What an absolutely wonderful experience! My little Doggo and I were in a very terrible car accident on Vail Pass and I needed to get her into the vet to make sure that she was going to be safe enough physically and mentally to fly home. They took us in with 45 minutes notice to make sure that she checked out and got her the appropriate sedatives in order for us to get home on a plane after all of the trauma we had been through. They were so nice and welcoming and the staff was absolutely as sweet as pie. As we said our goodbyes I said to them thank you and I hope I never have to see you again. But if I lived in the area they would be my first choice for veterinary services! Update! They called me a few days after they saw us- just to check in. How sweet!!!!? Love them. read more

Doctor Wheeler and her tech (sorry I didn't get his name) were beyond helpful to me. They came in at 11 pm and continued to help me until 3am when my dog was having issues. Even after I left the vet and Dr. Wheeler was back home, she drove back to her office to get more medicine to help my dog. I was blown away by her customer service. Unfortunately, my dog had to be euthanized early the next day and Dr. Wheeler and her tech came over (after already being up all night) to my house to put my dog down in her favorite spot to lay. 10/10 I will recommend this veterinary clinic to everyone! read more

I am so happy I discovered Mountain Animal Hospital Center and Mobile Veterinarian! Dr. Sheila and her team are incredibly knowledgeable, and have a sincere passion for helping both animals and their owners. As my beloved cat ages, I have been overwhelmed by anxiety. I want to do everything in my power to keep him healthy and happy for as long as possible. He has had a concerning brown spot in his eye that has been getting bigger over the years. Dr. Sheila immediately diagnosed the spreading, brown mass as a melanoma, had a surgeon take a second look at the eye, and tested the pressure in the eye. She spent a great deal of time helping me to understand the steps I would need to take to prevent the cancer from spreading. I am so relieved to have someone with her level of knowledge and care monitoring my baby. Last Saturday July 25 2021 at noon while we were staying in Vail; our one year old mini dachshund named Penny lost the ability to use her rear two legs and had diarhhea, no appetite when she woke from her morning nap. We needed to find a vet clinic open on a Saturday as we were not heading down to our home in Denver until Monday. Mountain Animal Clinic was open until 2 on Saturday- what a blessing! Dr. Madeleine Wheeler and her staff were amazing when we arrived at 130 PM. They immediately began running all types of tests and procedures including xrays as dachshunds are prone to back issues. Penny was very lethargic during this time. It turns out she may have ingested a toxin from an unknown source. Dr. Wheeler and her staff stayed open until we were completely finished around 3:30 armed with medications, a prescription to fill and cans of Royal Canin gastrointestinal wet food. Dr. Wheeler and her team were very prompt with sending Penny's vet in Denver all the xrays and test results and I have received a couple of follow up emails this week as well! Penny- may not have made it through the night without the expert care we received. We are grateful to know that when we are in our mountains with Penny we have a gracious and reliable veterinary clinic to use if necessary. Thank you for being available that day!!! read more

Sheila F. Is so so great with my dogs! There are other vets closer to me but I would rather drive an extra 30min to go see her. My dogs usually get really stressed out at the vet and they feel really comfortable there. One of my dogs had to have surgery and we were quoted sooooo much lower than anywhere else in the Valley when it is the exact same Mobile Surgeon operating at all clinics around here. We arrived in Vail from Virginia and our poor pup had a huge abscess. Michelle took our call on a Sunday night and was very helpful and then Dr. Sheila came the next day and was wonderful. Not only did she treat our dog and us with kindness and care, but we have been getting continuous follow up calls. He healed well but our poor pooch has not been doing well with the altitude, we think, and they keep checking in to see how he is doing. Fantastic personal attention. Separately, we needed the names of some pet sitters and groomers, and Dr. Sheila has provided great resources and even got him with a booked up groomer. Dr Elizabeth Foster saved my dogs life! My dog, Duke had started showing signs of a major problem. He stopped eating and threw up everything, including water. Dr. Foster was quick to detect an intestinal blockage and performed a major surgery to correct the problem. My dog Duke had much of his intestines operated on. Dr Foster showed her excellence through the success of my dogs surgery and recovery. Not only my dog got back to his old self, but Dr. Foster treated me and Duke with the compassion you could only expect from a family member. Imagine you are in a place 1000 miles from home. And tho you are an experienced dog owner you are watching your daughters dog while she is on a business trip. And the poor lab gets to passing blood and vomit at 11:00pm. What do you do? You use the Internet. Is that the best way to find a vet? No, but it's near midnight. So we called and Sheila Fitzpatrick answered her phone and we arranged to meet her at their Edwards office. She came with her eight year old and a terrific bet assistant. She quickly knew what was wrong and confirmed it with tests. It was a Clostridium infection. Seems our boy plays in shallow water and meets dogs in the dog park in Denver. He needed and IV and an hour of time. We went to a funky bar down the empty street. One drink later and our daughters dog looked 100 percent better. By two in the morning we were home and are nursing a recovering dog. This is what makes America so great. Middle of the night, no prior relationship with the vet, no shot records. Just a smile and reassurance from Sheila Fitzpatrick DVM and a fair charge and well wishes. Eagle at midnight was the vets office and the bar. I even met the friendly local police officer. In owning dogs for 50 years I never needed and emergency vet but she is there for you with good care and a great personality. Her vet assistant was just wonderful,too. read more

Dr. Liz was compassionate, knowledgeable, professional, and thorough. She did a fantastic job with my girl and kept me up to date each step of the way.
