I was told I had to pay for the exam to come back in to have my glasses adjusted to the right lens and I had to pay for the adjustments. They didn't do it right the first time and I'm suppose to pay for their mistake. Don't go there. I spent $800 on 2 pair of glasses and this is how they treat their customers when they mess up. They're not even worth one star.

I visit this great location on the corner of Schoenherr and Hall Road every 2 years since 2008. I…read moream covered by BC/BS with VSP choice insurance for my eye exam, glasses or lenses. I was greeted after walking in the door by 2 or 3 smiling receptionists at the check in counter. The whole lobby is huge with different areas of designer frames or sun glasses on the walls from children/youth then men and women's frames (see photos). all with one's budget. I walked a few steps to a waiting room area for my 9:30am exam. there are many soft comfy chairs and a counter with a set up of regular and decaf coffee and hot water with regular black tea bags (see photo). I made myself a decaf coffee cream only and drank a 1/4 of it when my name was called for exam and history check. My examiner was pleasant, went through her check list in 15 minutes. Then my Optometrist doctor came in to chat a bit then started my 15 minute eye exam. She is always happy to answer any questions I have and explains herself with my exam since my parents have eye issues, I hope not to inherit with my eyes. Her name is Dr. Xanthi Tuchowski. After finishing up with Dr. Tuchowski I was escorted by the check in nurse to "Lindsey" in the frames area for fitting, paperwork with insurance coverages etc. I picked out a new pair of frames (Free by insurance and 50% off lenses since my old 2nd backup pair was from 2010 and scratched and not worth fixing. So donate old and keep old ones as back glasses. New style of frames, plastic lightweight is great with progressive lenses, no glared, scratch resistant thank you for that option finally. She said 7 to 10 days so ??? Monday the 19th? I took a photo of all the businesses cards of the many different doctors that work at this location. The hours listed are flexible! Overall I spend less, than an hour here since timing is wonderful, efficient and fast with Henry Ford OptimEyes. My new glasses were ready in 7 days 2-17-18. Again efficient great employees who know and enjoy their jobs for delivering #1 customer satisfaction and proud to offer customized eyewear. *Being a 10 year customer I was offered a travel mug or lunch bag so I picked the lunch bag (see photo). thanks to all at Henry Ford OptimEyes ! My eyesight was compromised and I needed experienced individuals for my after surgery care. Naturally, I was extremely cautious in trusting my sight with, yet, another stranger. I was originally slated to see Dr. Simone. An emergency arouse and I had the option of rescheduling for a later date or seeing Dr. Varanelli at roughly the same time and date. Fate is a strange thing. Now, I won't see any other eye guy. The minute I met the doctor I became at ease. He has an incredible way about him. Very calming and polite. A funny man that's the utmost professional. I learned about different tests he performs. He has the ability to provide insight to my overall health by looking in the back of my eyes (I believe there's a small pun in that last sentence). The staff there is very accommodating and efficient. I worked with Emily today and it was good times. I can't tell you whether or not she is great at her job or using that high-tech Star Trek looking stuff the right way. But I passed all my tests with flying colours so I guess she's wonderful. I would never recommend…read moreanyone to get service here, because of the hassle you'll have to go through just to get a hold of them. I tried to get a pair of sunglasses through them, and after my first phone call where an employee named Debbie told me how I should pick out the glasses online, I couldn't get a hold of them for two weeks. When they finally answered a call, I spoke to Debbie again and told her what pair I wanted. She said she'd order them and then send them to me when they got to the office. Almost two more weeks later, I tried calling again because I hadn't received the sunglasses yet. For a few days in a row, I kept trying to get a hold of them, but they never once answered or responded to any voicemails I left. Then I find out that Debbie was purposefully screening my calls. After calling a couple times one day, I immediately called back on a different phone number/area code, and Debbie answers right away. She was audibly disappointed that it was me calling, which is honestly very hurtful. I don't want to feel like a hassle when I'm giving someone my business and so much of my time. She told me that she never listened to my voicemail and never ordered the glasses, so I had to stay on the phone with her for a while giving her my info again while she ordered them finally. Again, I've never encountered such an unprofessional situation before, and I hate to judge the whole business based on Debbie, but she was the only one who answers calls I guess. I feel like screening calls and dodging a customer is termination-worthy. I just hope to never have to deal with Debbie again, so I will not be coming here for anything else.
