This review is for the Glenwood Springs location. The staff is absolutely amazing!! They are so sweet on the phone, when we came in and when we picked up our dog. She had the best day ever and fell asleep as soon as she got in the car. We're are traveling on a road trip and wanted to check out the adventure park. We have used a lot of doggy daycares and this one has been the best so far. They shared so many pictures on her report card. The building and lobby were so cute. We just picked up our dogs after boarding our two large, high energy pups for the long weekend. We live in AZ but have been on a road trip with the pups and found ourselves needing to board them for a few days. The staff at Wanderlust made it incredibly easy to board them considering we were out of town guests and couldn't meet them before the boarding visit. They have an easy text system to communicate before and throughout the visit. Let's talk about their visit! While we weren't there, we got TONS of photos of them every day doing all sorts of activities and looking so happy. We actually commented on how our dogs made faces we've never seen before in the photos. Just posing and "cheesing" it up for the camera. This may have been the outcome of some particularly savory treats, or extra-loving staff, or boundless friends and fun; or all of this! We have been going to Wanderlust for years . We have 2 Mini Aussies Jessie and Casey. They LOVE it there ! Jessie likes to herd Jason ...the owner...but he usually surprises her with a treat right before she goes to grab the bottom of his jeans. The facility is clean. They love the pool. Casey our youngest loves Lexi one of the best employees there. When they go there overnight ( we call it doggie camp) they come home happy and tired. Great job Wanderlust Team ! read more

Driving into Vail for a day of skiing ...called Wanderlust the afternoon before to see if they could take our lab for the next day. They were full, but called me right back and found a space for us. Did a shots and reference check via email and phone calls. They picked up the dog from the hotel, kept us abreast as to where she was, and brought her back happy and tired later in the afternoon. I am the poster child for "over protective dog owner" that said, I have found a place where I can drop off my 3 dogs without getting a stomach ache.. The staff is caring and attentive. They send pictures take my calls and text me updates. My dogs come home happy and tired. The test I use to know the dogs have a good experience at Wanderlust is they go into the building happy with anticipation, not whining like they do at the vets. Lol read more

Amazing. Just amazing. I cannot say enough great things about Jason and the entire staff here. We were up in Eagle for about six weeks and decided to try doggie day care. We have a rescued chocolate lab that loves other dogs, but is terrified of people until she has been around them for a long time. We have been to countless dog trainers over the years to address her issues (thankfully, just fear of people and no aggression). We should have just started here. Jason and the entire team are calm, caring and compassionate. I mean it, every single person is fantastic. They "get" how to respond to dogs and let the scared dogs warm up to them without forcing the interaction. Both of our dogs have blossomed during their time here. Our chocolate is rolling on her back and letting the staff rub her belly. Never in my wildest dreams did I think my chocolate would let someone do this in a setting like doggie daycare. And our elderly golden retriever seems to have found his groove again, has more energy and is so happy. Both dogs are pulling to go into the building when we drive into the parking lot and at the end of the day the dogs don't want to leave. We have been considering moving back to the mountains and honestly, knowing that Wanderlust is here is just another reason to make the move! We were in Colorado for a couple of weeks and brought our five month old puppy with us. Not wanting to leave her alone all day when we were enjoying the mountains we boarded her with Wanderlust and we are convinced we found our puppy's happy place. Everyone who worked there was awesome, our puppy made some new friends and were saw some adorable pictures of her time at the Ranch. The owner Jason took the time to show us around the facility and it truly was unbelievable. We were in Vail with our dogs for a week and needed someone to care for our dogs for one day while we went white water rafting. I was so glad to find this awesome dog sitting service! The staff were great and the owner just adore our dogs! They sent us pictures of our dogs while they were under their care which gave us some peace of mind. When we picked up our dogs, they were clean and I could tell that my dogs love the people there. They even called us a day later to check on the dogs and when we got home, we received a postcard with a picture of our dogs during their stay! Hands down my favorite local business. My pup and i have been super regular patrons for almost a year. He is just now one and a half. I work for myself and having a place where i can take my best buddy that he loves has made a huge difference in both of our lives. My husky pup has his own lil life that mum knows only a tad about. They'll send pics and report on best buds and his love interests. The owners & employees have offered the most supportive guidance to me as well- having this full blown highly active and intelligent husky. My family and I were traveling in CO this past weekend and needed a place for our dogs to stay while we were in Vail. We were so impressed with this facility and staff! I wish we lived closer so whenever we traveled out of town our dogs could stay here. We love that the dogs are not kept in kennels all day. They are free to roam in beautiful grassy yards or indoor play areas. We also like that they group the dogs by size and age. The overnight kennels are very spacious too! Jason is just wonderful. He really loves his job and it shows! Dropped my 2 dogs to be groomed this morning with ease! He had then back to me within 3 hours and they looked beautiful! The store front in Eagle Ranch Village offers grooming (reasonably priced at $30 for each of my dogs) as well as Doggie Day Camp! Jason also offers hiking, punch cards, and transportation! Boarding is offered at Jason's ranch and there are no kennels or cages! The rates are again reasonable! Highly recommend Wanderlust and I will be using them to board my dogs as well in the future. read more

it was my first time using wanderlust since two years ago wow what has happened I used to feel comfortable dropping off my dog with the employees. Not anymore that's for sure . My dog was not happy to go the next day he did not want to leave my car . He has gone to different daycares all his life and I've never ever seen him react like that. read more

Great pup camp with super caring staff! Boarded our two dogs here for four nights and they both came home happy and tired which with high energy dogs was truly wonderful. Wanderlust dropped off the pups off at home on their last day so we didn't have to hurry back from the airport to pick them up. Our dogs (two golden retrievers) just returned from 7 days of boarding with Jason @ Wanderlust. They were happy and pooped out, which tells us they were active and having a good time. His pick up and drop off service was very convenient. Before we made our reservation we toured the facility and he explained their program of activities, all of which was very good. Plenty of room to roam with other dogs and a good sleeping situation. No crates or cages. Plus, their rates are extremely reasonable. Looking forward to using Wanderlust again. read more

On top of being a caring professional who took excellent care of our 3 (spoiled) dogs (including a puppy and a senior on lots of meds), he singlehandedly saved our Christmas when we encountered a lodging snafu. UPDATE: Sept 2017: After my dogs had been at Wanderlust for 5 consecutive days, I picked them up & upon arriving home discovered that one dog had a tear in his ear. I immediately called the office to inform them. Went to vet where it was determined that the ear was clipped from another dogs tooth. I called several times to discuss the issue & was told that it did not happen when the dog was under their care. I was then told that I would not be allowed to bring my dogs back for overnight care (of which they were scheduled to be at for 2 weeks), which clearly doesn't give me time to get the dogs acclimated to another facility. NOT once did anyone apologize or admit that the employees may not have been watching them as well as they say they do (which is all I asked for to be done). So the end results are that both my dogs and I are being punished by not being allowed to come back because one of the employees wasn't watching the dogs well enough to see that he was bleeding. The owner, Jason, couldn't bother to contact me the following day to apologize or offer to pay for the $70 vet bill. Every employee there had excuse after excuse, one employee, Gary, even told me that he himself had been bitten by a dog that was so bad that he thought he needed to get stitches. I have literally spent thousands of dollars at this business and they have been negligent. read more
