Specialties
I am an expert in animal care and have over 30 years of experience working with animals. I provide high quality care to all of the pets I help out with. I hold a Red Cross certification for pet First-aid/CPR, CODE 3 Associates for Animal Search and Rescue, and am continuing education in animal welfare and behavioral care. Along with, caring for young to older animals. I can administer medications, shots, changing bandages, etc. I am deeply passionate about what I do, and here for a reason.
My services include; boarding at my home, overnights at the owners home, walks, hikes, and pet checkins. I provide pictures, and updates throughout the pets stay at my home, from walks and hikes, and everything in between. I have lived in the Upper and Lower Roaring Fork Valley since 2012. I am on the Glenwood Springs Chamber, and New Castle Chamber. I love volunteering at the local shelters, and being active in the community. I love helping and care about all living beings.
History
Established in 2022.
Although the business was formulated in 2022, we have been caring for animals and reptiles for over 20+ years. We started off with doing overnights for bosses and landlords. Volunteering at local shelters including; Aspen Animal Shelter, Colorado Animal Rescue (CARE), and Journey Home Animal Rescue. Along with, an experience that left us saying, “I could do this job better than that other person”, and I am deeply passionate about animals and love them so much. I am in a field where I am meant to be.
Meet the Business Owner: Katrina I.
I am originally from Denver, Colorado, and moved to the Roaring Fork Valley in 2012. I knew when I was a young girl that the mountains was where I was meant to be. I’m so thankful that I get to incorporate hiking with dogs in my business, because the mountains are just outside of my door. I have 3 rescue dogs, and 2 rescue cats plus another cat (my partner bought for our kiddo). Local issues I care deeply about for animal welfare include; reinstating an Animal Control /Shelter in Garfield County, Animal Search and Rescue (ASAR) for natural disasters (like fires), and community educational programs for animal welfare and behavioral issues. My long term goal is to have an animal sanctuary, where any type of animal can come to rest or play without the fear of euthanasia.
