked if they could put a screw in my sunglasses. They fixed both with no charge. Everone was polite and courteous! In this day and age this is very rare and they made my day! Thanks again Pam Myers read more

So disappointed at this location. I have a pair of glass that I am stuck with because I didn't come in the 30 days timeframe after picking the glasses up. Granted this was during Christmas holiday. I was out of town the majority of time up until 4 February. The sale clerk did note this in computer after making adjustments twice. This is third time I've been up their and the eye examiner/salesperson Jeannett was just so nonchalant about trying to help me. I did feel some kind of way if I had been of another color. I may have been treated a little different. I'm not making this up. Well the glasses feel worst than they did before I took them in today. But I want be going back. I wished they had left the two shop separate. The one that was inside Macy's at lakeside mall did have great customer service. Even if I was pass my expired date. Because this location at lakeside mall lacks customer service relations/support. Glasses are in a drawer, I cannot wear them. I am wearing my old pair. They will never get to use my VSP insurance benefits again. I should have just went to Walmart??????? read more

This place is awesome . Great customer service. Miss Ban and Dr Yates helped me tremendously and made this a very easy transaction. Would definitely recommend this location to everyone read more

Unexpected but great experience. Stopped in to just check the place out, normally I would avoid chains and go local, but after my last optometrist, wanted to take a look. Was greeted quickly and got my questions answered. the selection of glasses was massive and matched the manufacturer's list price, which other stores I checked out do not. Henry Ford OptimEyes was 30-40% above the list price, which seemed crazy. Dr. hunt gave a very thorough eye exam, far better than my last one. Took time to answer questions and made sure my concerns on my previous glasses were considered. The prescription appears to be dead on, not like my last one from ExpertEyes in Washington, MI. Got the same glasses for considerably less, with an accurate prescription and warranty. Would not think a mall placed office would be good, but it was. With my constant travels, having access to help anywhere will be a bonus. My only concerns they were not totally clear that they were not in the VSP network, so even though it was cheaper than my previous experience, it was a bit more than it could been. Would of been 15% cheaper at a fully participating VSP location, but again, cheaper than ExpertEyes by more than 20%, with a better exam. The other concern is with the warranty, by design through insurance, I should expect to use the glasses for at least two years, but the warranty is only one year, doesn't make sense. So if you do not have VSP for your insurance, I would very highly recommend. read more

I lost my glasses at Comerica Park on a Saturday afternoon (while wearing my sunglasses) I am blind as a bat without them - so bad that I can't see where I put them when I take them off. I still had my Rx sunglasses but you can't wear those all day so I made an appt at LensCrafters (Sunday) to get new glasses in one day. This was the only location that was open on Sunday. The staff was very helpful - I ended up buying two pairs so if I lost one. . Turns out only one set of lenses could be made the same day, but they wouldn't be completely done. I'd have to come back to get the second pair. I left with a pair of loaner frames and lenses that were good enough to get thru the day. I got a call a few days later that my second pair had come in. I went back only to find that the second pair was not in, just the "finished" frames/lenses to replace what I was wearing. They wanted me to give them the frames back and then come back in a few days. I guess it was going to take days to change the lenses out? That made no sense as they already knew that I couldn't survive with only my sunglasses. So that was a wasted trip. Eventually my second pair came in and I ended up with two great pairs of glasses. But beware if you don't have insurance. I went during their "sale" and still ended up paying $800.00 for them. Granted, I have a complicated Rx but it was still sticker shock! read more

First time here and the staff was more than pleasant. The only complaint I had was Lens Cafters advertise an out of network VSP insured ad on their website, turns out they 100% do not take any out of net Work insurance, very misleading when I got their, they said they called my provider but they were closed (ofcourse) Which is a lie and that they're sure I'm cover and I can pay out of pocket now and be reimbursed later. $450 total with a new set of frame, I was able to use a Aaa discount thankfully, but this place is a whole scam. The lenses you can buy cheaper else where and even online. They're desperate to make a sale, I will never come back again read more

I live in Chicago but came back to Michigan for my brother's wedding and had forgotten my contacts! My old eye doctor (JC Penney Optical - BOOOOOOO) was incredibly rude and refused to help me at all. My Chicago eye doctor faxed my prescription to Lenscrafters and spoke to Chris and told me he would be waiting for me there. He greeted me upon entering and got me in a chair and helped me right away! Within 20 minutes, I had an entire strip of contacts to last me the next week! I had to purchase more to be sent to my apartment in Chicago, but the price was good and I can always use more contacts. They were incredibly nice, friendly, and helpful when I was in desperate need. I walked out of there with clear vision and went on my way to the rehearsal dinner. Yay Lenscrafters! Yay Chris! I highly recommend this place and won't waste my time going anywhere else the next time I'm back home and in a bind. read more

As soon as I entered Maryan greeted me and welcomed me to their store! She was so helpful she asked about my prescription and where it was from, off the bat. I liked that she didn't waste time and asked where my prescription was from, and Rightaway assisted me with receiving my prescription from Henry Ford. I am the type of customer that likes to look at everything and she was so patient with helping me look at every frame that I wanted. She took pictures so that I could send them to my mom from her tablet. She took the time to explain every type of lenses that they had to make sure that I got exactly what I needed and fit me perfectly. She even used the Accufit to perfectly measure my eye. Finally, I found my perfect frame and was so pleased. Highly, recommend Maryan to help! Wish everyone gave customer service like her! read more

Bought a pair of Coach semi-rimless glasses started having reaction between eyebrows where metal frame touched skin. When I went to store they adjusted the frame to minimize contact, this did not stop reaction. Went back to have updated lenses out into all plastic Helium frames, told by LensCrafters there was nothing they could do for me with regards to the Coach frames. read more

Horrible customer service!!. The gentleman who we had was snippy with his attitude toward us. I asked if we could have progressive lenses in a couple of days, my brother came here last year and they did this. He said that if his rx changed they may not be able to do this. Ok I accept that answer, so I ask him based on his current rx if it did change slightly what are the ranges of their stock lenses. He told me it didn't work that way. Well I am a licenced optician in California and have a lab in my facility. I do know how it works, mr lenscrafter. He wasn't interested in helping my brother get glasses before he leaves the country. He will have to get his glasses when he comes to California. read more

Place is great,Dr. Carolyn was so nice and helpful. Helped me pick out my frames. Maryan was wonderful too. Thanks for being so helpful.

A lady sales person/ optician assistant with heavy accent was so rude with us and very unprofessional when we're trying to inquire for insurance coverage from our health provider. When she cannot find the information about our vision insurance, she told us goodbye while we're trying to explain to her. We were so dissappointed and went to a different optical center, Pearle Vision which we were accommodated and treated properly. read more

Paid over $500 for 2 for $69 glasses. Everyone was really nice, and I got customized glasses, but the total was still a shock.
