He goes over the photo scans and explains what he looks for and it puts me so at ease knowing that he is paying attention and looking for those details. I always leave feeling confident after my appointments that any questions I had were answered and I know exactly what to expect for ordering any glasses or contacts and future appointments. They have multiple locations throughout the area including Lake Orion. They have late nights on Tuesdays until 7 PM but aren't open on the weekends. Facility is tucked away right off Walton and has a decent parking lot with lots of handicap parking spots up front. I was able to make an appoint with ease but they were super busy at the Rochester location. Walking in the place is quite large with ample seating and a coffee area. The frame shop is in the front to pick out new glasses and holds decent hours. I checked in at the desk and was taken back on time for my appointment. I did have to fill out paperwork which I hated doing. I had two separate technicians for the first part of my exam and then met with the doctor for the final part which wasn't to terribly long. Appointment ran an hour and I was in and out in no time. I only gave four stars because I was told when I checked in I would be given sunglasses after having my eyes dilated and was never given them on my way out. Fortunately my mom was driving me so I didn't have to worry about that part but was kind of bummed. Also the frame shop is nice but limited selection and kind of expensive. If you have VSP insurance, get your prescription and go to SVS Vision or Visionworks for your frames and lenses.

I can't imagine going anywhere else now that I've had the BEST! My husband has to come with me each time, (for his appt too), since I'm so afraid of going to the eye dr. He mentioned afterward, on the way home, that, and I quote, "Thankfully Dr. Leung is still young so will be there awhile!" I couldn't agree more! Why do I like this eye dr. so much? He is patient, and that is saying something for someone like me who is scared to death of the eye dr. I don't know where this comes from, but the why is beside the point. He is so patient with me, takes time to explain about my eyes and shows the pictures they took of my eyes. He did the same for my husband. He lets us stay in the same room during our eye exams and that helps to calm me. Now for the staff...they are all exceptional! Friendly, answers any questions, and are patient when looking for frames when I can't decide which ones I would look best in. (Neither of us needed frames yesterday at our appt. but from past experience know this to be true). You don't feel rushed here, and everyone makes you feel like you are the ONLY patient they have! I told her that I learned more in one visit (for my son, not even an appt for myself) then I have learned in many years seeing other eye doctors. dr. Johnny absolutely takes time to explain everything to you about your eyes. I have been seeing another eye doctor and paying out of pocket for a reevaluation every year. Dr. Johnny said that that diagnosis/solution (prism) RARELY EVER CHANGES, so I don't need to keep going back and having it evaluated and paying hundreds of dollars. Holy crap! He also explained what macular degeneration is and what causes it. My blonde son with light blue eyes needs to be wearing a baseball hat and sunglasses as often as possible to prevent it in his old age. So those are just two examples of fantastic helpful friendly information I got in one hour. Not to mention, the staff is so nice and helpful. My husband and I both got awesome frames that we love and get lots of compliments on. (and by the way, just now my husband had an issue with his friends and they fixed it quickly and no problem!!!) I just really can't say enough about this office and would recommend it HIGHLY and ENTHUSIASTICALLY to anyone!

My husband's glasses were wildly expensive and they came in after two weeks, and they forgot the coating. So off they go back to be remade. Another two weeks. This is frustrating for items that cost two car parents apiece. Maybe I'm old fashioned but these issues could have been mitigated.
